I would agree the writing needs some work but on the whole I enjoyed it. And the game is name your own price on itch.io, so it can be free if you choose.
@@TheClapperCreations Thanks for the response! I saw that this one in particular was name your price (or free), but just wondering if you happen to know if this general PS1 low-poly horror style of game is usually name your price or free, or if they're generally sold for something like 5.99 on Steam or such? Just wondering!
Oh, my bad I mistook the point of the question. The Low-Poly/PSX style is usually used in free or low budget games. It's low on resources and easy to use, usually. When it comes to price points though that really is up to the developer and what they feel like charging. That and a lot of free games wont be on Steam since you have to pay to put your games on the platform. Hope that got to the core of the question.
@@TheClapperCreations Thanks! I was curious because I've been considering attempting making one of these retro style games, but wasn't sure if it'd be crazy to try and sell for some price. I figure game length may be the biggest factor in determining if the author is justified in distributing it for anything other than for free. This one was short (maybe many of these type of games are), and had its gameplay somewhat on rails, so I suppose one players' playthrough won't differ too much between another's, which may be another factor. 🤔 Anyway thanks again, and nice analysis at the end.
Dang, the art style isn't bad but the writing really needs a lot of work. Are these kind of pixely retro games usually free?

lol, what a shitty game, and what feels like a gross misuse of an album about alzheimers, memory loss(?) subtext aside.
I Can't say we agree on the quality of the game, but I am curious what you mean by "gross misuse of an album about Alzheimer's"
