Great video - love that insight into how you all work together, share ideas and line, helping the new riders find the speed. Feels like you 10 thousand hours has you back flipping easy than I can pedal on the flat, looks effortless.
I lived for the thrill of launching drops and DH racing back in my day. So fun fun to watch you guys these days. I saw a few riders back in the 90s who were jumping as huge as you guys. White Castle in NJ BMX trail supreme is where I witnessed Lars Tribus launch at least 80 feet and I have it on video because we were testing the Spooky project X prototype and Todd Bosch was jumping it right behind Lars
@@dezzydiamond7121 Well if these guys had a backbone they would've done a few runs to keep the fans and the ones that turned up and payed happy, I don't know what contract these guys have but they must have been happy to travel and turn up to the event but to pull out with less than 24hrs to the main show is piss poor letting down everybody. Slopestyle is a very niche sport and these guys have chosen to go down that path they know what there getting into, maybe if 20 million people tuned in to watch them on Redbull tv they would be renumeration accordingly but unfortunately that's not the case, half of these guys having been hanging out and partying in Queenstown the most expensive city in NZ so who's paying for that?. My lad races enduro we don't get paid for travel, accommodation and "appearance" fee and he puts his body on the line without bichin and moaning.
Really disappointed in how you folks handled the events today Tom. I travelled hundreds of km to see you boys, which has become a yearly tradition for me. We don't get many events of this class in New Zealand. Regardless of the situation (which I don't know much about) the way you blokes handled it only burned the fans. I'm the dude who awkwardly told you I was rooting for you on the way into the event this morning. I have followed you for ages, your YT channel is the best, but man this really sucks for just regular paying ticketholders. I wish you'd found a better way to make the changes you deserve.
Whoever was involved in ring leading this is a butt-head, this whole situation sours everything, should have been handled long time ago, if a few riders are deciding for the whole event then ya'll need to stay home, I hope you're not involved with organizing the pull out.

Good luck Tom. How you stay so chill is way impressive. So laid back it’s insane. Loving chat with Niko. Thanks awesome vid and insight.

Demand a refund.
I've seen guys travel 11,500 miles from uk with their kid, devastated.
Well, its called a strike, be mad at the organizers for not reaching an agreement

What sours everything is the promoters not fulfilling their end of the agreement that riders signed up for.
It'll be Rogatkin thats done it. Nobody's knocking off Emil off top spot anytime soon

Well that's a bit shite that you guys are not competing tomorrow.
