"Do you guys draw this game?"... oh sweet summer child Flats. In low elo OW, cheaters and smurfs are boosted and resource prioritized if exposed.
It happened in a high gold game for me not too long ago. Both dps. They didn't care cause it was free elo :(
Can confirm. Story time:
Had a guy (in Plat) accused of cheating. Aim looked natural from outside view but guy got 5 headshots back to back (POTG showed him spinbotting but character model was moving normal so probably toggled). I was on tank and went Rein (I auck at Rein but team kept saying go Rein and shield our Cree or we'll report you). I did not shield Cree but instead inted so hard that the enemy had 6 ults every fight all cuz my team mass pocketed a cheater instead of drawing. I'm talking Sig, Bap, Ana, and the other dps guarded him with their life. We still won but I tried to throw it hard.
Edit: Also once had a Zarya that flamed me all match for one bad play. Nobody said anything so didnt know until POTG showed it. Dude was walling. Next match we're opposite teams. Dude spams constant death threats and shit and tries to spawn camp me with walls but I kicked his ass as Lucio. Next game, vsing him on Route 66. Dude turns on aimbot and continues to shit talk and aimbot spawn camping me. I call it out again and the 5 randoms said I was coping. After the match I get invited to a group and they say they watched the replay fully intending to laugh at me, straight up inviting me to mock me at first but then saw the aimbot and were like, "damn. You were right".
Tldr: Anything below masters will not believe they're cheating but half the time they watch the replay intent on laughing at you but find out you're right.
Bro and people wonder why overwatch is dead, I 1v6 whole teams with sym and get stuck down here because you can't do literally anything when a Smurf or cheater is literally pocketed by the entire team...

Cheaters are already complete scum, but cheaters in bronze are even worse scum. At that rank the poor enemy team just doesn't have the skill/coordination to fight back, and the cheaters know it. Shitting on low-rank players with cheats because they can't fight back is awful behavior; you're just ruining someone else's fun for your own ego. Good lord I can't stand cheaters

It happens, rarely. I had a nearly full group of friends in Bronze and we all put our singular collective Bronze braincell to drawing cuz of one dude cheating on the team lmao

I'm 2800-2900, and drawing the game seems impossible. Always some people in both teams who keep playing normally as if half the lobby isn't idle lol

I've called out a few people for cheating in bronze but because their team want to win so bad they don't care. There is literally no point in reporting cheating in low ranks.
Yeah most likely because after they hit plat, no cheats will help them anyways.
Bronze players tend to have 33% win rate. They celebrate having a cheater

One of people i watch covering other game that has actual great anti cheat system had interview with guy who cheats and make cheats. The things they can do. Stuff like that only slightly slow them down. Also you'd be surprised how young these people who make cheats or use them are. Some of them are in primary school. The rise of new even worse generation of people. Only thing that can stop a cheater is their or their parents wallet. Cheats are timed and hella expensive. On top of that lots of people who sell cheats scam players who use them.

Being F2P it’s already gonna cut down on smurfs with having to unlock heroes through the bp and challenges after the season. I’m guessing it’s also gonna dissuade some cheaters too.

The confirming a phone number is supposed to help. Limits people to one account, so if you get banned for cheating once you can only confirm so many accounts.
Man, seeing a Mercy beam on a cheater always hurts so bad. Thankfully, it's a real bronze Mercy so they basically stayed on heal beam, but still. I know that mechanical skill isn't everything, but if your teammate in ~700 SR is hitting shots like this and dominating the kill feed, something is fishy.

Sadly u cant see if a person cheats on ur team unless u die and spectate them. Which rarely happens (to me at least) when u play Mercy and pocket a cheater so u just gotta live with a dirty feeling of pocketing that person and report when u check replay... Im diamond/master support and whenever we get a cheater in our team i get mad at myself for helping the cheater. Luckily we draw some games, but some ppl still dont wanna do that and doesnt care cause all they wanna do is climb the racket. (this goes both ways)
I mean she's bronze so probably a little unaware of what's going on. It's actually scummy in higher elo's when they rally behind the cheater.

@@laffetum3050 True. As soon as someone says anyone in my team is cheating i stop pocketing that person and if the enemy team "give up" i die on purpose so i can spectate the person. Ppl in higher elo usually doesn't rage hack like this, so sometimes its kinda hard to see unless u watch the replay. No matter what i always report cheaters! They ruin the game!
However when someone rage hack and the team lose (if ppl dont wanna draw) its funny and sad at the same time. Cause if someone cheats then the other team who doesn't have a cheater deserves to win imo. And then ez report and avoid 😉 I just wish u could avoid someone for life (i dont wanna play with cheaters) and not just for 7days...

Yeah, lower ranks don't draw for cheating. No one believes them, and everyone wants SR so bad, they just feel lucky that they are winning and the cheater is on their team. Every one has such bad experiences with smurfing and the like, they just feel "finally, it broke our way"
I don't blame them one bit lol. Overwatch was my first shooter, started at mid season 2 and finished 650 :(. But now I'm mid diamond on all roles. Those bronze days were tough, people were very angry on mic. I like diamond, I don't want to be masters, I heard in masters and GM that everybody throws.

@@listerfeend2004 last few seasons have had a lot more "throwers" mainly cuz no one really cares about their sr at this point and are just playing to troll until ow2.
A lot of GM players also don't care about throwers cuz of graveyard season

In upper ranks, i feel like cheaters just have better hacks but never get better so everyone just outplays them pretty often
Same hacks, just teams have more skills, or brain to draw.
In high ranks people use subtle cheats to give themselves a slight advantage. Any cheating in high ranks isn’t going to be obvious, you’ve probably played against cheaters without even realizing it.
Yah it's pretty easy to grab a buddy or some random in comms and focus the cheater. My wife and best friend did it a few days ago in a console top 500 match. It was keyboard mouse on an Xbox server enemy Widow of course. Yes KBM is cheating on console because KBM is not natively supported by the game. You have to hack the console which is real and yes you can hack on console. One of my Series Ss is unlocked to run RetroArch and PS1 ROMS.
@@LeDoomfistJames You don't have to hack the console unfortunately. There are devices and software that allow people to use keyboard and mouse that tell the console a connected controller is the input source. I left console OW because of that and free smurf accounts. It made the grind not worthwhile.
If he hacked any harder it might fix his positioning for him.

Ok so I don't have this confirmed, but it's a hypothesis of mine regarding cheaters in low elos:
Many of them may simply be account boosters. Just think about it, they duo or trio with someone who've been trapped in Bronze or Silver forever and feel like they deserve to get out but they can't, so they hire an account booster who is also dogshit but has burner accounts with cheap cheats that they throw to bronze and then they just rage cheat to boost people out of the rank for a cheap dime. If they can boost 2 people at once its double price, and it takes far longer to get report banned in bronze than in higher elo where people know what to look for and also have the desire to look and report.
At least this is my suspicion as I've also seen how they tend to be in a duo and if it's with a support it's a constant pocket etc like its so clear that whoever is queued with them know they're cheating but don't care - and usually its only the cheater themselves who take the risk and not the account getting boosted by the cheater.
That said, this cheater might be so bad that even if they are boosting, it might not be very profitable if they can't get out of bronze themselves lol
Im not experienced with cheaters, but I feel like people from higher ranks on smurf accounts do this (atleast on consol where reports and bans arent as useful).
I’ve seen players who are cleary not from said rank, but are boosting a group of players (usually just one or two), to get them to a higher rank. The most agregous example I can name is a lvl 25 widow that had MnK in mid to low plat, just mowing every one down every fight. Nothing could be done and we lost. And thats why I hate smurfs as a whole with the passion of a burning sun. They’ve ruined so many of my comp games over the years that I just dont care if they got perma banned on all accounts.
@@tatuvarvemaa5314 I had a level 25 Soldier in one of my bronze DPS games who was clearly duo'd with a Mercy, couldn't do anything about it as we were getting spawn held by the pair alone since our tanks kept staggering and WOULDN'T LOOK RIGHT. The only time we killed them and made progress was when I pulled off a flank ult.
Granted that was also my last DPS game as I had to deal with the supports putting pretty much all the blame on me for not being able to kill the Soldier or Mercy when I was getting mowed down in 2-3 seconds every time I left spawn doors, so yeah.
@@tatuvarvemaa5314 I've had this problem too. I was in gold and there was someone on the enemy team won widow that was clipping us left and right and they were around level 25-30. Their name was literally something like "widowsmurf" and they had a partner on genji who had a similar name smh. It's annoying to deal with, especially on support when you're trying to keep your dps and tanks alive
In theory, boosters dont use cheats as far as i know and def wouldnt need to since boosters are usually gm players who obv would shit on bronze players
@@tdr_4620 Not always. I’ve deffinately heard of cheaters boosting players, its just as effective as getting a gm.
A cheater from bronze to gold should be able to just over power their way through to atleast plat and if they have a permanent pocket mercy, they’ll deffinately get diamond.

To answer your question on how does no one on their team realize that there's a cheater, its either because they don't care and just want the win. Or its because its bronze and bronze players don't have the awareness to know what their teammates are doing, they only focus on what ever is in front of them (which is usually just the enemy team).

Everyone who is sitting there saying "reporting doesn't matter" I disagree, I'm a bronze player and I've successfully reported more than one cheater. Got the TY from OW and moved on. Calling people out can help with other's reporting and you may not win the game and other's might not care. However, saying it's NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. I just have to disagree with.

Also most low elo's won't care there is a cheater on thier side if it gets them a win.

Unlike TF2 and COD, Overwatch has abilities that can't be used by aimbot and sheild abilities that make cheaters require any amount of positioning skill which they don't have
This just reminded me of the last ranked overwatch game I played. There were 4 top 500 players in the game the enemey had 3 of them and 2 cheaters. The cheaters were on soldier and bap and they were not hiding it whatsoever. It was disgusting. I didn't notice for a while until I saw my team just start to afk. Similar to my high rank expirence in league it just ruined the competativness of the game for me.
Still play overwatch (duh I'm here watching this) maybe I'll do comp in 2 but probably not.
Also going against a cheating bap is the worst thing I've ever experienced lmao.
To clarify not only were there cheaters but the teams were horrifically balanced. Would have been fine if I was on dps but I was playing my support games. Also the cheats were more blatant than this video, their crosshair would not leave the heads of people until they were dead

A good way to tell a cheater is by their mouse sway. That's the biggest tell, they all have the same mouse movement when aiming. Also decision making, but mostly the way they control their mouse/camera.
I had a cheater playing Orisa on my team and none of us believed the other team because who tf who cheat with Orisa but she was hard locking and we won... feels bad

walling is a huge advantage. I played with the best hanzo I have ever seen in sonic arrow placement, it legitimately felt like hacking.

Most games in bronze will have either smurfs or people afk or throwing anyway, I don’t really see the difference between that and cheaters. They’re all ruining games and making it impossible for genuine players to have fun. Reporting does nothing and at this point it doesn’t really matter anyway. I hope they fix it for OW2 as I can’t see many new players sticking around if it’s the same sh*t show we have now. FYI the Mercy probably never looked at the kill feed, players on the cheaters team likely didn’t even notice, and the ball on the other side is a smurf too. 15 min queue for that? I’m surprised there’s any players left at all.

No joke my first ever ranked game on Overwatch had a widow cheating on the enemy team, we were on Kings Row on defense I believe. Wasn't even trying to hide it whatsoever, straight up headshot our entire team one by one and not missing anything lmao. Everyone obviously immediately noticed, and the enemy team agreed to draw, hella cool the enemy team actually understood how shitty it was
Hey flats I know this is a insignificant comment, but where can I upload clips? I had a game with junkrat (I wasn't very good) and the enemy Cassidy was being very suspicious I don't know if it was pure coincidence or if he was using some wall hacks it was too inconsistent. Needs expert opinion.
Person probably lost a lot of games that session and went "F" it.
No voice comms in low elo by default. The ball was a smurf, on the other the obvious cheater. This makes it crap to be on either team, so you just write it off and report, if you win its not even fun. Pressing tab is never done and no one looks at the killfeed so it often goes unnoticed. We had a mcree doing the same thing (silver on that account, first time i'd seen it) on the replay he was walking off and right clicking thin air to keep the critical hit ratio down (we assume). Last season in OW so , seems from my games anyone down here has given up entirely on getting anywhere and having every other game spoiled by something.

You don't need aim to be good at OW, you can rank up just from gamesense if you're willing to play support/tank
other than masters, GM, and Top 500 you dont really see a draw for a cheater and even then its not always a guarantee
Wish I could show you the replay of a game I had, had a enemy widow cheating on anubis, killed 5 straight out of spawn all hs, I went widow and rolled them for rest of the game. Shame it was only qp
