She has remained under the radar because her family insisted that she have as normal a childhood as possible (despite being the best singer on the planet). Angelina turns seventeen this January 9th and 2023 is going to be her breakout year (IMHO). She graduates this summer and an album is expected out at the beginning of the year. Nice reaction! There is an agreement in place with Republic Records and her family that they will heavily promote her and her new music when she is done with school, which happens to be in 2023! Her family wants her to live as much as a normal life as possible before she becomes big time. I feel they want to make sure that she is always humble with her present and future successes. If you ever get a chance to see her in an interview, she is soft spoken, well mannered, and humble about herself and grateful for all the success she has had. And that was when the perception of seeing a "normal" child ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. The body of the 7-year-old was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-year-old black woman with years of experience singing blues and soul. I was surprised then, and that surprise is still with me, some seven years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on RUclips and in the seven years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. If you weren't aware, Angelina auditioned for Norway's Got Talent at 7 and went on to win it several months later at 8. Her parents wanted to encourage her to follow her dreams, but they insisted that Angelina would enjoy a normal childhood. They turned down 90% of all requests and turned down any record labels. She still had time to sing for Heads of State abroad and even for Barack Obama. She hung out with Quincy Jones and sang at his birthday celebration, and sang with Norah Jones in Japan. Angelina appeared on America's Got Talent, The Champions, but wasn't passed to the final group. The reason was that she refused to sign a contract that would put her under one of the AGT affiliated labels. Angelina even turned down Disney. She did sign with Republic Records at 14. Answering was given complete artistic control and in determining when she would release her music. She chose Republic because they shared her vision for her music. Angelina will turn 17 on January 10, 2023. She will also graduate from high school in spring 2023. Tiny Little Girl Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice will be 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. Other than the lack of active promotion by her label, the reason she hasn't blown up more is that the genre of music she sings is enjoyed more by middle age and older folk, you can see this at her concerts. Younger music fans just aren't looking for singers who cover older music, mostly jazz standards, particularly the much older music than Whitney's that she normally sings. I think the younger crowd might come on board when she puts out more original music such as the album that is supposed to come out next year as her last couple of originals have a more modern sound. Actually, Angelina's sound is totally unique, she really doesn't sound like the old jazz singers who influenced her, she has evolved beyond that, and there are no modern singers like her either.

Eddy, she was gifted by God/Allah with this voice, her larynx is a bit bigger than usual (deeper voice), and she practices music since age 3 36 hours a week. Vocal coache s confirm her to be a contralto (deepest singing voice a woman can sing), Whitney was the exact opposite(soprano). Did you know that she speaks Norwegian, English, Swedish, Farsi/Persian and Japanese and a bit of German and French. Her confirmed instuments are the keyboard/piano and the guitar. Angelina is a once in a generation talent. Thinking of other child singers and the ones that come to mind are Shirley Temple, Judy Garland and I believe AJ's voice and breath control is better than either of them. Angelina has the top goose bump factor. No one brings them up better than her. On the surface it sounds great but listening closely to her voice and breath control, her emphasis on words, it's mesmerizing, hypnotic. She has a spell on us. She draws us into her world of her magical voice. Her recognition is coming. It's unstoppable. She gains more followers and fans daily. She will be acknowledged as being as accomplished as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Adele, Rhianna, among the greatest of this generation and more so than many. This music pulls at your heart stings.

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. Rob has been working with AJ from the very 1st day Republic signed her at age 14. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision. Angelina Jordan is top priority for both Stargate Production Co. Nice reaction! There is an agreement in place with Republic Records and her family that they will heavily promote her and her new music when she is done with school, which happens to be in 2023! Her family wants her to live as much as a normal life as possible before she becomes big time. I feel they want to make sure that she is always humble with her present and future successes. If you ever get a chance to see her in an interview, she is soft spoken, well mannered, and humble about herself and grateful for all the success she has had. Angelina is poised to have a big 2023 and we can't wait to see it!

I discovered Angelina shortly after she uploaded to RUclips her initial audition on Norway's Got Talent in 2014, which was a few months before I celebrated my 83rd birthday, and I've been a devotee since hearing the performance.
I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over, or forgetting, her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the perception of seeing a "normal" child ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music, and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-year-old black woman with years of experience singing blues and soul. I was surprised then, and that surprise is still with me, some seven years later.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on RUclips and in the seven years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves, but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener.
As I have noted, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl, in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing.
Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world.

If you weren't aware, Angelina auditioned for Norway's Got Talent at 7 and went on to win it several months later at 8. Her parents wanted to encourage her to follow her dreams, but they insisted that Angelina would enjoy a normal childhood. They turned down 90% of all requests and turned down any record labels. She still had time to sing for Heads of State abroad and even for Barack Obama. She hung out with Quincy Jones and sang at his birthday celebration, and sang with Norah Jones in Japan.
Angelina appeared on America's Got Talent, The Champions, but wasn't passed to the final group. The reason was that she refused to sign a contract that would put her under one of the AGT affiliated labels. Angelina even turned down Disney. She did sign with Republic Records at 14. Answering was given complete artistic control and in determining when she would release her music. She chose Republic because they shared her vision for her music.
Angelina will turn 17 on January 10, 2023. She will also graduate from high school in spring 2023. Angelina will be releasing her first album with Republic in 2023, possibly timed with her graduation.

It is that tone in her voice that is enchanting and demands your attention. She has a bluesy, smoky, soulful, classic jazz style voice. Whitney released this song at the age of 29 years, Angelina has 13 more years to further develop her vocal skills which frankly is just insane and hard to imagine how good she will be when that time arrives - even by the age of 20 years, she might be unmatched as an artist! Angelina known as 'the barefoot princess' or 'the empress of jazz' but can sing just about any type of genre of music including rap, rock, pop, country, etc., buckle up as the journey, should you choose to follow this young woman, will guide you into the cosmos, her body of work is vast and she has some very good originals also.

Tiny Little Girl
Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice will be 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Other than the lack of active promotion by her label, the reason she hasn't blown up more is that the genre of music she sings is enjoyed more by middle age and older folk, you can see this at her concerts. Younger music fans just aren't looking for singers who cover older music, mostly jazz standards, particularly the much older music than Whitney's that she normally sings. I think the younger crowd might come on board when she puts out more original music such as the album that is supposed to come out next year as her last couple of originals have a more modern sound. Actually, Angelina's sound is totally unique, she really doesn't sound like the old jazz singers who influenced her, she has evolved beyond that, and there are no modern singers like her either.

Eddy, she was gifted by God/Allah with this voice, her larynx is a bit bigger than usual (deeper voice), and she practices music since age 3 36 hours a week. Vocal coache s confirm her to be a contralto (deepest singing voice a woman can sing), Whitney was the exact opposite(soprano).
Did you know that she speaks Norwegian, English, Swedish, Farsi/Persian and Japanese and a bit of German and French. Her confirmed instuments are the keyboard/piano and the guitar.
The shoeless girl was in Persia, so she must speak Farsi fluently. She sang in Japan to a japanese audience a traditional song in ....japanese.

Angelina is a once in a generation talent. Thinking of other child singers and the ones that come to mind are Shirley Temple, Judy Garland and I believe AJ's voice and breath control is better than either of them. Angelina has the top goose bump factor. No one brings them up better than her. On the surface it sounds great but listening closely to her voice and breath control, her emphasis on words, it's mesmerizing, hypnotic. She has a spell on us. She draws us into her world of her magical voice. Her recognition is coming. It's unstoppable. She gains more followers and fans daily. She will be acknowledged as being as accomplished as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Adele, Rhianna, among the greatest of this generation and more so than many. This music pulls at your heart stings.

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. Rob has been working with AJ from the very 1st day Republic signed her at age 14. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision. Angelina Jordan is top priority for both Stargate Production Co.
