VisualArq is a plugin for Rhino from Asuni with Grasshopper integration which allows us to use Rhino as a BIM software with powerful documentation options just like what we can find in other BIM solutions like Revit and Archicad.
In this tutorial, you will learn how handrails components work, what are some of the important tips you need to know and how to implement the handrailing with a single click on a given example. We’re also going to cover how to create your own custom handrailing style in Grasshopper and how to parametrically control it.
The extended version of this tutorial will show you some additional tips and tricks for handrailing and how to create stairs with VisualArq in Grasshopper and how to modify the default style and come up with your own custom stairs style.

visual ARQ. is a powerfull tool, iam working in my proyect tesis and i'm doing the handrails of the stairs at hand so i mean it is like used revit is extremely fast to work . thank you

Nice tuto! Visualarq looks so powerfull, bit in your opinion whats the best GH-BIM worflow? Revit inside? Archicad connection? Geometry Gym? Visaularq?
To be honest, none of them are perfect yet. I think that Rhino Inside Revit can be a game changer here, but there is still lots of development to be done. I like VisualArq for the simple reason that you don't have to convert anything, you can work on a BIM project directly in Rhino, but I also think that there are a lot of areas for improvement and we'll have to wait and see how it goes in the new VisualArq 3 version :)
Great video, but how do you type in the grasshopper window? mine is always typing in the Rhino command line????

Is it possible to use objects/blocks (3D geometry) that you previously created for balusters?
The geometry probably wont be customizable, but if you have a shape that you are satisfied, then its ok :-)

Bit ridiculous that you cant set a defined Post distance throughout the railing to have multiple post. No way a railing can only support itself up that ramp with just a rail and balusters
This seems so easy in this tutorial, but when I try to do it myself grasshopper became impossible 🤣
You can do it! Just follow the components used in the definition :D
Thanks for the great video! That doesn´t work for me though: ruclips.net/video/6HpJUvfn7DI/видео.html When I bake the Style in Grasshopper, it does NOT appear in Rhino. Baking the style doesn´t seem to have any effect at all. So I cannot apply the newly created style in the Rhino object properties. What could be the issue here?
