How would you compare those two digital piano powerhouses to a low to mid-range acoustic piano? I heard that no digital piano can match the acoustic sound, and I wonder if that changes with these two.

Acoustic piano quality varies widely. The best digital pianos can surpass certain acoustic pianos (pretty much all uprights for sure and some grands) but obviously they cannot match the grand pianos they were sampled from or modeled after which are usually the very best grand pianos you can find on the planet.
I'm really liking the form factor of the gp9 and it's sound. It costs 10s of thousands less than a high quality 6ft grand piano and the sound is pretty close. No need for tuning or other regular maintenance.

@@cocovi That's a really good explanation and it does make sense, the sound is very close, and I was trying to find a video about comparing those two digital grand pianos to an acoustic one, but all I find is regular digital pianos being compared to very good acoustics ones.
