Appreciate the tutorial. For me, the studs on the new approved fitment third light were smaller than the bolts from old light unit with it's attached studs. So, I unscrewed the larger studs from older third light and replace the small ones on the newer light. That worked. BUT - then the wire harness plug was off just a taddy - but got pins alined and it fit. Other than that - and cleaning all my parts - it works like a charm. I replaced all lights with LED in the past year - the only thing left are lights for the license plate.
@@lonnymal2735 it’s a great flashlight, I did miss place it for about 8 months but it resurfaced in a shed in the back yard, charged it up and it was back in action!
Have you tried the switch above the license plate? See if it’s not just a bad remote. Check fuses, verify rear wiper is in the “park” position. If it computer senses the wiper is not parked it won’t unlock the window.
Not bad , 3rd brake light was quite a bit to to do but overall not bad , hope you actually build and show off that buggy or you going to sell/trade it beforehand lol…
@@UncleMike1776 I did it leaving interior trim, washer line, and electrical on 2018 suburban today(May 18th 2024). Just had the small electrical plug to undo. Your tutorial helped, it just seemed easier to me since separating those pieces anyway to leave under part on vehicle. Thank you for the help!
$816.00 is what the GMC dealership just quoted me. I'll be doing this myself thanks to your video
It’s fairly easy I wouldn’t pay those dealership prices!
These days car dealers simply blow!!!
Best instructions
Saved me 250 $ at the dealership
@@KamilHanna-e6w good deal.

Thanks mike what manufacturer did you purchase a third brake light from
It was from Amazon and it was one of the lights that looks like a tube light, can’t find it on my history.
My rear glass won't open on my 2016. Thoughts on where to start?

It cause for .8hours... really😂
I just fixed my 3rd break light using this video. It still won’t light up. Any idea where the fuse would be located?
@@terryjacobs1942 no, check out a wiring schematic I’m sure you could find it!
Thanks mike!
Thanks for watching! Hope it helps!
Couldn't you have just separated it on the vehicle ( 3:07 ) and saved removing inner trim altogether?
Not that I’ve seen

Have a link to that light?

There is no way you just reached your there and PULLED the spoiler off! There are clips under the four screw post that are the pain to break loose. !!
Just removed the hardware and it came off pretty easy.
This is a lot of work to replace a third brake light. Im sure this is all because GM didn't want the screws visible for aesthetics.
Definitely a lot of unnecessary nonsense
😆 I say the same thing. Too much work !! I ll wait till I'm ready for the headache. 😆 thanks for the video😊
GM doesnt look the same
Just find one you like and try it out they are fairly inexpensive.
