Saw a dragon, but it wasn't over the lake. It came down, snatched a cow and flew off.

As for me, it always flew across the lake while taking a drink. Never saw it snatching a cow before

I saw a Hippogriff carrying a fish over the Hogwarts Lake. Too bad the unmodded game has flying height limit, I couldn’t keep following it.

When the squid pipped out of the lake I hit it with a few spells. Then I got that alert when you enter combat. I actually thought I was about to fight the squid. Then a dugbog charged at me

*giant fuckin squid pops out the water and a fire breathing dragon flies past you*
"....... that's enough nature for the rest of the year"
Now I wonder if it's even rarer for the dragon to fly over the lake and the squid pops up and snipes the dragon pulling it into the depths...
I like all the little details with the students using their magic, like floating and walking on the walls.
Yeah it really helps to make Hogwarts feel alive!
In the night, I saw 2 ghosts dancing together on the lake
And then there is the ball in the ghosts room in the cellars.

@@-flowerbloom9305 I've played through for every house and each house gets a few special things that you only see for that house.. and the different missions to help you find the missing pages.

A herd of centaurs galloping through the forbidden Forrest.
You can fight with them too! Dark Wizards don’t stand a chance.
Have seen lots of centaurs. Usually alone

Not as rare of a chance but....there is a pair of sets of Armour in Hogwarts in a hallway somewhere. You'll pass them a couple times and one will whistle while the other acts annoyed and nudges him to stop whistling.
Eventually you'll pass by them and there's a chance you will see the annoyed one finally snap and murder the other Armour set for whistling too much.

I seen that too. Happened around the 4th or 5th time I walked passed them. Hasn’t happened a second time though and I would say I ran past them at least 20 times as I didn’t bother to use fast travel around Hogwarts just in case I came across another collectible.
There is tons of events in hogwarts like parents shouting with howlers
or some students bullying another and prof black talking to them etc

Oh, lol, I just walked straight past those two all the time, and was wondering why one time I walked in to find a destroyed armour set on the floor.
Perhaps not that rare, but I saw a howler scolding a student at Hogwarts 🙂
Is it the one howler with mum telling off their child about talking to muggle born students lol

Has anyone seen the student in Hogsmead chasing a Diricawl and then getting chewed out by his dad? I saw that after I just caught a Diricawl myself and I laughed for like 5 minutes x,D

I was flying somewhere south of Lower Hogsmeade Valley when on the mountains I found a caravan with a dead woman and a note talking about her getting Dragon Pox and was getting away from people to not infect them and also trying to create a cure.

I found it but it was a man.
It’s not really a tiny chance for me. Maybe mines different. Almost every time I fly over the lake he pops out. Plus he comes out during the opening missions as well.

@@toimun even the opening mission for the broom? There’s a voice line for that part too. He comes out of the water and reaches up towards you.

Over 70hrs and I've only seen the squid during the Broome mission.. seen the dragon dip in the lake for water and seen a hippogryph catch a fish..
@@austin18 it really does differ a lot. I fly over the lake every now and then just to do it. I’ve seen the squid maybe 4 times.
Every now and then, Hippogriffs will fly down to catch fish from the lake or streams and then fly away. I’ve seen Thestrals fly overhead at night time too

One I noticed is if you walk past the floor flame duding the restricted section quest in the library, she said “I shall pretend I cannot see you” or smth like that. To my knowledge it only works during that quest.
I found a snowman that does the “come at me bro” movement. So when I went up to him and hit him with basic attacks, he would throw a snowball at me. I ended up burning it to the ground. Idk if it’s a rare event but it was funny
You can also turn animals into objects with the transformation spell ;)
Imagine going to hogwarts and u just see a fully armoured knight flying next to u 😂

Just finished a quest with Natty, we're flying, and see the Hogwarts Express. Quest ends and we separate. Next thing I know, I see a dragon flying up from behind me right into the lake like that! Crazy.
That part was awesome
today i encouterd a group of student fighting and then the headmaster came. this had never happen to me before.
I heard that in Slytherin common room you can see the basilisk go by randomly. It's when exploring the Slytherin common room before attempting to climb a set of stairs that cannot be accessed. However, before throwing the player back down to the bottom as normal, an enormous snake could be seen slithering past the top of the staircase.
This was debunked its literally an untextured kraken tentacle
Its a glitch of the squid
That has to be rare because I haven’t seen it yet
It's a giant squid clipping through as confirmed officially but it's quite funny that it would even be there, swimming to clip through that wall at all 😅
That dragon scared the hella outa me cuz I just heard it’s grunt while I was just hovering above admiring Hogwarts and I panicked so hard I ended up going in circles mid air until I finally remembered I can land in Hogwarts
I remember I was doing the quest where you have to get the thing in the lake for the girl (I don’t remember her name), and all of a sudden the dragon came down and ate something in the water. I legit though I was just seeing things
I kept the necklace thinking I could wear it, but I can’t! I was evil for no reason 😭
I had the same happen to me with getting the mermaid necklace 😂

I have Seen an even more rare thing, I remember once I went to the Slytherin common room at night and I shot the window and the whole body of da squid swam past. It had one eye. Now that's some rare stuff
The express to Hogwarts runs once every 24 minutes of the day in the game, 12 minutes night, 12 minutes day. The train passes normally during the day, it is not by chance and you do not have to be close to any of the events for them to activate. these occur even if you are not around. The dragon, for example, is the only one that appears near your position regardless of where you are, it can drink water from the lakes and take a cow or sheep to feed itself.
A day is 48 minutes in hogwarts legacy but the thing with the train appearing once every 24 mins could be true i know it happens every day
giant squid will show its full self in the Slytherin common room... after I beat the game, I blasted the window, and next thing I knew I see this big head and giant eye swim by the window, it's body and tentacles following after, so big and so long... I'm sure it was the entire squid body!
before the squid i actually expected us the main character to see the mermaids first
I love how much detail went into this game. I'd seen the Hogwarts Express and the dragon, but it wasn't until my second playthrough that I finally saw the giant squid in the lake. I haven't seen the squid in the common room yet. I'll have to look out for it.

LMAO! I encountered the giant squid in the lake during my first day there. I was exploring & I tried to swim in the lake for the sake of exploring the realm. Then WHAM! Giant tentacles came out of the lake about 5 feet from where I was swimming! I was like, "HOLY SHIT! HELL NAH!" I turned around to the shore instantly.
🤣 I don't blame you. Did you scream? I would have.
And then my boy wants to swim there to help some people. Everything for the missions lol
U can take out the broom while ur in the water
@@andresvelez8191 depends if they’ve unlocked the broom yet. I went for a swim through the lake before I got the broom
The first 2 days in are tutorials so I doubt you exploring that early it won’t it physically let you go anywhere!
So rare that the Hogwarts express happens once every 24hr in game.
The squid sighting in the lake every 48-72 hours.
Dragon never saw once during the 100 hours I played.
I saw the squid when doing the initial broom lap. Probably one of the coolest things ever and gave me the chills 😃

@@timetraveler9218 according to? I’ve been a part of the HL community for almost 3 years now. Literally taking in every detail. Ranrok is shown to be the main and first villain you encounter.

I encountered the kraken and I “mounted” the dragon on the same day! 😁
What I love most about Zoe Morgan being back in this episode, is how she wasn't only here as a "tool" :
If you remember in her episode of introduction she told John she became a fixer because of someone who made reporters go away from their home, and that she wanted to be like that.
And in this episode we got it tied back as she lets the POI of this episode enjoy his life and privacy by making the reporters go away.
As for Root... Well she seems quite mysterious doesn't she :)
The amount of times I’ve seen one of the ghosts run after another with a full on axe is insane😭

It's confirmed to be the giant squid clipping through the wall
I've seen two instances of that dragon, and heard of a third. I've seen it swoop down over the lake, and I've also seen it swoop down and steal a cow (just to the east of where the cave is that seperates the top and bottom halves of the world map), but I've heard someone say that also saw it once on a pumpkin farm, smashing pumpkins. Never seen clips of that one or seen it myself, so don't know if it's true or even where the location is, but with two existing dragon events, it's not impossible that there's more.
saw the dragon twice, first time it swooped down and i almost missed it, but i could have sworn it was flying away with a sheep
Actually, whenever you take the flying class for Madam Kowga, one of the students will give you a tour of the grounds on your broom. You can then see the giant squid as you fly over the lake.
The first time I experienced the hogwarts express making its way to hogwarts was exactly when I flew my first flight with Highwing. What an experience! Was beautiful.
You can also see the Kraken’s entire body at some point when it swims by the window in the distance. Don’t actually know if anyone else has caught that one yet. I saw it after shooting the window repeatedly but that may have been a coincidence. But it DOES happen.
Cool! I'll have to keep an eye out. I wish we could see the merfolk and grindylows.

That dragon appears just about anywhere actually he flew right up next to me just mountain exploring one time.
Damn i spent my whole playthrough being part of slytherin and never knew about the kraken tentacle just casually sayin hi on the window... Thanks for showing this

I was randomly flying and I saw the dragon and the giant squid both at the lake at the same time and I’ve never pressed screen shot so fast it was so cool
The one and so far only truly dream-come-true game ever, in my experience. It’s the photorealistic Hogwarts simulator dreamt about for decades. Still can’t believe it exists.
With the squid being a thing it couldve deffinitely changed goblet of fire
My first encounter with a Dragon was on a countryside cow field at one of the southern regions of the map. I was riding one of my mounts on the ground looking to get some Fwoopers for the Vivarium and a Dragon dives right in front of me and swoops a cow from the ground with its foot claws and flies away with it.
A part of me wanted to fly after it but it was one of those scenarios where you just can't help but stare at it as it disappears into the clouds. Tried to record it but I'm new to Playstation so I didn't know how :p

I saw several: one is two headless ghosts playing with their heads in Hogsmeade cemetery, a floating student whose classmates leave him until the next day, and Nearly Headless Nick pestering Scrope to clean his statue. I also got to see the squid on the lake
on my first time, going to the water in this game, I saw the squid tentacles
When one knight is humming and the other one doesn’t like it and beats him down to a pulp
Another super rare event. Seeing a Venemous Ambusher. I had encountered every enemy in the game except this one and needed to encounter it for my Collections. I had to do three Battle Arenas to get one - and thankfully it WAS just only three
That dragon always startled the crap out of me when it flew overhead. Literally I'd be running along and suddenly there's a loud sound and Dragon.
Man imma camp out at the hogsmeade station for the next 6 hours now 😂

Gotten all of these but the slytherin commonroom one took me weeks to get. The others both happened pretty quickly in all 3 of my playthroughs.
Anyway you can see the squid while getting in trouble with poppy.
Saw the dragon once when i'm hunting giant toads.
If you go really close to some of the exposed pipes you can sometimes hear the hissing of the basilisk

Had the Squid one early in the game as i was flying over the lake. Nearly shat myself - thought it was going to drag me under.
I encountered two students by the fountain in the hospital wing with their goat called “George”, the nurse was pissed at them for bringing in a goat inside the castle 😂
And every now and then, Deek will tell you how impressed he is with all the potions you’re brewing… once in a blue moon, that one
I also caught a owl a jabbernoel and a hippogrifff flying around at night that was pretty cool
That dragon can apear everwhere it jumpscared me while i was fighting the ashwinders yesturday
I saw the train early on in the game and stood in the tracks to see if it had a secret death for it but instead it moves your character back on the platform after enough pushing from the train
I've only seen the kraken so far I'll have to keep my eyes out for the rest

The dragon appeared for me near the second railway bridge furthest south of Hogsmeade Station. Though, I’ve seen the train once and I’ve not seen it since.
I was flying on my broomstick when the Giant Squid surfaced on the Lake. Flew through the tentacles many times. Best HL memory yet.
It’s not just over the lake. You can pretty much see the dragon anywhere on the map. One time I encountered it when doing J. Pippin’s quest and it scared the shit out of me lol
I had TWO dragons show up at the same time. It was wild!
I’ve spotted the dragon only once entering the back end of the map once you get through that goblin tunnel
During my 1st playthrough I was running full speed through a bunch of fields and literally mid jumping a fence saw the dragon lying down and chilling a field away. It then shook itself off and flew away! Thought for sure I was going to have an RLCraft moment there...
And that’s why I’m absolutely NOT retrieving that stupid astrolabe from the lake
Seen the Giant Squid twice in game, and an event where a poacher tries to sell a Niffler who pickpockets the buyer and escapes
I saw that squid come out on my broom lesson. Didn't know the dragon was on the Mini map. But I saw it down south up
I was doing a little exploring when I finished a random side quest, and I wanted to head to some of the floor powder fast travel locations for later and see what's around. I stopped at an animal habitat down away on a cliff. As I looked up to try and see some of the birds, a giant dragon flew above me and out of site. I thought I had gone too far out of my character level and was so scared I would have to fight it. I have seen it several times, and a couple times, I saw it on the map, I traveled to where it was or where I thought it would be going, and I saw it in person before it went out of bounds.
The dragon I have seen both places and the Loch Ness in the lake

The Kraken is so cool, I was lucky to be flying through when it popped out. It was pretty epic I gotta say. They did such a nice job on the details of this game.
First time I saw the kraken or whatever that is my heart jumped for a sec lol
Dude, I just started playing and I am only 10 hours into gameplay, just unlocked the broom and I’ve already seen the squid twice 😂 the first time I was going to complete the quest for the girl on the dock who’s grandparents drown in the lake and her father forbade her from going into it to find their treasure. I was like “sure I’ll swim out there, no problem, if it’s to find your grandparents lost treasure for you, then it’s a good cause” then the squid appeared and I was like “nope… never mind, I’ll stay on the dry land where it is safe, sorry about your grandparents and their lost treasure, byyyeeee”. I assumed the squid was part of that quest, so I haven’t swam in the lake since! I did fly over on my newly unlocked broom and I saw the squid again. I didn’t realize it was so rare!
That squid in the common freaks me out!

My encounters:
2 students getting thrown out for stealing at the joke shop. When they said they didn't steal, fire works went off in their pockets 😂
A suit of armour beat up another suit of armour.
A guy put on a giant tophat & started floating. In the courtyard.
First time in the woods a group of Centaurs walked past me.
My favorite it one suit of armor smashing a second suit of armor to pieces. That one always catchs me off guard
