I just bought one of these. She’s using it backwards. Have the handle facing you then use the crank. It will be a lot easier to use. Thanks for the review! I enjoyed it very much.
Thank you for the video 🙂 I just bought mine and needed this! It's easier to use and clean than I expected. Worth the $ I picked mine up at Burlington for $9.99! Glad I got it!
I just bought one of these nifty little gadgets. Brought it home and spiralized zucchini and yellow squash with the thin blade and a cucumber with the thick blade. It was fun to use. The lady demonstrating it should have been standing on the side where the blade storage area is so that when she began cranking the handle it would have been easier to push the other handle along the way to the end. Once I came to the end, I simply placed a knife between the remaining end of the veggie and the machine and sliced off that bit and pulled the core out the front. She struggled with the whole demo. I had no problem. I will definitely continuing using the Veggetti. Bye bye pasta, hello fresh veggies!
Best review of this product out here on the RUclipss 😁👍 I was specifically looking for that thick potato spiral cut, and it came with the added bonus of this wonderful host making curly fries!
@@bestkitchenreviews You're welcome. I picked this, 2 other useful gadgets AND a centrifugal juicer up from the List of Craig for only $10! This video helped push my purchase 👍 Thanks again!
I have one sitting in my closet for about 2yrs. Just remembered I had it when I saw a Sweet Potato Noodle Pad Thai recipe on Pinterest. Thx for the review.
You can use your thumb on the handle and hold the blade part with your other fingers 100% of the time if you cut the carrot in half and run it twice. Also cut the core off on the crank side and pull the rest through the way it went through the first time
I'm so glad I came across your review! In reading the usage instructions, I somehow skipped right over the words "circular holder" when putting the vegetables on the spiked food holder. I was getting very frustrated with trying to line up the zucchini with the blades sticking out on the opposite end, which OF COURSE didn't work. Knowing it had to be operator error, I figured I'd find a youtube review to see if everyone was having this problem. I watched your review and realized my error in not even seeing the circular holder (duh!) at the other end. As soon as I tried again, and actually USED the circular holder, voila! I actually got my son to try some raw zucchini, and he liked it! Whoa! Thank you!
8 months ago I went gluten free I found this yesterday at goodwill 2.99 I'm so happy. I'm going to wash it really good today and cook some zucchini spaghetti ❤thank you for this video
I see how it makes 1 continuous strip. Can you make a cut lengthwise on 1/2 of the vegetable so it comes out in individual cuts? Thanks in advance. Got mine at the Assistance League Thrift Shop in Albuquerque.
I have one, I use it and I love it. ....she makes it look hard to hold but when I use mine it's so easy. ..I am left handed so that might be a factor...but I would recommend using one of these for sure!
just got one. Trying to cut carrots I cut the carrot in half before using. It keeps falling off before reaching blade and barely got 3 slices before falling off. The best I was able to do. I haven't tried other veggies yet but I hope for better luck.
The way that you speeded up the carrot made it look quite funny. It was as though you were saying whilst doing this it was hard, so this way I'm gonna make it look easier whilst editing . Sorry Anita, just my mad sense of humour :P :D
bought one today for 1.75 at the hrift store, now she struggled with it! if i have to struggle with it like that it can go back to the thrift store! seems like a lot of waste w the core which is actually the best part! i suppose u can use them for another type of meal.
KitchenAid also closed down their manufacturing company, laid off 3,000 employees and moved to Mexico because even though they made a profit they didn't more than double from the year before.
The suction cup thing that was supposed to hold it in place was useless. I needed a second person to hold the thing down while I spiralized a sweet potato.
You could just use a vegetable peeler, grater, or a mandolin to make veggie pasta. This gadget is maybe a little easier to use if you're making a large amount.
The bi-product of the carrot was another carrot LOL. Unfortunately I bought one of these. Anybody wanna buy it from me? The carrots I buy aren't big enough around to barely go over the core part.
Hi, I will add it to the list but don't think I'll get to it for some time. The two spiralizers you saw me review are well rated and worth considering for purchase. Enjoy the trip :)
Try the round ninja cutter. it's a blade in a circle and has just a small place for your hand. I can see where it can cause bodily injury in an instant. you roll this piece of crap back and forth across your food to chop it up.
I love it when people answer rhetorical questions seriously. Concerning the carrot I really was wondering whether you could do the inner part of the carrot. I wouldn't want to waste that.
I have the small handheld one and I was thinking of getting the Pro model but after seeing this review I'm gonna pass. Glad I watched it. Its too much work. With the handheld, I just have to turn the vegetable. Its also VERY hard to find carrots thick enough for this model to work and with the handheld even thin carrots will work. I like the fact that the Pro version offers different blades and doesn't require as much wrist work, but its still too much arm work so its no improvement.
I have a very similar model and it's junk. Unless you have a carrot the breadth of your arm you get virtually no material off of it. As a vegetarian it bugs me to be left with this sizeable core, because that's my dinner, and I didn't buy this dumb machine to serve veggie spaghetti with a side disappointing limp zucchini finger. Juice gets everywhere, have to wash the entire machine every use. Save yourself the heartache and just get an apple peeler for only slightly more money.
Pandora Yea I just acquired one as a present. My experience is similar to yours. Couldn't you just cut up the core? I mean it's still edible right? I think this machine could have been made much better.
The quality looks terrible. Plastic flexing all over the place and some effort to use...When the blade isn't brand new I could see this being a useless lump of plastic. I won't be buying one, most people also have wet hands while preparing food, try gripping the plastic then. Thx for the review though.

I think it's because she is filming. Otherwise she'd be blocking the camera angle.
I think I'll listen to the experts and not the jerk who just bought it and used it once
@@iflopgardens who are the experts? and you just called someone you don't know a 'jerk' ..looks like you're a fucking asshole.
i sure hope its easier! she was really struggling
@@elianazz yeah. It’s to have the handles on camera. You’re supposed to have the handle facing you while turning the crank.

Thank you for a serious review. We bought one today and when I use it tomorrow, it should be easy
Glad it was helpful 😀

"The blades are very sharp so be careful not to touch them."
*Proceeds to touch the blades.*

Thank you for these instructions, I found one recently at the thrift store for $3
I just paid a whole 16 for it lol
Me too! $2.99😊
I found one yesterday 2.99 ❤

Excellent Presentation...
Thank you! I accidentally threw away the manual and this video was so helpful.
Glad it was helpful, Dee 😀
Very helpful! Thanks so much!
Glad you liked it 😀
Thank you so much I plan to get one of these.
I bought one today at a thrift store for $1.00. It only has the RIBBON Cut panel but I'll still give it a try!

I wish the thick blade produced thicker spirals for curly fries like the picture. They're still very thin. That's my only complaint

Ok I just got one of these today , and I want to know how you use the grader side?? Is it just for looks lol ty for your video
Very nice review. You are very good at this
Thanks 😀👍
Have you tried air frying the curly fries?
just got one. Trying to cut carrots I cut the carrot in half before using. It keeps falling off before reaching blade and barely got 3 slices before falling off. The best I was able to do. I haven't tried other veggies yet but I hope for better luck.
I wish I had seen this yesterday, as I had seen one for about £15.00, or thereabouts. I'm definitely going to get one. Those fries look sooooo good
:)
Very nice Review! For the $10 it cost me at Walmart, it seems to be well worth it! Can't wait to try it!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the review :)
I love mine, no more deadly pasta, I use zucchini instead, this machine is great.
Thanks for sharing 😀
lgbtTV5 I say go for it. Honestly, it's not bad.
Where can I find machine? How much is it? Ty
This one is tough to use. I'm trying to use for carrots but having a hard time.
My suction part kept loosing suction. But it did make some great squash "pasta" for my new low carb diet
Can we use that for coconut cutting ?

Hi Anita, KitchenAid makes a Spiralizer Attachment for the Stand Mixers can you review that?
KitchenAid also closed down their manufacturing company, laid off 3,000 employees and moved to Mexico because even though they made a profit they didn't more than double from the year before.
The suction cup thing that was supposed to hold it in place was useless. I needed a second person to hold the thing down while I spiralized a sweet potato.
I didn't know these machines existed until I saw you tube.
Why do I barely know about these kind of tools at 24years old ! You mean I didn't have to waste my time to chop off food with a knife my whole life! 😁
Lol! Glad you know about them now :)
You could just use a vegetable peeler, grater, or a mandolin to make veggie pasta. This gadget is maybe a little easier to use if you're making a large amount.
Yes, this works well for large amounts :)
not sure about that! going to do a bunch of zucchini and maybe some potatoes my mandolin is out too just in case!
The bi-product of the carrot was another carrot LOL. Unfortunately I bought one of these. Anybody wanna buy it from me? The carrots I buy aren't big enough around to barely go over the core part.

Got mine on Clearance for $2. Will try it soon!
Where?
Virginia Sanchez It was on Clearance at my local Wal-Mart Supercenter
Sweet Sheri 2dollars??? I dont believe it
I got it at Goodwill for 3 , but you hot the verter deal because 2 and it's NEW wow
Hi Anita, pls review the Breville kinetix twist blender...😍😄😎
I would really appreciate if you will be reviewing that...😊😃😍
And the cores are edible.❤

Can you do a coconut?
05:40 looks very handy, what about the other half of the carrot?
Hi, you cannot do a coconut with the spiralizer. The entire carrot was spiralized, I didn't want to bore the audience :)
I love it when people answer rhetorical questions seriously.

But if you want to spiralize a potato or a wide vegetable the handheld version doesn't work.
Why is it so difficult to see it won't move itself? LOL XD
I really like mine.
Thanks for sharing :)

It looks like it can break easy with all of those plastic parts.
The plastic is very hard. I just opened mine today
I use this to spiralize parsnips and roast them in goose fat with chinese five spice......IT IS THE BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing 😀
Nice video thank you
Welcome 😊
Having a small hand, I would have to cut the zucchini in half before placing it between the blade and teeth.
Those fries look great!!!!
They were yummy :)

An useless piece of equipment. It's hard that I would like to do. Soft vegetable like squashes are easy but carrots are hard.
This thing is useless! Do not waste your money
