നീ വെള്ളത്തിൽകൂടി കടക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടി ഇരിക്കും
• Isa 43:2 But now, this is what the Lord says-he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
• There are 3 ‘ages’ in the Bible:
• Adam to Moses- ancient days
• Time of law- Moses to john Baptist
• His acceptable year - Jesus onwards until now
• This word of the Lord is to Israel-
• You are precious in My eyes. The way the Lord sees us is much greater than the way we see ourselves. David thought of himself as a shepherd boy. But God says in Luke 1:32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.
• We have preconceptions about ourselves, about others. David did sin, yes, but Ps 32 He was without deceit.
• Baracha - Amos 3:2 “You only have I chosen of “all the families of the earth”; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”
• The Lord first created wisdom, then the highest part of the world. Then He framed 3 million galaxies.
• Gen 46: 2 So Israel set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” he replied. “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. 4 I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.”
• This prophecy was first spoken to Abraham. I will make you a great nation. Then to Jacob, I will make you a great nation in Egypt. But as of yet, they were not a nation. They first appear in Egypt as a great nation.
• Deu 4: 20 But as for you, the Lord took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of his inheritance, as you now are. Usually, an iron furnace destroys what’s in it, but God raised a great nation from it. He is God of all creation; he can call into existence what is not as if it were.
• However great is our bondage, whatever it may be- our God can break it. He creates a big project in the midst of the fire. In with our weakness, in our lowest state, He can use us.
• Isa 43:1 He who “formed” you O Jacob. God is God who can change morphology. He took 400 years to shape and chisel out the bad from their lives and make them a true nation.
• God uses the evils, the negative incidents in our life to shape us to be more like Him. Do not complain, but thank God for the ways He frames us. At the end to be morphed, formed into the shape of Christ.
• Trials are a required part of our life. 1 Thess 3:3 So that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them
• Col 2:5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. God desires we are set up in order. There are 26 ‘orders’ in the Bible.
• Our worship should be disciplined. It is a sign that we have been transformed.
• Deu 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
• God not only raises but also lowers. If He lowers us, it is to shape our form.
• Also, He wants to see if we obey the commandment. He wants to test us to see what’s in our hearts. Israel still wanted to go back to Egypt, their food, their lifestyle. But God called them to a new discipline.
• Be filled with the Holy Spirit, and sing with instruments.
• Isa 43:2 When we walk through the “waters”... Not referring to Israel when they passed the Red Sea. But when Israel migrated from exiled nations, across other countries - to return back to Israel. So do not worry when we have to pass through many “waters,” I did not drown; my family did not drown because He is with us.
• My God is with me everywhere. Isa 28:1-3 See, the Lord has one who is powerful and strong. Like a hailstorm and a destructive wind, like a driving rain and a flooding downpour, he will throw it forcefully to the ground.
• When the Lord comes, we shall never drown no matter how great the opposition that comes against us.
