it really is a massive underdog. The 5.7L is perfect to modify & build up.

He really does. Probably has the coolest car collection - all of the make amazing power. Work hard & you get to play hard! Jannetty has done a solid job on his builds.
I feel so fortunate to have Jannetty only 35 minutes away. Just the luck of the draw I guess.
This weekend I will be putting my first cosmetic mods on my 2019 5.7. Wicker bill , rear diffuser and some other small stuff. This is exactly the kinda power I want my 5.7 to have some day. Thanks R/T life and modern red hemi for putting out all the great content.

@@RTLife I will for sure. Also trying to decide between the borla atak or a staggered wheel set up. I still have the stock 245/40/R20. Should I move to a 275/40/20 front and 305/35/20 rear or the exhaust first? Wanna run all Mickey Thompson.

The 5.7 has become a forgotten platform since now the scat pack 6.4 is the preferred engine. The 5.7 is a sleeper pick and can make tons pf power with a cheaper price of admission. The 6.1 srt motors are another forgotten sleeper.
You're on point with that. The 6.1 is def slept on - they make some really nice power with just bolt-ons.

The 5.7 has that ideal efficiency because of its size. They are easier to rev, easier to make rev higher, lighter (sometimes), have the torque a smaller displacement v8 doesnt have and again easy to be efficient on fuel. Obviously stroking or boring is going to change all that but even so they started like this. I wouldnt be surprised if you could build a 550 or even a 600 hp NA 5.7 hemi. Theres an old 340 mopar that this guy built and was making around 600 hp NA. And thats an old motor, it was stroked but either way it was quick. Not ideal for the street though compared to a new hemi

I've got a hp103 going in my 5.7 this week. Can't afford a supercharger like this, but even just with a cammed racing engine im looking forward to driving her once she's done. With no boost im likely looking at around 400-410 once its installed and tuned.

Now that someone has built their own camless system and is making it open source i think boosted small V8's will be seeing some awesome changes in the next few years.

Just got my R/T last week it’s a 2019 and I absolutely love it I’ve done cosmetic things to it for the most part I’m just still trying to figure out what set up I wanna do before I do anything to the engine

the car scene has changed so much over the last 20 years,social media plays a huge part in that,there are so many people who become internet experts on every topic known to man,cars are no different,Ford guys ,mopar guys,not sure if there are still Chevy guys lol..seems like everyone has shit to talk and 99.% of the guys talking it can’t back it up,I also see a lot of people who let other tell them what they should like or what they should or shouldn’t do to they’re own cars,one of the main ones I see is people telling guys with R/Ts to get a scat pack,for the life of me I can’t understand why??my 1st car was a stock 68 mustang coupe I bought in 1991 ,by the time I graduated high school it was running high 12s on motor to me back then it was a rocket lol.I’ve had 4 mustangs since,to me there is no better looking car then a challenger,new or old that’s just me.I also love the chargers,I have an 09 R/T and I just bought a 2012 challenger R/T,I love them,mustangs just don’t have that muscle car look or feel to me anymore but to each they’re own,I’m content with what I want..if I want a hell cat I’ll go buy a hellcat,if I wanted a mustang I’d buy one,I do want a Demon so in the mean time I am more than happy with my R/Ts,the charger is up for sale,once that’s sold I’ll do some cool stuff to the challenger ,

That's impressive to get that kind of power out of the 5.7. I'm actually thinking of using my 2013 police interceptor for Uber lmao! The hemi gets surprisingly good gas mileage on regular. I've been using a 2012 genesis 5.0 for Uber but it's a gas guzzler and basically has 392 performance. Way overboard for rideshare 😂🤣
Maybe I'll buy a newer interceptor, like a 2015+ model with an 8 speed and AWD and then do a build!! How much would it cost, ballpark, to get 500 to the wheels with the 6-8lbs of boost? That's solid.

A used mid 2000's r/t will run you around the same price as a 5th gen ss and a brand new one will run you around the same as a gt or ss. I think if the cars these motors came in were in a more appropriate price bracket they'd get more love

I have a 2003 dodge ram 2500 hemi....and can this be done to it as a pickup? It is a really cool looking ride for a 2500 4x4. And want this kind of fun
I have a 2014 Challenger RT. All I want to do is keep the damn thing running. With all the problems we are having with the cam and the lifters I keep my engine running above 2000 RPM even in town trying to keep my cam lubricated since there is no pressurized lubrication we are subjected to just splashing oil on our cams.

Anyway that’s for the post I have a ram 2500 5.7 hemi and I want to cam it
For now I have installed the edge pulsar tuning with the CTc 3 or something like that monitor is the one you plug on the front of the original port, let me tell you it did open up the truck and a cold air also, I did what you mentioned after watching the video you pos and yesterday I purchase sort tune headers. Currently the truck is at the shop getting re- gears because I’m running 37” tires on a 6” lift

FYI a challenger with a 6 M dodge will let you option a 3.90 gear all 8 A are 3.07 s

Sure. Will take a lot of $$$ though. Around 550+whp is where it starts to get super expensive to modify the 3.6L

The 6.1 is a great starting point for power. The question is what power level are you looking for?

The engine will be good esp for only 10lbs of boost - transmission/driveshaft etc. we will see
I have a 07 dodge charger, RT that I wanted to build, who would you recommend? I would appreciate if you can give me some feedback.
But the 5.7 is weaker hence why it had to have bult internals. The Mustang 5.0 can hit 875 wheel hp/1000 crank up from 450 crank stock, on all stock engine although oi pump upgrade is recommended for higher than 7200 rpm redlines and over 725 crank hp.
What would you recommend for me to help my performance on my 1998 Chevy Silverado C1500 5.7 v8 all i done to it was put a cold air intake in it

Since your around this stuff , you have some knowledge I would like to get from you. Is it possible to get a basic understanding list for hellcat supercharger on 5.7 rebel parts needed besides the adapter plate?
the Edelbrock is nice but at 10k you could save 4k and go buy a 6.4l and install it yourself.
I hope he has a different tire set up when he drives it. Those stock 245s will get 0 traction under power

Spend 9k on 5.0 392 or SS and make that power
What are the dangers of the boost and these modifications?
Breaking transmission, driveshaft etc. guess it depends on how hard you drive it

I'm referring more so at this power level. Right now I'm personally at 450whp which is a big jump from 330-340whp stock & everything is just fine. 640whp & similar in torque is a lot of pressure to put on stock parts.

I’m looking to do whipple for my car my tuner told me that 2020 rt transmission can’t hold more than 500 anyone heard/seen different on a daily driver rt with over 500 hp?
Still doesn't fix the oil starvation problem all hemis have...

check out some MMX or Comp cams - they have a solid bang for the buck. You will need hellcat lifters, pushrods & a couple of other items. Yes def upgrade to the 3.09 limited slip - very nice uprade.
