Welcome to this stunning indoor cycling video set in the heart of the Lake District, UK. Our virtual journey begins in the serene beauty of Claife Heights, an area renowned for its picturesque views of Lake Windermere and beyond. Our ride takes us past Wise Een Tarn, a peaceful body of water that offers reflections of the surrounding hills, perfect for calming the mind as you push forward. Shortly after, we pass the equally tranquil Moss Eccles Tarn, which holds a special place in the hearts of visitors for its serene atmosphere and historical connection to the famous children’s author, Beatrix Potter. The gentle sound of flowing water and the chirping of birds creates the perfect backdrop for this portion of our ride.
Next, we begin our descent towards Far Sawrey, a quiet village nestled between the hills, offering glimpses of Lake Windermere on the horizon. Far Sawrey and its sister village, Near Sawrey, are famous for their links to Beatrix Potter, with her former home, Hill Top, just a short distance away.
As we cycle further downhill, we approach the western shores of Lake Windermere, England's largest natural lake. The views here are simply breathtaking, with the shimmering waters of Windermere stretching out before us. We ride along the tranquil shoreline, offering spectacular panoramic vistas of the lake and surrounding fells. This section of the ride gives a sense of peace and awe as the majestic Lake Windermere offers calm waters and expansive skies. We then begin a steady climb towards the small village of High Wray, a hidden gem in the Lake District.
