We have a CLICK PLC (not pls) that we have to connect with an ethernet cord. What is the process to upgrade to CLICK PLC Plus? We are afraid to take it out because we need our machine to work. Also, are there alternatives or add-ons that could make the non-plus model work with bluetooth/wifi? Thanks for taking the time to read this!
@kennethkline7702 Unfortunately there is no way to upgrade to a Click Plus without taking the machine down for a little while for the transition and testing. Unfortunately, there is also not a module that will allow an upgrade to Bluetooth/Wifi for the Click standard C0 part numbers. When I have done machine upgrades in the past, I have done all of the programming and transition work possible offline on a test bench with the new PLC, and then simply removed the old PLC, and plugged in the other. That way if I have to go back to the first PLC it is fairly straightforward. If you are careful not to place yourself in a situation where you can't undo what you have done within a shift, changing out a PLC can be a relatively straightforward process with minimal downtime. Make sure and record any presets or data that would be lost on a power cycle as well so you can enter them into the new program. Good luck, and I hope this helped.
I would use Click PLCs a lot more if the programming would be as easy as Productivity PLCs are. I would really like to see tagname based programming in Click PLCs.
Tried it and it failed several times. Tried Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook. Looks like my username and password are not being accepted for any of the three accounts.

I was excited to see this in the release notes of the new software release. Immediately tested it. Works great. Thank you.
Great to hear! Thanks! Make sure to check out more of our videos at www.automationdirect.com/videos/home
great video but doesn't say what is used to trigger the edge bit automatically
The video uses a manually triggered bit. You would need to create automatic logic that makes sense for your application.

Thank you for the comment. Will pass your comment forward.
What about receive?
The CLICK PLUS can send emails. It cannot receive.

Thanks Justin. We are always glad to see the features being well received. ;)
