I recently had some personal stuff come up in life since this comment and have found myself not being able to be on youtube very much so I haven't been able to dive down the rabbit hole... however, thanks to this comment, I was able to listen to Nothing Else Matters and I literally have no words. Speechless. A pure masterpiece. I even told my girlfriend after listening... "I think I just heard the absolute greatest rendition of Nothing Else Matters I've ever heard." and she replied "is that why you've been staring at the wall for the last five minutes without saying anything?" LOL! Thank you!!!!!!

There is something equally haunting but comforting about Layne’s whistling
What is also crazy is thinking about the production behind this as well. I can't imagine mixing all these together and making it sound so great, some of the effects are just so perfect to enhance the experience. This is such a great performance on all sides from the delivery down to the production.

@@BeanBlaster21 With all the editing it sounds like a chest note. Voiceplay adds a lot of bass boost to the bass line causing it to sound like chest all the time. Same thing with other a capella groups. In a choir, there is no editing except the natural human voice.
