It’s not really because of that because there can be only like four studios at a competition but they can put in a ton of dances not just like two or three dances
Abby is actually a bad person she’s narcissist in most awful ways. There’s literally so many signs of it just search up the traits of narcissist and look at Abby you will see what I’m speaking about.
TRUTH ALERT: I went to the competition from 3:17 which was nationals. Firstly, the girls only had one other studio to compete with. Secondly, there was only about 15-20 people in the audience and yes we were all moved to the front and I didn't mind that I was behind Jill lol. Also, they asked the audience to go on stage when it was awards time so it looked like there was more people. Everything in this video is true but I didn't know about the Kendall thing or that producers picked the music and how the moms had contracts.
More proof the later season competitions were fake- all the competitions were done in front of a solid color wall with a plain white logo projected it. The earlier seasons had a big expensive-looking backdrop, because they were real money-making competitions that exist in real life, and those backdrops cost thousands. But since Lifetime started making ones up so they could fix the results, they just had some intern make up a comic sans logo and project it on the back wall and figured the viewers were too stupid to know the difference.
Sometimes they make signs to let fans hold up. They made us force a standing ovation. They also don't let competitors stand on the side lines of competition they made us sit in the audience while they performed. My studio competed in the Fresno episodes because my teacher wanted us to see how staged it was.
When Abby talks about how she isn’t alowed to throw people out it actually has a sad back story. Because when she said “so I just go for it!” She was talking about how she just repeatedly was rude to Chloe, and didn’t care because she knew they couldn’t leave. So, if you look at the full video from the interview they actually mention Chloe in it!
Tbh reality shows are real but they just edit or cut away stuff until the producers likes it. Like when they were dancing in the studio and their life stuff those were real. The drama and fighting were mostly real but sometimes producers just go and scripted more dramatic stuff for the view lol
@@darcy72973 but if they stage the comps, it wouldnt really matter because its the same girls, it wouldnt make sense if they had stunt doubles, they you still have the kids working either way, comps staged or not.
That’s why I liked the first few seasons and then sorta lost interest. I have been rewatching the first season on Hulu, and Abby was not the same horrible, hard to deal with monster that she was portrayed as at the end of the series. She was tough but still nice. This time around I find myself hating her less and starting to realize how ridiculous the mom’s were. Nothing was ever good enough for them. Everything was so unfair. But Abby really cared about the girls. You could tell in the beginning that the competitions mattered and were different because they were real competitions, by the time they started staging the competitions (mostly due to the fact that real competitions didn’t want camera’s at the competition and they didn’t want to abide by Lifetime’s rules) you could tell that Abby didn’t care anymore. I mean why would you? None of its real so what are they fighting for? Rewatching it again has really changed how I feel about the show.
She‘s a horrible person and the fact that the majority of the girls do not want contact with her speaks volume. She wasn’t just tough, she was manipulative and even seemed to be emotionally abusive. Her nice moments are a part of that.
wow! I didn't know many of these! I can't believe Abby didn't get to pick the music or even the choreography sometimes! I'm officially on her side. They ruined her rep as a dance teacher and studio owner by staging and interfering with all the dance comps! I always wondered why she kept letting Kelly back too, she was unbelievably disrespectful and loud.
Betty Crash So when Abby said they can't quit "so I just go for it" it seems she felt that she had a free ticket to be as verbally abusive to the kids as she wanted to. It explains a lot!
new dm fan ofall When a mom keeps saying the F word in your studio I would be ugly as well. Paige couldn’t dance to save her life nor could she remember a solo. I don’t blame Abby one bit. And like she said, by the time you saw her yelling she had done told them 50 times before.
jillbeful it is about misusing your power over someone's kid. "If I can't expell them then they can't quit" so yes she could be as ugly as she wanted to be. I agree the moms got out of control but that is no excuse to punish the child.
you realise that abby studio would not be able to use half of the song she uses in the show due to the right behind the songs you see the avg song rates for a song back in 2000 was around $35k and todays song can reach cost of upto $125k so do you really expect a tv show that gain only around 500k veiw in it 1st week to be able to afford to pay half million a month of song rights come on get a clue dance moms is the biggest fake show in and on tv to date
Most of the competitions even more so in the later seasons is because dance competitions are considered "amateur" and you can't compete of you a "professional dancer" and as the girls got older and started to do more outside productions like how maddie did sia, they were considered professional dancers
Did you know that in one of Mackenzie's Unaired solos she accidentally kicked the camera man when filming? Also Kendall forgot one of her solos but Jill threatened to sue the producers if it was aired?
@@softsage112 I know, I still do that 3 years later noticing the year I posted this comment ☠️ guess I just can't be bothered editing my comment more then once idek

Also when Chloe left after season four and Abby called her washed up at nationals she didn’t actually call her washed up that was used for another episode she actually said something about her lazy eye and it was taken out by the editors
In some episodes the music skips. So if producers choose music, they could edit the music for it to skip before competition to create drama. (Correct if I’m wrong)
they did. i’m pretty sure that in a duet wi th maddie and brynn, the show stopped the music, but somebody recorded what really happened, and the music was fine
My sister had an experience like this where her studio thought it was unfair that the abby lee dance studio got to compete twice or perform twice. She even was supposed to win 1st place when Mackenzie won 1st place with her solo (When Maddie got 2nd)
I don’t/didn’t watch the show, but I know 5 and 7 are true because the show came to my high school for a competition a few years back- not a dancer myself, but I was there because my school choir was hosting the concessions stand for the weekend. Everyone had to sign wavers in case we were caught in the background of filming so they wouldn’t have to bother blurring out our faces, a couple of the other girls from our stand stepped into the auditorium to see a few routines because they were fans of the show, and they mentioned how everyone was pushed to the front rows, and they had the audience cheering and shouting when no one was performing so they could film and record it to put into the show. Looking online to see when this was for the show, it was sometime in season 2 for the Star something anniversary competition.
I heard the music Creme De La Creme (Paige’s solo) on a tv show on a different network recently, I heard the music from Maddie’s You Go Go Girl (also on another Network) and Make Some Noise (another of Paige’s solos) on you guessed it on another Network.
I knew almost all of these, but I guess I'm kind of a dance moms freak, haha! However, it was so obvious that they didn't go to real competitions anymore near the end and that they did competition in the same building every week, which disappointed me a lot.
It was obvious that Kendall was going to be on the team because if you watch the video when she auditions the cameras are all focused on her but how would the cameramen know that she was important before she is chosen?
I'm not surprised. A lot of these so called real shows have fake bits. Years ago I went with my friend who was auditioning for the X-Factor, The UK one, not the US one. Anyway the producers herded us all into this massive hotel room (kind of like one of those big rooms they'd use for a party or a conference) There was a big camera in the middle attached to a long revolving crane type thing. We were all told to stand round it, and as it moved above us round and round we were told to scream and cheer as loud as we could. No-one wanted to do it as we had already been waiting for a long time and there were just unenthusiastic mumblings. Eventually the woman in charge got really mad and she said. "look, we either do this now or NOBODY is singing." so we had to do it. Then she made us all stand still, look up and make the X sign towards the camera with our forearms. And we had to shout "We love the x-factor" on a count of three, then we all had to scream and whoop like idiots. Also my friend didn't get through, but another friend who auditioned did get through. The first audition is just singing in a room to a random producer. If you get a callback you come back to sing again for another random producer. My other friend got through two stages but they were both just singing for random producers. i think someone else said that it's the fourth call back to get through to singing for the TV judges. So those really bad ones have been auditioned three or four times and have been specially selected.
most of the competitions are fake but they still go to some real competitions; basically before I joined my studio, my dance studio went to a real competition and the cat was there, you can go back to an episode and see some minis in the audience and it was a real competition and I think it was energy? I don't know
Energy was rigged, it was the only false s2 competition, maybe you're thinking of Starbound because it was the only real competition in s5 and then they stopped going.
I already knew that the editors edit things out to make it more interesting, I also knew they made everyone move up and have fake competition sometimes
LOVED this. i've always tried to tell people they go to competitions with almost no one entered to compete against...why do you think "Sheer Talent" has one overall but "Showbiz" has a top 10 in every category..? "Showbiz" "PT" "Hall of Fame Dance" heck even a few "Starpowers" if thats still around are where you go and the teams there would put her dance company to shame. the only competitions i went to as a kid were in convention centers with thousands of people...they cant even fill a high school auditorium! and just to add on...what Abby said about "since i couldn't kick her out.." ...what 45 year old woman who works with children treats an 11 year old that cruelly?? how vindictive and pathetic and wrong. also, hopefully people know that Gia and Abby didn't choreograph everything but im glad you included it. great video!
Well for the "Boss Ladies," "Straight Out Of Pittsburgh," and other hip hop dances they were choreographed by Guy Amir who trained with Abby when he was younger.
This is amazing.I already knew that they do 2 competitions and one is for the show and for real.I also knew that they pay the judges so maddie wins all of the time.
Like when there was an "error" on the score between chloe and maddie (when they performed the exact same solo), it was totally fake abby just didn't want chloe to win against maddie this time 😒
Perrine Bk that scene could’ve been staged. As you see in many if these videos that the producers control basically everything. Abby even exposes the show and probably loves all the girls equally.
3:26 because most moms auditioned their kids when their kids are in their minis' or juniors' age, and they left the studio when their kids are good at dancing.
Centinela Valley Center for the Arts .. used to be an Adult School. my mom used to work there. they moved it down the street and around the corner to a bigger, better place. now, this building sits in the spot.
With the thing about Abby and Gianna not being able to choose the music, in 'The Maddie Diaries' Gianna wrote a section and it said that she doesn't get to choose music
Omg. I'm shocked. I've been watching clips for 3 days now and I had a feeling it was a bit fake... However I had NO idea it was THIS fake. It's pretty much a movie production IMO. Thank you for sharing, this was incredibly informative and ALL FACTS. Great work 👍
Tbh, if 99% of people don't notice, then one person in every hundred does! And since around 2 million people consistently watch the show, 20,000 people already know these things!! HAHA 🤔
There are only a few people in the wings because they don’t allow us to go backstage when our numbers are up they change the order just so that the kids can go. Season 8 episode six I was there competing and the didn’t let my friend go back there for her solo because the were filming Savannah’s unaired solo “It’s not my fault”.
It's not uncommon for studios or dance teams to hire outside choreographers, epecially in the world of competition. Usually the people hired to choreograph know what the judges from certain dance organizations are looking for in terms of choreography styles. Realistically, it gives your team/studio a better chance of placing higher.
Once I was in a competition with them, and we were forced to scream and clap for them, we also had to sit in the audience well they preformed! Like we were there to compete just like them, but we had to make it see like they were so much better!
This makes sense. Think about it, how could Abby find a competition to go to every week? Like even in September, October, November and December. Most competitions are held in spring.
Hi! I just wanted to tell you that the “sidelines” of the stage are actually called wings, and that most dance competitions only have about 5 or 6 studios, some studios only put in about 15 dancers and some put in over 50. :)
A couple years ago one of my friends were invited to go to a dance competition that they were at but her studio didn't want to go because Alex gets to pick what place they want to get for the show
1:25 and people STILL think she’s a decent person. Later in this interview she admits she’s talking about Chloe and Christi; meaning all the abuse she threw at Chloe toward the end of Chloe’s time on the show was little more than petty, vindictive revenge for something that wasn’t even Chloe’s fault.
3:36 i would just like to point out that season 1’s left and right wings were way more staged than the newer seasons. there’s rarely that many people backstage, and the most people backstage would be like a production (many people, different dance performing times). just pointing it out :)
I have been in the business since I was a child, so I was not at all surprised by the information, although i appreciate the post! I am from France and I when I was a child I was very much like Maddie. I got known at quite an early age, then I went on to singing and acting. So I am very well aware of what goes on behind the scenes. I am still an entertainer, but i love watching Dance Moms, it's like reliving my past. The girls are so adorable! Again, thank you for the post, I am sure some people will be surprised to learn of these things! From Paris with Love, V.C.P.
Seeing Gia With Jojo makes more sense as to why Jojo was standing up for Gia. There practically best friends. Jojo looks like the type to ignore the negative side of her friends and only showcase the positive. Other words, Jojo is clearly biased.
Did you guys notice that while abby was explaining the music problem at 1:47 a girl in a blue jacket was raising her hand😊😊 yea we all know dance moms is fake because look at the comments there is actually people who go to the competition and there is not alot of people there anyway and you can tell in season 6-7
Abby still could kick people of the team, however she couldn’t kick them off the show. This is seen at the beginning of season 4 when the Lukasiak’s were kicked out of the team but not the show.
In the first 2 seasons maybe even the 3rd, they went up against lots of competitors and went to real competitions. But after awhile they were banned from actual competitions so they had fake ones in the later seasons. T
All of this is typical for the entertainment industry. You got ONE thing wrong though. It was revealed in the Kelly Hyland court documents that kids were not working within child labors. In fact. some days the kids would 12hr work days. Most of these hours were accumulated on competition days. So... After the "Hyland lawsuit" Lifetime had start following child labor laws in season 5. That's why at this time the competitions started looking odd; they had to accommodate the production schedule.
This is the best did you notice video ever because you said the fact and then you proved it. Good job, keep up the good work Ps. Please pin this, love ya ❤️
Loved this, one thing though in eisteddfods theirs is usually a person letting people or groups in so their isn't a crowd of people backstage so idk why their was so many people 😂❤️
I knew that other choreographers were choreographing some of the dance the straight out of Pittsburg one was by Rumer Noel who still teacher she has a channel and Kenzie on it a lot Guy Groove also helped I think
I am not a fan of Jojo but the ending with Gianna was very funny. Naming her favorite group dances of course the ones Gianna and Abby did not choreograph.
I knew most of them especially the one for moving people up in the audience and doing their dances twice. This is because I competed against them in one competition when I was 6 years old. I'm 12 now so I think that was season 2.
Now it makes sense that Abby is so angry when the girls get 2nd or 3rd, since there is only like 4 competitors.

Do you know what season they started that in?
Love how you included the proof to back it up! Great video
3:26 because most moms auditioned their kids when their kids are in their minis' or juniors' age, and they left the studio when their kids are good at dancing.
1)knew it
2)nope
3)yes
4)yep
5)I assumed
6)no but assumed it
7)yes
8)yeah
9i did not
10)yeah
Those are the ones I knew:)
When all the people were cheering, Chloe just wave like
Ehh..... wtf. 😂😂😂
😂
Did you noticed this video repeated number 2 twice? 97% of u dint. 😂😂😂
Did you notice that it’s noticed and don’t? Because 100% of us did
I meant ‘it’s not noticed’ lol
Well they were different questions they just repeated the number
I did
I did
1:40 (When the annoying girl who asks alot of questions raises their hand to ask a question and the teacher is already answering a question)
Great work 👍
1:23 i honestly love that. 😂
You love when Abby is saying because Chloe can't leave she can be as mean as she wants to her?
Yeah broken dolls and country cuties both won even with a “fall”
do you guys realize the most iconic dances from dance moms were made by OTHER choreographers...makes sense why those are my favorites.
Tbh, if 99% of people don't notice, then one person in every hundred does! And since around 2 million people consistently watch the show, 20,000 people already know these things!! HAHA 🤔
Maddie Fishblob pretty sure it would be 200k but still true 😂
YAAAS QUEEN UR BACK
💗😜
There are only a few people in the wings because they don’t allow us to go backstage when our numbers are up they change the order just so that the kids can go. Season 8 episode six I was there competing and the didn’t let my friend go back there for her solo because the were filming Savannah’s unaired solo “It’s not my fault”.
It's not uncommon for studios or dance teams to hire outside choreographers, epecially in the world of competition. Usually the people hired to choreograph know what the judges from certain dance organizations are looking for in terms of choreography styles. Realistically, it gives your team/studio a better chance of placing higher.
5:00 omg stomp yard and boss ladies r like 2 of the best dances!
Ik I was confused why they went to a competition every week.I don’t do dance but I always thought they only did completions like a few times a year.
When I'm upset I look at ur videos and think how much my life is less stressful compared to theirs so thanks for that
I'm early and I 💟 all your videos!
So does 0:32 mean that they preform 2 one for js recording then they actually judge the real one???
No they perform for judges then for the show so only 2
Hi! I just wanted to tell you that the “sidelines” of the stage are actually called wings, and that most dance competitions only have about 5 or 6 studios, some studios only put in about 15 dancers and some put in over 50. :)
A couple years ago one of my friends were invited to go to a dance competition that they were at but her studio didn't want to go because Alex gets to pick what place they want to get for the show
Omg the dances that weren’t choreographed by those two are my favorites 😱
That makes sense why when the moms leave they always come back 5:35
Love it 😍
The lst one I am so shocked, cause stomp the yard and boss ladies were such amazing dances.
If they dance twice wouldn’t that mean when the girls forgot their solos they would have another chance to do the dances again?
0:22 A judge can be seen in the far right corner during Chloe's fall so it was probably judged twice because she fell.
For 10. My old dance teacher told us that he choreographed before for ALDC! He was never on the show tho

I knew none of these! I loved this so much! I subscribed. 😊💕
Seeing Gia With Jojo makes more sense as to why Jojo was standing up for Gia. There practically best friends. Jojo looks like the type to ignore the negative side of her friends and only showcase the positive. Other words, Jojo is clearly biased.
*"Dumb mistake Mackenzie dumb mistake"*
Well it’s a good thing I’m watching all of these after the series finale 😂
The music gives me the creeps but GREAt video! 😂❤️
I love all it and I watch it every
-I knew 0 of theses-
Please make a part two, i loved this video!
Great video I didnt k ow any of these and been watching since season 4
Dang why does the sad music get me so much-
I love this I think you should make more videos for dance moms
This is just a random question but why is the music so intense😭
Guys did you notice in the video she put 2. Twice
This is the best did you notice video ever because you said the fact and then you proved it. Good job, keep up the good work

I've always wondered, what song do you use lol
Wow this is great
4:12 i have noticed alot holly voice changes mid sentence it was verh strange
Loved this, one thing though in eisteddfods theirs is usually a person letting people or groups in so their isn't a crowd of people backstage so idk why their was so many people 😂❤️
I knew that other choreographers were choreographing some of the dance the straight out of Pittsburg one was by Rumer Noel who still teacher she has a channel and Kenzie on it a lot Guy Groove also helped I think
I am not a fan of Jojo but the ending with Gianna was very funny. Naming her favorite group dances of course the ones Gianna and Abby did not choreograph.
I'm wondering what mom that Abby was talking about at 1:02
I love your videos😍😘❤
Evidence is amazing luv these
Glad you backed up each fact with evidence ❤
that last clip was hilarious lmao
This was super good is was basically like everything fake on dance moms lol
I freaking love this music 😂💕
I clicked the notification bell!!!!!! ❤️
I knew most of them especially the one for moving people up in the audience and doing their dances twice. This is because I competed against them in one competition when I was 6 years old. I'm 12 now so I think that was season 2.
