First problem to address is the way the front door steps actually extend out past the garage door. Easy fix. Move the laundry room to run parallel to the cars and push the garage out at least 6 feet. Then the washer/dryer can be on an outside wall and allow the dryer to vent to the outside. This minimizes effort to keep the vent clean and reduce fire hazards. The laundry room would be larger and the small bedroom next to the garage could gain a foot of extra space. The hallway to the garage and laundry would be (for my lifestyle) extra storage....pantry, broom closet, etc. I would divide the space in the master bath and closet in half. Bathroom (large walkin shower only) on outside wall and large walkin closet next to living room. Reduces unwanted noise from bathroom to living room. Hall bath is a bit small but you could put the closet in back bedroom on outside wall (since windows are facing the back) and take that extra foot or so into the bath.

I really like this house. The only thing I’d like to see is a bigger kitchen and eating space. There’s not enough counter space for baking at all. After all most kitchens are the heart of the home. Everyone gathers there even when you have guests over. I like having dinner parties too.

Could a gate be added to the back courtyard for easier access to yard. Drains in tubs and showers could be useful, too. Instead of the guitar displayed in the kitchen are, a small broom closet would be nice.
Hey brendasavini7786 , The Broom Closet instead of the guitar is a good idea, thanks for the tips. The backyard has a door through the living area, if you talking about the backyard directly connected to the exterior through a gate then it could be a great idea.
I wouldn’t build a home with a laundry room dryer vented to the roof or self venting. No formal dining area either. The wall between the living room and family room would come down to make the front room a connect for a larger living room and family dining. No thanks.

Both baths need a linen closet too.

@@ArchCBlueprints I was referencing direct access to the yard. What types of storage is there for the patio furniture/cushions, etc in bad weather?
