Man thats what ive been planning for over a year, just been holding off on it. glad you did it so i could some what copy your work. My plans were to tie it into the body mounts for strength though. great work and thank you for showing us your game plan.
All the design work credit goes to @rubberducky_TJ . I copied his homework. In part 2, you will get to see the sliders that tie into the frame and body mounts. The sheetmetal on their now is just a skin to seal the body back up! Check out Ryans instagram to see what they should look like when done!
@SamMatter absolutely! Enjoyed seeing the hard work pay off. My JL is going away for a makeover this winter. I wish I could help, but the brains are 17 hours away from me.
All the credit goes to Ryan Cranfill! So far im happy with them. Where the MotoBilt cage stanchion lands made the job a lot harder than it should have been. ( that's why there is a slight bow in the boat side) luckily that willl all be covered up by the Sliders.
Motobilt universal mirror mounts! Then you just need to grab a 4 or 6" single bolt mirror to install! They are intended to be mounted to the doors, butttt I wanted them sucked in a little more so I went to the cage
I'm a Toyota guy but this video was in my feed and I watched the whole thing. Very well done man! The footage, music, editing, pace.... super clean. Wanna trade subb's?

Good to see you’re making vids again. Looking forward to seeing it progress.
More to come! May have to make a filler video before Part2. Crazy how expensive DOM got!
Subscribed as soon as you cut the box open with a cut off wheel! Hell yeah

@@SamMatter WooHoo!!! Plan is to get my daughter out for the first time come spring.
Dang it Sam, Now I feel inclined to do boatsides 😉😉
I haven't experienced them off road, but word on the street is they are the cats pajamas!
I have the same orange ram on my bender. It leaked all of the oil out after the last time used it 😅
Yeahhh it was past due time for out replacement! she's cherry now!
Nice hoodie....my boy Sam at NNU Fab doing big things too!
He is my spirt animal!
great work as always bro!!! Keep Killing it
Thanks man, slowly but surely!
Lookin good!
Thanks Manny, excited to get out on the trails with ya!
I like the sides idea, I have rust In That area so that would fix it and be useful!
For sure! There are companys that sell nice 3/16 prebent boat sides that wouldn't require an outer slider either. Lots of options!
@@SamMatter 2k brun out!!!🔥🔥
It’s about time you have a video
Sorry for the Delay!
Damn man that looks real good. I might have to copy it! 😂. Great vid!

Good bro your a genius
Man I'm LOVING the wide meats u got on there! What wheels are those?
These are Motobilts DIY 17'' beadlocks. The steel wheel I used is a pro comp wheel!
@@SamMatter Dayum! That's crazy how good that turned out! I love it!
Awesome job! What axles are you running?
Hey thanks! Im excited for the second part where we build some sliders! Front is an 85 Ford Kingpin 60... rear is an 03 "shaved" GM 14bolt
What guage sheet metal did you use?
16 gauge!
What tube bender is that?
JD2 bender with a Swag Offroad air of hydraulic cylinder. I like the bender, easy to get comfortable with.
@@SamMatter do you know what model of bender? Are you happy with it? Is this the same bender you made your cage with?
@@mishkablah its the model 32! and yes, every tube on my jeep was bent with it.
