not enough time to look at the miles time ,money and area by the time you read that someone already took it or if is there means probably no worth it of all
Uber puts us in very dangerous situations by giving us 15 seconds to stare at the app while we are driving to decide if we want to take the trip or not. Being that we only have 15 seconds, in order to make sure we're not accepting a bad ride, we have to dedicate most of those 15 seconds to staring at our phone when we should be looking at the road. Uber should fix this before they get someone hurt. Maybe have the app read us the details of the trip like distance location etc.
I This was a very good video. I learned somethings about the app that I didn’t know. You were a little off with the no-show aspect though. After 2 minutes you can cancel without a cancellation fee. After the additional 5 minutes you can cancel and receive a cancellation fee.
So, your first mistake was selecting the GO button. $5 for a 12 minute ride is crazy. Any cab would get 16 for that ride. Uber doesn't see drivers as the customers we are. We utilize their platform, that's it. They provide us no assistance if we get into an accident driving their clients. No assistance if we are attacked by their client. No assistance if we are unable to maintain minimum wage after expenses. The driver supplies the workspace and there is no financial assistance/consideration for that.
@@prestonphillips3375 I have many jobs, Uber is not a job it is a rideshare platform for businesses to utilize which pays like a minimum wage job. My attempt here is to galvanize and unite rideshare drivers to ask for more from these platforms instead of a rate card. We who carry all the risk and do all the work are entitled to a greater share of the revenue, as we have more at stake. I say an 80-20 split from initial received customer funds is fair. They receive the 20% as a finders fee for the job requested.
I seeing a lot of comments about issues with new trips. Use the stop new request button to stop Uber from popping new trips up while trying to finish your current trip.
Ok, so I'm new to this. When I get an offer, the only information I get is the distance to the rider. I don't see the destination or the total pay. What gives?
Ok, so I have an update. I Uber in Kalamazoo, MI. I like doing long-distance trips. I've gone to Holland, MI (1 hr away) and Muskegon, MI (2 hours away). After dropping off my rider, I would get new offers. However, in those cities, I was given all the info we see as shown in these RUclips videos. But those two cities I mentioned are smaller than Kalamazoo. I don't know what it is, but some markets give you all the information, and some don't.
Thanks for the information. I'm a new driver getting ready to take my first trip. I have 2 cars registered to my driver account. Do you know how I can distinguish which car I'm using and what the passenger should look for?
Hmm. You are teaching the new drivers supersaturatung the markets the basics of the uber driver app. Are you going to show them how to tie their shoes as well?
@Anaxagoran The rideshare companies only limit the number of drivers in markets where the law requires it. New York City is one of them. In most other markets there is no cap.
Newbie here, is it OK to accept a ride while you have not dropped off the one that’s in your car yet and even if it is is it a wise thing to do thanks a bunch
I have Uber as well I do UberX for some reason I don't get the same menu you have when someone request a ride I only get to see how many miles they are away from me but it doesn't tell me where they're going how did you get the full detail menu that I saw in this video of where to pick them up and where are they going before you accept a ride because if not I have to keep texting them to find out where they're going
I have the same issue as well. The app only shows me how many minutes away the passenger is and how many miles away. Does not show how much the fare is and the final destination is. According to Uber Support, I "have to unlock the rewards and get to Gold Status" to see the complete trip details. Anyone else?
Im not using uber anymore, the unknown destination killed me. Im on Long Island and the passenger destination was Newark Airport in New Jersey. It took an hr and half in traffic. Also i could not pick up a return because im not allowed to pick ip there. 3 hrs today for $30.
Ypu have to be an Uber Gold member or better to see all that information if your new to Uber you won't get it they will give you a 30 day trial then after that your stuck unless you keep an 85% Acceptance rate and less than 8% cancelation rate it's crap
ATTENTION!!! 2 THINGS!!! at min 0:23 ish 1st, See the total time, divide the number by 2. If it's less than the amount you get paid, it's considered OK. (6 min + 3 min = 9 min, divide by 2 is 4.5, and you get 5 USD), it's an OK ride. Not the best, but still OK. However!!! see 2nd below. 2nd, Double check with total mileage to pickup and deliver to final destination. If the number of your total mileage is less than the amount you get paid. It's considered as OK 3.1 mile + 0.8 mile = 4 miles. At 5 dollars revenue, that's more than 1 dollars per mile. It's an OK ride. If you drive higher and car, at the ratio 1.5 per mile is OK when business is super slow, but the more the better.
Thank you for the benchmark calculation. It is really helpful. Should the returning trip for the driver be counted in the calculation too? Should it be 6 min + 3 min + 6 min?
@@mincao8003 Returning trip? That will be complicated. I just try to be as simple as I can, it's more easy to promote this to the Uber drivers. But one thing i will not do is multiple stops. Because the total time calculations will be misleading.
Anything that is affiliated with Uber or Lyft, no thank you, I have said it before and I will say it again, it's a waste of time and money working for the two biggest thieves, they will bleed you on your money. They expect you to be slaves to them. I am in Chicago and when I ask the drivers what there making, it's usually way below bare minimum. The two companies have a majority of drivers that are desperate. So sad, working for scraps.

Thank you soo much. Helped me as I couldn't access onboarding videos. Take care yourself out there.
I want to find out if comfort ride has a preference button like uberxl or uberx?
If so why isn't it showing up on my preferences?

Yup I had it pop on a busy highway the other day while merging it was awesome lol
I use maxymo to auto accept or decline. It helps me drive safer.
@@michaelbibby01 they do that to force us into taking rides.
Exactly, then have users giving us ratings about distracted by phone which is ridiculous because the app runs by a phone 😂

You have to be a Uber Gold member for that service and for that you need to have an 85% acceptance rate and less than 8% Cancelation
Mine isn’t giving a pay price
Just how far they are away and what their rating is
Hmm. You are teaching the new drivers supersaturatung the markets the basics of the uber driver app. Are you going to show them how to tie their shoes as well?
Uber controls the amount of drivers able to drive in a given region. That's why a lot of people trying to sign up end up on a waitlist.

What application are you using to record the screen on your phone?
Do you get paid if the rider no-shows after the 7 minutes?
Bit confused on the trip radar. Is that something that pops up automatically or is it somewhere in the app?
hi I'm a beginner please can you tell me when I have delivered my order how can I go back to the pick up location via uber eats app? Thanks

3 miles to pick up is insane.. no way. I draw the line at 1.5 miles to pick up IF the trip is worth it.
I can’t see all that information when the ride request comes in.
So, I’m going in blind to how much I’m going to make. How can I fix this on the app?

9 minute ride plus 5 minutes waiting for the passenger.
