Looks like a good way to set up as long as the numbers don’t change after the auto leveling is on again. 👍

That helped a lot! Couldn’t figure out how to turn off my air suspension. Going to try and setup again for a better ride. Already have 1500 miles on it the way it was already setup and was pretty comfortable at 65 mph. Just trying to get the best ride possible.

Except if you run your airbags out before setup, then reinflate after setup, all of your numbers are going to be off and your load and sway are going to be too light on friction for sway control. You raise your truck to normal towing height, then do everything else you stated.

Check out this video from Equal-i-zer on how to set up with 4-corner air suspension. Just start out at 100% FALR (that's having enough weight distribution so that the front axle returns to it's starting height), and when the system auto levels, you should still have 50%-75% which is in the safe zone.

How much did the airbags inflate after the wdh was installed? Thanks!

I don’t have a gauge unfortunately, but not significantly.

So I confused. So did you setup your weight distribution hitch and spring arms and then hit the air ride/alt trailer height button in the truck?
Reason I ask is etrailer mentions the following to this question:
Q: I have a 2018 Yukon SLT with factory air ride system. How do I properly set up the hitch with the air ride system?
A: When setting up a weight distribution system like the Curt MV Weight # C17063 on a vehicle that has air suspension setup on it the key is to first to set the tongue weight on the vehicle first so that the air suspension activates and then once it's settled you'd need to go ahead and set up the spring bar tension of the system.
I’m not doubting your setup. I’m just confused as to what the proper procedure is. I own a Ram Laramie 3500 Diesel Dually with factory equipped air ride/auto leveling when hooked to a trailer all with a touch of a button.

Yes set your ride height to normal on the vehicle, get all your measurements there. Then adjust your hitch set up using those measurements to get you as close to a level comfortable tow height. What the truck does after the set up we have no control over, I was just trying to measure to adjust my hitch ball height as accurately as possible to my trailer tongue height.

No the airbags are set to normal. They are inflated automatically while towing.
