- On my ‘Spider-man Villains as Spider-man’ episodes, I got a lot of requests for the same thing but with Batman and his rogue’s gallery! With The Flash Into the Bat-everse having just come out, it seemed like a perfect time to try it!
In this episode we’ve got a Two-face who was saved by Batman then took over his roll as Gotham’s protector. We also have a Mr Freeze who is inspired by the death of his wife and some encouragement from Bruce Wayne becomes an icey version of Batman. Then there is a plant manipulating Bat in Poison Ivy. Finally, we have Riddler as a version of Batman who’s parents were killed by a dark version of Bruce Wayne.

We always talk about how Batman reflects the darkness from these feelings, but we never think about how the villains can reflect the light of the Batman
Not least because Batman is a truly complex character, not just a gentle hero

I think the best part about this idea is that it just makes sense with Batman’s villains, even the Joker has become Batman… a weirdly large amount of times

The Riddler's story is so in character while also being so clever and fun. It's so GOOD.

@@adrii204 No megamind is good in nature, that's what his story is about, nature overcoming nurture. he was given the chance to be good so he took it. Saitama on the other hand became a hero because he was bored in life.
@@crystonlight5804 but the concept of "Villain becoming hero due to boredom" applies better to Megamind that to Saitama. Megamind was a villain, Saitama was just some guy.
@@adrii204 but the reason is more important than the pretense. Megamind is someone who was evil because that was who he had to be but chose to be good when given the opportunity. Saitama chose to be a hero out of boredom and wanting to have fun. This positions Saitama similarly to the "Riddling Bat" by way of purpose in becoming a hero rather than the unimportant origin of villainy. If the only way for our Caped Baldy to be challenged was as a villain he would probably be one. His wanting only for the thrill of the fight is emphasized by the Subterranean King dream sequence where it shows that his greatest desire is just a good fight.
I always thought Harvey Dent would make a pretty interesting Batman, especially with how his suit could be split down the middle
He was the one I was most excited to do! Knew it would be very different from any other design I've done because of the split!

@@PopCross hey could you please do Lilo and Stitch experiments as kaiju and RWBY characters as human mega mute hybrids and how to train your dragon dragon species but what if they appeared in the monsterverse but not as titans but as some individual or extremely lucky dragons had the rare ability in their very DNA to transform into MONUMENTAL and sometimes monstrous versions of themselves with new powers but like there Alpha mode/state the dragon can transform and revert back to their normal forms at will this form is sometimes called the Mega Ultimate Titan Prime/Primal mode/state

the riddler-bat story could easily be something that is an actual comic. It fits so perfectly with his character.
I really liked the riddler story! Why these villains would become "bat themed" if they turned good is a hard thing to justify, the riddler story did it really well while staying exceptionally true to the character! Good work on that one!

I love your twist to the Two-Face coin thing, just a perfect way to have him keep such an iconic item while still keeping with the feel of Batman
I like how compared to your Spider Man counterparts, these Bat Men (and Woman) have on average more self-centred motives, the biggest example being the holder of my favourite design; Riddler Bat (or as I’ve taken to calling him, Bat Box, as a play off of Black Box). I also really liked the Two-Faced Bat, especially with the bloody bat symbol and the almost veiny design of the left side of the costume, plus using a doubled-head coin as a fear tactic is genius. This video was awesome, and I’d love to see more from this series, especially with some lesser-known villains as well! Keep up the stellar work!
Today is Day 61 of me requesting Shovel Knight characters as dragons.
What name's would you give to the other Batmen in this episode?
@@flameking1325 I'd call the Two Face one Vampire Bat due to how the left side of his body and bat logo are pretty bloody, plus it works with the whole intimidation thing he's got going on. Mr. Freeze could be called Torpor, which is the state that bats (as well as other mammals) go into during hibernation. Poison Ivy would be called Tacca, named after Tacca chantrieri, AKA the bat flower, which is notable for how its flowers somewhat resemble a bat.
Potential other Batman Villains to use:
1) Scarecrow
2) Harley Quinn (you knew she was coming)
3) Clayface (He wanted to just play Batman in a film. Now he can do one better and *be* the Bat!)
4) Killer Croc (crocodiles eat bats in real life- also, in the Suicide Squad film, Croc mentions that eating people gives him their strengths and abilities- maybe he ate Batman and inherited his heroism in the process?)
How do these sound, Christian?
That is basically the exact roster I'd wanna do if this gets round 2! Maybe switching either Clayface or Croc for Bane though
I think you should revisit this topic with a few others from Batman's rouge gallery, like Clayface, Penguin, Harley, Killer Croc, or Babydoll as a few examples.

Mr. Freeze: Frost Wing
Riddler: The Grifos (which means riddle in Greek)
Poison Ivy: I don't have any ideas about this one, so I am also gonna go with Poison Bat
Two Face: Crimson Shadow (because his face and what he wears are a combination of black and red)
It could also be Frost Bat, because it sounds like Frostbite.

This was an awesome video. The different paths you made for these villains is so captivating. All these different versions of DC and Marvel are stories I truly wish had their own multiverse. A completely different and fresh spin that I could get invested in if these got their own stories.

Amazing art as usual! I would like to suggest two things:
1. Machines from the Horizon games as fantasy beasts.
I would love to see you tackle the machines from the horizon games but I wasn't really sure which universe they would fit in but now I think I have a decent suggestion of lore:
The Makinas are great half-beast half-golem creatures that have the ability to terraform biomes and are extremely old, most have been in Hibernation for millenia, but with the recent upheaval of magic in Tayrun's World, these beasts have been waking up. The more peaceful ones at first, but with the 'help' of some unfriendly neighbourhood cults, the more dangerous extinction-class creatures have awakend been awakend with their programming telling them to eradicate everything so that a new world can be terraformed.
2. Team fortress 2 weapons as Fantasy armours.
I hope this is relatively self-explanatory, perhaps Vesilia could tell of an relative working for two rival brothers fighting over some territory and they both need armour for their mercenaries.

I've been suggesting Poison Ivy for a hot minute since I love her current title, so seeing her don the cape and cowl of the bat... Love it! It may not have been my favorite design, but it was still awesome! And after seeing this, I think I'll stop hammering away suggestions for her and wait a little bit before I get back at it with any new suggestions.

From comics to manga there is so much potential and I love this series
Two-face looks so good with how the suit is split down and his scarred face and the way only one side of his hair is out is so cool and the added detail of his coin just helps pull the picture together
Mr. Freeze is such a unique design with a fascinating blend of his original suit and the Batsuit, plus the detail of the smoke from his ice cannons is great
Poison Ivy though is definitely my favorite because of how parts of her suit look like leaves and the the parts of nature in her suit reflect both her powers and just look awesome
Riddler is an interesting design and the parts on his forearms that look like the upper halves of a question mark are an interesting touch, plus his pose is great
The stories for each of them are fascinating and reflect the characters wonderfully while adapting their stories to show how they end up as a new version of Batman. I especially like how Riddler isn’t doing it to save people like the others but to find rivals for his intellect

I love this series of turning a certain heroes villains, into the heroes, I also think a reverse of this where the hero is the villain would be interesting!!!

My favorites are the Riddler Batman and Poison Bat.
The details on the Riddler's suit are great, especially the question marks on the fabric.
And I love how Ivy's suit combines the Batman motives with her plant powers. It explains, how she can be Batman without the skills or the money to replicate the classic tools.
If you make a second part, Killer Croc would be interesting. Or how about the Scarecrow? After all, Batman does utilize fear in his getup.
Or maybe something completely left field like the Penguin.
Sigh, Batman just has the best villains. You never can choose just one...

@@PopCross flash villains as the flash. I can imagine captain cold, heatwave, pied piper, and the likes of mirror master as a flash variant. I know flash has speedster villains, so count those out. Mainly the Rogues would be better options, and other flash villains with no speed. Unless you want to also go the Gorilla Grodd route.

The Riddle feels like something along the lines of chaotic-neutral and chaotic-good.
Its so interesting how batmans rule is that he doesn't kill, but then literally cripples the people he fights

1) Venomized.
2) Sequel to superheroes with Leo, Piper and Jason (and maybe Frank, Hazel, Nico and Reyna later).
3) Other universes - e.g. My Hero Academia, in Suicide Squad, Mech Armours (I think that was referenced in a PvZ episode), DnD.
This was a fun, all the art in the episode was really good. I have an idea for an episode that involves Metal Hellsinger or it’s main character The Unknown. Here is what the story is about…. (By the way it’s a episode that involve ultra violent video game characters in a D&D story)
The Unknown (a Tiefling who was banished by the Red Judge who also took her voice) to go through 9 realms with her team of adventures which consist of a bounty hunter Fallen Aasimar (Dante from Devil May Cry), a demon slaying paladin (Doom Guy), and a demon slaying witch who knows how to beat people up with we feet (Bayonetta). The story ends up dealing with bosses that are from all of the games I mentioned, and ends with a D&D version of the Red Judge from Metal Hellsinger
The narrator is the Skull that tags along with the Unknown (which contains the soul of the Unknowns lover, Paz), also he has a southern draw to his voice (for research, just watch some cutscenes for Paz’s voice).

I also think a Certain dragon episode deserves a part 2 and even add a new character to the series… here’s that idea
Spencis Charnas Origin
After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Afterian used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him.
But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons.
But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said…
"He Drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake"
And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read….
"Left to die under the sun
The hive never spared anyone
How 'bout the hand for the honey bees
Hooked on the creed of their colony"
The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written.
Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too.
Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was….
Why is the Las Angels Guard after you?
He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done.
But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason.
Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place.
Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were…

(For context the character of Spencis is based off of Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas as a ringmaster like character, and The Honey-Hooked Wyvern and the Christal Lake Camp Stalker are based off of Candyman and Jason Voorhees respectively)
Also since we are getting a new Mortal Kombat game this September, I think Marvel Kombat 3 is in order
Also for a part 2 of this series, you gotta do killer Croc and Deathstroke
Something tells me that, for the Bat-Riddler one, Joker would be ESPECIALLY willing to solve those riddles, if only to be able to use Nigma's head as a paperweight.
While i like the two face bat story, i feel like mentioning one of my favorite DC characters, Dr. Leslie Thompkins.
A while back this year i started rewatching some older lore videos, and the amount of improvement in terms of both art and lore is inspiring.
Also, maybe turn Terraria npcs/ armors/ weapons into dinosaurs or dragons.
And yes, chess pieces as superheroes is still in my mind, for some reason.

How about members of the Justice League take up the mantle of Batman ? Kinda like an episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold where Green Arrow, Aquaman, Captain Marvel (Shazam), and Plastic Man all dressed up as the Batmen, while the Dark Knight himself was recovering.
The designs themselves are alright, but what I love most about these X as superheroes videos is the backstories you create for them! They’re just so intricate and compelling they feel Ike they’d be an actuall What if or else worlds tale written for a marvel or dc comic!
My favourite of these villain Batman’s is Poison Ivy’s backstory. Tying her relationship with Harley, and her concern for her abusive relationship to joker, to her motivation to become her universes batwoman was such a natural and inspired choice! I can easily imagine Pamala trying to convince Harley to turn to the side of good and/or being forced to fight her as batwoman could create a ton of compelling drama. Again, it feels like such a natural and inspired concept I can easily see it as an actual elseworlds tale written at DC.
This was amazing, PopCross. It's really difficult to choose which one was the best as all of them have great stories behind them... all I can say is in all irony, Two-Face DID try to be Batman during the, "Battle for the Cowl" Arc. However, your design is FAR better! Seriously, awesome work.

Day 25 (In Video) or Day 80 (Out of Video) of asking for The Crow as... anything! Maybe a dragon, maybe an armor, pick your favorite!
I love to imagine the Bat Riddler as an anti-hero. He'd be essentially just switching sides and doing good for purely selfish reasons. Heck! You don't even actually need him to become Batman, only to have Batman out of the picture and Edward Nygma realizing that the villains are far more interesting rivals.

Will this become more of a trend or is it reserved for Batman and Spider-Man since they have the most iconic rogues galleries? Also, another question, when will the long awaited fighting game video release so I can see you draw something Blazblue related?
I'm totally down to do Flash villains too! And just make this a running series in general if it catches on!
I think Poison Ivy and Two-Face's design are great, but Mr. Freeze and Riddler could use a little touch up. Instead of a cape Freezer Bat there could have mechanized batwings allowing for flight and could fold up when not in use and or detach and double as a Bat drone. As for Enigma Bat perhaps save the (flashing) question marks for the Utility belt, keeping his foes guessing which pocket has what gadget in it.
I always like how you add bits of story to each character as if you're building your own 'What-If' issue. The stories are also good at staying true to the original characters as well. I could definitely see most of these actually happening in one-off issues.
Idea: D-List villains as Batman. Sure, it's fun to see characters like Two-Face, Riddler and Mr. Freeze as believable Batmen, but what about the cannon fodder like Kite Man, Crazy Quilt or Polka-Dot Man? Would any of them actually be more-effective as Batmen than they are as villains?

Oh, Joker missing the bat makes so much sense, and I already felt so sorry for Mr Freeze losing the love of his life, Poison Bat (Who I personally think should be called Ivy Bat, it just sounds better to me.) originally only wanted Harley for herself just fits her character, and making the Riddler not really want to do good makes it so realistic. All in all, good job, Popcross! Here's hoping we get a part 2. :)
I'd like to see you do The Flash's Rogues as street level heroes in Marvel like the Defenders, but making them various speedsters would be amazing too. Would also like to see your take on a Spider-Flash

This was incredible. I've been a fan of your Superhero/Supervillain themed videos since they always have great designs as well as interesting stories to share, and I've always been a fan of Batman since I grew up loving The Dark Knight and The World's Greatest Detective...plus its Batman. So seeing you draw some Batman villains as Batman is incredible. I especially loved Mr Freeze’s and Poison Ivy's designs the most. Two face's gives off that duality fighter look to him that's ready to prove himself while at the same showing others that he's more than just a monster and can be a true protector...plus I love how it still maintains the instantly recognizable and iconic Two Face look and I think him having a version of the Bat suit where its is split down the middle a differently coloured is somehow aesthetically pleasing, Mr Freeze’s gives off a futuristic cryo warrior look that's willing to fight the good fight and shows just how much of a hero he can be...plus I love how he rocks the classic comic book look as well as looking great with all of those awesome ice powers and I could definitely see this as a suit that Batman would actually wear, Poison Ivy's design gives off that feel of a well armed fighter that's willing to show everyone what type of power she wields while showing her own unique heroic ways with the best drive possible...plus this design really shows both the Iconic Poison Ivy look from both comics and animation and unpredictable nature that shows just how she's considered a guardian of nature; and I can see her totally be added as a member of the Bat Family, The Riddler's design gives off that feel of a powerful warrior that while looking like someone unassuming can be a mighty force of nature and a master of showing that drive for being a hero...plus I don't know why, but for some reason this design for The Riddler just seems to work (plus black and green is pretty cool colour combination). This was an amazing video with an amazing topic...and I like it. I'd love to see you turn some more Batman villains/other heroes into versions of Batman since I think there is still so much more to tell. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing some of the more Heroes and villains as either kaijus, SCPs, different versions Superheroes or as mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these powerful beings and perhaps even work on a joint project and make a fantasy-mech armour hybrid. For other ideas for more Batman Villains/other heroes turned into Batman if you do a part three to this; I'd love to see you use Black Mask, Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, Bane, Scarecrow, Ras Al Ghul, Penguin and Catwoman since they would look awesome as versions of our favourite Dark Knight. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video.
P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. Also do you think you could do a video we’re you turn Disney princesses into witches. Also could you try something with Apex Legends?

The thing about the Two-Face one makes me think of monkey prints we're apart of his backstory is that Batman unintentionally traumatized him by attacking his parents in their home due to them being Hench people for hire

I’d love to see a part two of this episode. I’d really like to see you tackle how Bane would take on the cowl. I feel like it would be either similar to Kraven’s Last Hunt, or more like the Superior Spider-Man arc, where Doc Ock takes over Spider-Man’s mind. Not that Bane would take over his mind, but I feel like Bane seeing Batman die or something similar, would inspire him to become the ‘better bat’. Anyways great art and storytelling as usual! Keep up the good work!
Flash villains as the flash seems like a cool concept but id assume you’d need to use villains like Captain Cold, Heatwave, Golden Glider, Mirror Master, Trickster, and Grodd to make it work. As most Flash villains are already speedsters

Anime villains as the main character of their respective anime. IE: AFO and Shigaraki as All Might and Izuku respectively.

The Question Bat (whatever Edward's variant calls itself) sounds like something I could see as a straight DC Comics story arc roflmao (of course somehow Wayne/Batman would would come back eventually and Edward would probably start bouncing between hero and villain as the mood struck lol)

I’m back at it again with asking for some green lantern stuff. And maybe you could put some of your favorite DC villains and put them in certain Lantern Corps, maybe either something that fits the opposite of them or just one that goes with their character. Who knows? I think it would be really fun
Loved this video! Ivy kinda looks like Batgirl, which works for me since they were roommates in the 2004 cartoon. Fav story was Riddler just for how in-character it was, kinda reminds of the time he became a private eye just to one-up Bats legally. Would love round 2 of this (Ra’s al Ghul and Man-Bat, perhaps) and more ‘x superhero’s villains as said hero’ in general.
Hahhaah thanks! That Riddler story was my fav too. It took the least time to write, but felt like a fun, goofy pivot in tone :P
Also, if you do this with Superman villains, I’d suggest using Parasite with him fully draining Kal and seeing things the way he did ala Lex at the end of All-Star Superman.

I absolutely love this episode and the story and artwork is spectacular! (Both this and the supervillains as spiderman made for really intriguing and well made drawings). And if I may say, not only with the flash villains as the flash, but perhaps different superman villains who could become superman (such as doomsday in one of your previous videos)
I would love to see a part 2 of this video with other Batman villains. Like Bane, or Clayface, or Scarecrow, or Harley Quinn, Rai's or Talia Al Ghul, or Deathstroke, or Catwoman, or Deadshot, or Anarchy. There are so many different possibilities for designs and stories.

You know what I'd like to see? A whole series on what would happen if DC heroes were Villians. What would their alternative stories be? What type of powers would they have? Are they the same, or have a slight change? I know this topic has been milked to death, but I want to see what you would do with this concept. This could also lead to a story on what would happen if the Villians were Heroes and so forth.
Bat Ivy be like: I may not be the hero you wanted, I may not be the hero you need, but I am definitely *Fashionable*!
With Spider Man being my favorite Marvel hero and Batman being my favorite DC hero, I loved every minute of this. This was awesome. Please do SCPS as superheroes or villains p5, something with Scooby-Doo, and Fnaf as a zombie apocalypse p2. Please

-Motorcity characters as Tron programs, I consider Tron uprising and Motorcity sister shows that were spectacular and should come back with continuations.
-Disney XD character fusions, I believe characters from that network deserve some more recognition and it can be with any character from any franchise from where ever.
I definitely not a bat man fan, but this was a really good episode. It be cool to see a sequel, or marvel heroes as dc villians, dc villians as marvel heroes, marvel villains as dc heroes or dc heroes as marvel villians. Especially cause I want to see a popcross rivalry of some kind with spiderman and batman
I love this concept so much. I think Harvey's story is the most likely to happen. It seems to make the most sense. Harvey did have a good morel compass before he became two-face. And even after that there were times when his good side still won out the darker side. I did love the other stories too but Harvey's story stuck out the most to me.
