Those were the days. It seems like such a long time ago now. People have forgotten about what it was like in those days it was such a laugh. I had me some good times raving around the UK. I finished raving in 1995 but it was good, it was really good while it lasted.
I'm SO happy my daughters male friends,15yrs old, 2 of them, love the old stool tunes, they must have been a souls that experienced it originally, no other explanation #uhad2bthere
simply the best sounds and year for true old skool core. The mix is mostly appreciated, a nice mix listen to while having a bear getting ready for a night out. got all these on record, aftering listening to this mix, shows how long i haven't played em for.. loads of classic hear. Urban Shakedown feat Mickey Finn - Bass Shake/////// YES YES YES...
It's mad, isn't it. The sheer output during that period, often from bedrooms and garages, with Amigas/STs, keyboards, and decks, and much of it from people new to music, seems unreal. Shows what can happen when the spirit of an age moves a collective.
Oh my dear lord im listening to this now and let me tell you man the memories are flooding back, I've got a lump in my throat. Some of my m8s who I partied with are sadly not here now including my best pal. That track where it says "rub a dub style" (never knew the name) I can remember Robbie Dee MC,ing to DJ Pilgrim at a Trance Dance back in the day when Pilgrim dropped that track....what a blinder man. Thanks man, you don't know how much it means to some of us. Ide pay money for this mix.

So much amazing stuff in just a couple of years; isn't it crazy? A real explosion of culture. I don't think there's been anything like it since in the UK (although it echoed throughout D&B, Garage, Dubstep, etc.) Although more people are able to make amazing music now, with new affordable technology, it's fragmented into a million micro-scenes by the internet. This era was a quantum leap for music!
Agreed. But ultimately its industry that killed talent. As always. If too many people are creating and not mainlining "their" agenda, stuff gets setback or put off or put back nice and quietly out of the way. This has been the case with music for a while. The good ones get silenced if they're not willing to sign the dotted line in blood and seal a contract with the industry. Real talent will always come from within ones self. Never from an outside source or group looking to sway the masses and seek control by finding puppets who are willing to do their dirty bidding for them and push NWO mentality agendas. That's all we see today. That's why I say its been working against real music for so long. Now its branching out to encompass all other facets of life more than ever unfortunately
None of those other music genres are particularly original. Hardcore and jungle were. All though appriciate they took influences from other music's. Hip hop, house and reggae. Obviously. But it created something completely new. Proud it came from our country.
@@timthegallant I guess what I was suggesting in that comment is that all those scenes happened because of the huge advances and totally new sounds of hardcore and jungle (without which, Garage, Dubstep etc just wouldn't have happened). Basically, I agree with you! But I do love me some good garage/grime/early dubstep. Respect!
fucking crazy mix! nice selection you chose songs that didn't all sound the same or have the same beat or play "just the popular tracks". I'll play this mix at every party I have. Oh and THANK YOU FOR HAVING A PLAYLIST!
Takes me back to those nights of sitting on the edge of the stage with a ciggie, looking out at the crowd waiting for the advert for Wix Website Design ad to finish so I could my groove back on
What a fucking mix man, this mix is rocking! I love that little Robert Nester Marley intro it's properly how I remember the flavour. Mad beats man Woop wooo COME ON💊💊💊💊💊
