  • Host Felipe Hoffa is joined by Snowflake Product Manager Ellery Berk to discuss Snowflake Cortex recently announced at Snowday. We’ll walk through the capabilities Cortex has to offer and how the ML-based functions can give you insights into your data. We’ll also discuss forecasting & anomaly detection (coming to GA soon) and share a demo on how you can generate predictions on different models.

Hi there! The Forecasting and Anomaly detection functions are generally available (open to use for everyone). We also have a classification function in Private Preview and a function called Contribution Explorer in Public Preview.

How is the cost calculated for running the ML functions? Is it same as SF Compute cost based on Warehouse or there is a separate cost implications for using ML/AI features?

The cost of running ML functions is based on your warehouse usage - the same as other Snowflake compute! @@asifzbaig
