Richard E. Grant is still devastatingly handsome, and I love all his performances. This interview with Rob Brydon highlights what a delightful guy he is, as is Rob!
This is such a great interview! Nothing prepares you for this. I cheered, I shouted, I fist-pumped the air, I cried, I stood and cheered. It’s absolutely everything I hoped it was going to be.
What a(nother) delight! Richard is a long time favourite , and i've recently been enjoying watching him swanking, that's swanking, about in fancy pants hotel, with his usual gleeful enthusiasm . Rob and Richard chemistry and warm humour is wonderful to witness.
What a wonderful twosome. 2 great funny and warm role models... Richard all your public following send big love and support at this extremely sad time for you and your family 💜
When he started talking about filling his house with flea market trinkets, I was hooked. I can just imagine his wife and him walking around getting excited about papier mache head

I am so enjoying your wonderful videos, Rob, and Richard E. Grant is one of my favourites! Fingers crossed you'll keep doing them for a while yet. It's tremendously uplifting to see you rethink and recreate your art in the same way that we're all trying to do...though your video quality is a lot better than most! Thank you!
Mr. Grant is now officially invited to my famous hypothetical dinner ("If you could invite 8 people, alive or dead, to a dinner party..."). You, too, Uncle Bryn. ;-)
I love this interview, I love Richards acting career and I've always been a fan of his since I watched WithNail & I so many years ago. All I could think when I watched it was this actor is superb and hands down funny as heck! Thank god for social media, now I can follow his career on it. If I could have a dream job, it would be to work on set with Richard. I don't care what I would do. I would get him whatever he wanted.🙏😆...I would just love to watch a true professional in action.❤
Me too a wonderful guy, i love everything i see him in. There was an excellent interview by Clive James with Richard (which I saw only RUclips only recently) hes a fascintaing guy and so generous to all those he meets.
I want to say thanks for all the warm comments and likes.….. Oh well since I got too many messages over at my blue print account so I decided to isolate myself here and reach at to few of my fans without you I wouldn't have been here today. Kisses to your lovely heart ❤️

Another wonderfully warm interview. Richard E telling Barbara Streisand that he has a model of her head in his home whilst at a showbiz gathering is fucking mental.
Mr. Brydon, as an American may I just say, you are bloody brilliant. I have been a huge fan of Gavin and Stacey as well as Would I Lie to You, as well of every other thing you’ve done. Richard E Grant, Dr. Who, Twelfth Night, Spice Girls...America has a lot of work to do to catch up to the Brits!

Probably the most enjoyable one yet !! And I’ve liked all of these interviews!!! Rob asks very interesting questions and they seem to have a very good relationship! And I love Richard E Grant!!
Brilliant interview chat trip down memory lane a snipit of your lives ❤️👍interesting because we can remember the acting but not the work or effort to get to do the job,,
4:21 "Everybody has had the experience of starting of from scratch where nobody knows you from Adam." Not everybody, surely. I can't help thinking that perhaps Emilia Fox, Alice Eve, Samuel West, Kate Beckinsale, Daniel Day-Lewis and many others had a bit of help along the way and did not have to start right from scratch. I don't blame them; I'm just pointing it out.
You’re a lucky man, Rob. Richard E. Grant allowed you to post this interview, unlike his RHLSTP with Richard Herring, which he banned from broadcast with no explanation.
Tara Charnow I’ve liked the Herring variety of Richard for over 27 years but he can sometimes let his nerves and comic persona drift in to the ‘offensive dick’ territory in his interviews as he admits himself. I get the feeling the E Grant variety does not suffer fools gladly unless they are friends or he gets the joke. If Herring is unknown to E Grant then I could see how this particular episode of what all the cool kids are calling it, might have been an unenjoyable train wreck for the E Grant variety. Just look at the Stephen Merchant interview and Merchant understands the schtick but is still not having a fun time!
@@FStarNumber3 Merchant was the biggest dick. There was nothing in that interview that Herring hasn't done with everyone. There was no reason for Merchant to be an asshole except for the fact that he wanted to be an asshole.
Rob and Richard in a Wes Anderson film? Please someone make this happen! Rob could do several characters if it was a claymation/stop-motion, like "Isle of Dogs" or "Fantastic Mr. Fox". Though I'd rather they actually appear on screen.
It would be Wes Anderson, Rob could play a pair of twins who are arch-rivals/sworn enemies ever since the incident in their childhood. (You KNOW Rob would love getting to 'show his range.')

Never even knew these videos had time stamps in the timeline. I enjoy the conversation so much that I only noticed because this is a longer video. Such a natural interviewer
I adore you both. Uncle Brynn for your discretion about that night with your nephew and Richard E. Grant you were absolutely brilliant in "Can You Ever Forgive Me." Rob Brydon if I see your name in a cast, I know I'm going to smile to my core. You are the best!
I was there, which I am very grateful for since it was never released, however the memory fades and it really annoyed me that he or his people didn't allow it to be uploaded. Don't know why, maybe because of Rich's teasing about not being able to talk about star wars? Or maybe he was embarrassed about Rich introducing him as being best known for playing long john silver ("You absolute fucker. I never played long john silver")
Richard Herring... I really don't see the appeal, I don't enjoy him or his interviews AT ALL. (I know, there must be something I'm missing, but I just don't see why people like him, or even agree to be interviewed by him.) He just comes across as a wealthy boy who grew up with wealthy connections to get him 'in' to interview much more interesting people than himself. At least Brydon seems actually interested in his guests and what they have to say (especially about Brydon, ha, but other things as well), without flipping his hair every few seconds to show how 'rock-n-roll' he mistakenly thinks he is. If Herring cut his hair and wore clean clothes, would he have any appeal without some part of his look to play with as he twaddles along?
Yes, back in the 70s, you'd see a star driving by in their Rolls and say good old Jimmy Savile, he's done well. And look, he's got his young daughter with him. So cute.
Love Richard E Grant, he should have gotten an Oscar for Withnail & I, he was fantastic.
Withnail and I is epic.
Deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to Richard on the recent passing of Joan, the love of his life.

I have bumped at Richard Grant in Richmond while walking Thames path. Literally bumped ;) He's a true gent and seems pretty humble and normal.
Lovely guy, very humble and modest.
Uncle Bryn is very good at bringing out the best with his guests.

Rob - I'm enjoying meeting all your famous friends. Stay humble...it's very endearing.
Thanks Rob, another great interview, already looking forward to the next one!

I thought Richard Grant was already famous after Withnail and I. He became one of my favorite actors at that point.
Same here
Absolutely love this. Two of my absolute favourite people.
Such a happy conversation between friends! 💞

Wonderful interview uncle Bryn.
Great episode Rob. I still remember when you and Richard both played a certain cartoon pirate fox in the 90s! Thank you both!
Brilliant as ever!
Love that Uncle Bryn came out!
What a great interview rob you really put your guests at ease best thing you could have done have you interviewed Steve coogan

Great interview. Would love to see the one with Richard Herring on RHLSTP which his people stopped? 🤷♂️
Grant the best, always with his sunshine smile.
What I’d give to see Rob and Richard in a Wes Anderson film.
Why not get Lee Mack and David Mitchell on?
Because they're both annoying AF?
Lol, Rob just answered your question on the new Q&A video on this channel😂

Richard will always be Withnail to me
He's got so much range. All the way from A to A. And Hugh Grant took shit
Does anyone know, from about the 8.50 mark what that minute's worth of music was about? Was it supposed to be a transition of some sort? Ta!
We've gone on holiday by mistake!
Of course he’s the fucking farmer!
I have distressing news. We're out of wine. What do you propose to do about it?
Richard should be the next Dr Who!!!
