- The idiom 'bought the farm' is synonymous with DEATH - especially prematurely by crashing. However, it feels a lot like living to me! The title of Farmer does not seem to come with a lot of respect or lucrative financial gains, but to me - there is no higher calling. Being able to grow food, connect with nature, and live in a sustainable manner is of the utmost importance to me. Anyway, for this reason we decided to buy some land that we aim to turn into a functioning (and god willing - profitable) permaculture business. More Farmlife content to follow. My name is Mike and i have been living in and traveling the Philippines since 2017. I started my journey in Cebu and quickly adopted the channel name 'Endless Mike Cebu'. Endless Mike is an old nickname of mine, and since i never plan to stop exploring the Philippines - this seemed like a proper name for the channel. Thanks, we’re stoked! Yeah, as far as carrying cash - its not ideal. But ive never felt in any danger, and generally i think people are good and honest. However, im not naive enough to think some people would be opportunistic if given the chance. Buti na lang, ok lahat 🙌

@@EndlessMike_ no the purpose of owning a farmland should not be about becoming mayaman but rather the satisfaction of being able to do what you love and if you are passionate about growing crops, the wealth follows with it. like the saying goes "what you sow, ya shall reap the rewards".
Oh farmlands are great, lumaki ako sa farm at napaka ganda. kasi the air is fresh and you just feel free being there. tapos you can plant many things in it, its hard work but it has many rewards. 😃

congratulate, It is a nice lot but looks like the ground is very saturated with water, you should definitely build some Dranaige line on the Lot and around the House wich is little raised or on stilts.

That’s great Mike! I’m looking forward to seeing how you build up your home and design your farm. I traveled throughout Mindanao and saw some amazing farms and home, some not so amazing. We want to buy land in northern Mindanao somewhere outside of CDO so it’s logistical for air and sea travel. My other big concern is air quality, that’s my reason for not living in Makati again, even though the city is very modern and has everything.
Right on! Northern Mindanao is beautiful, check out Bukidnon. Beautiful views and cool mountain air, but close to CDO. There is a lot of opportunity in the farming and agriculture sector here. The ingenuity and knowledge of locals is amazing, but the worldwide phenomenon of ‘ageing farmers’ is concerning! Yes, its hard work any way you look at it, but young people just dont want to get into this business or lifestyle due to low returns and high capital investment. Anyway, i hope it’ll be a worthwhile venture, but most important is to enjoy the fruit of my labor and teach Luna a valuable life skill ✌️
Actually you can transact inside your bank..but it really depends who are you dealing with or buying from (maybe an old timer)..✌️
Ah ok, thank you for that info. Naisip ko kaya magbayad ko sa bank, pero ok lang yan. Luckily no problems, but good to know for future purchases. You know how it goes here in Pinas though - cash is king 😜
