Hey my name is Carl, or Dozer the farmer.
Thank you for watching my content; just message me on RUclips and I’ll try my best to answer. I am here to show you the day to day running of a Kiwi (New Zealand) dairy farm.
We milk 260 cows at peak and run 2 beef blocks that support the farm with silage and letting the young calves graze up at the run offs. Grandad runs one and Dad live on the other.
I started RUclips on the 4th of April 2022 with the idea to show everyone what life and the day to day running of a farm in NZ is like with the hope that people get a better understanding of where milk comes from and one of the families that love doing it.

Yeah beefy prices good at the moment. We sold a line of R1 white face heifers at Tuakau last week 1k per head 👍
Awesome mate. We did really well as well at tuakau sale.
The 2 fresian steers got $1400.
There Hereford consisting of 26 steers and 11 heifers got an average $1200.
Great prices. All yearlings.

Tessa and Dad our sure getting the calves on their nipples and poor calves some our getting shots.
Didn’t care too much for that thick fog we got two days ago couldn’t see nothing.
We our finally getting rain the way the weather station said almost all this week but changes every time.
Milk count sure is up 6,131,000 wow . Calves love their meal.
You and your girlfriend have a wonderful time on your 4 day weekend. Hope you pass no problems on your inspection on Monday.

Hahaha hopefully mate. About time those beef prices came up they’ve been the same price for 10 years.
We noticed a couple have horns regrowing. Maybe missed as majority are polled but the vets can muck up and not feel the horns or not quite do them right and can grow back as well. But he is staying the bad one and will be getting done by a vet.

We have 260 cows at peak and 250 by the end of the season. With culls and deaths.

With feeding in the cowshed do you have problems with birds and there little white decorations
as someone with inshed most definitely a pain
