Ishika - It feels as if the world revolves around us since that is who we use, this body that we are stuck with for a lifetime. We all have our own reality’s where we go to cope with our mistakes and tragedies. We have different outlooks on the world or life. We all have a depressing side and a side that we use our personality for. Sometimes I just wish I could escape into my own reality for a while and be truly happy.

My theory is, Neverland is for those who died before they were able to grow up. That would refer to tragic endings like deadly disease or accident or any case of murder. In some version of Peter Pan series in illustrated pictures you could see marks on boys bodies that would have come from some part of their lifes. Also Captain Hook is reference to those pirates who were hanged for justice. I still wonder why the boys in the Neverland did not hate time like the Captain Hook did? He lost his arm to a beast and got lynched, boys themselves died tragically. Anyway for me, the Peter Pan stories give me shivers as do many other stories.

I know a sad theory on Peter Pan.
It's goes like this:
Peter Pan is an angel that comes to children who pass away and takes them to neverland. A place of fantasy and dreams for children. So it's a place they would never want to leave. So in a sense the children die and go to heaven aka Neverland with the help of Peter Pan.
Also makes sense as to why the children never aged. Also the creater made the story and read it to children who were terminally ill in hopes that they won't be afraid to die since they would be.
So this song is like the perspective of the child who was lost and Peter Pan helped him get to Neverland. The child was ignored and neglected by his parents who didn't care for him. One night he passes away most likely from a illness and Peter Pan takes him to heaven Aka NeverLand

for 12 years I looked at the window, hoping he'll come and take me to neverland, away from this dreadful world to the place i believe my perfect home he never showed, but I believe he did... one of those ever dreadful nights i was gazing at the window and a strong cool breeze came through it and I saw a shadow in the sky... the next day everything changed... i got my first friend in school and a lost boy was wandering outside my house and we both became best friends and now I know that neverland or not, peter pan will always help us as long as we believe... it might be crazy but I believe that the cool breeze was pixie dust and it helped me to fly from my loneliness to my neverland in reality.

interesting take but i cannot and will not buy into that dark theory.... peter pan and the lost boys are all orphaned children that took solace in each other and found a place where they would never turn into cold hearted jaded grown ups and have since lived. Captain hook was was once a boy named jimmy and met peter as child - he just grew up because peter found neverland years before hook and his crew found a way there......
