Brigid is cool, cause you could put some cards in there that give your opponent's a lot of creatures like Genesis Chamber and Akroan Horse or something, and then they have to swing th at each other cause if they swing them at you their value goes away
Monarch sounds like a great way to basically force combat in a brigid deck. Will offer you some carddraw as well (probably want court of grace, archon of coronation, protector of the crown and palace jailor)
I love Subira's concept, tried building around her but I found that I was often tapping most of my mana sources to activate her abilities and could barely play anything I drew :(
Man, I LOVE how much content you put out. It's also been a HUGE help to me with my deck building strategy. I appreciate you, and hope you keep doing this for a LONG time.
Hello again to my favorite EDH video series on the internet :) I wonder if design is going to be so pushed in the future that your videos ten years from now say "Ok, first up is Chulane."
Great stuff. I had to check the decklist for Ignorant Bliss and you didn't disappoint. I played when it was in Standard and for Hellbent decks that was a house. I think it could be underrated as a good avoidance of wheels.
Brigid was one of my first five EDH decks way back in 2009. I ran her with equipment and a soldier sub-theme, because in a pinch, Catapult Squad, Catapult Master, Steam Catapult, Crossbow Infantry, and Intrepid Hero can help cover for Brigid if she gets removed. In addition to the deathtouch equipment, Sword of Kaldra is absolutely amazing with her - it turns her into "Tap: Exile all attacking or blocking creatures." I guess the Zagras Deathtouch ping deck I'm building right now could be considered a spiritual successor of Brigid.
I have a foil proxy Brigid that's one of my rpg characters, Harmon, Halfling Ranger. And, he's built with some equipment support, in fact the almost exact same Package. Also I never thought of Barrin as a ninjutsu commander, but it's an excellent idea. Love this series for the idea of using underrated commanders is right up my alley.
I have Brigid in my Cattie-brie deck and she's a beast. She essentially functions as a hidden commander, as Cattie already wants a ton of equipment in there.
my friend has a super cool subira deck that doesn't go that wide but plays all the infect he can and firebreath and ritual ability, give unblockable to firebreathing infects for the kill and refill with subira if he runs out of gas.
With brigid, if you can consistently force blocks, kaldra compleat equipped to her will exile everything that blocks her. On top of giving her trample, vigilance, indestructible, haste and +5/+5
With thornbite staff on birigid, if you happen to kill multiple creatures with one activation, dont forget you will have multiple triggers stacked up to untap her, each of which you can respond to, which lets you activate multiple times over and over just off one initial activation.
I used to have a casual b/g deck with mana accelerator creatures(Azusa, Orochi Scout, etc) with Mana Breach as a key card for the deck, combining it with Capsize to basically keep the opponent off-tempo and just running ahead with the game.
I made a brigid deck, and stuffed it with all the deathtouch equipment, and sword of kaldra. A bunch of removal with ramp and angels for damage, and it was a scary deck. Only Darksteel Plate and Counter decks were a major problem.
Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar would also fit nicely in a Barrin deck....either don’t block and take the damage and I’ll draw a card or block and I’ll bounce the creature to my hand and draw at the end step.
Dismiss into Dream would def pair well with Barrin if you're down to bounce him back to your hand and then replay him. He basically becomes a reusable removal spell.
Always had a sweet spot for Subira. However, after all the testing and brewing I found that I was jumping through tons of hoops just trying to keep a full grip of cards. If the name of the game was keeping a full hand I would win but I need to focus on other things as well haha
Do you think library of leng is worth using It let's you discard to the top of your library so you can basically keep the cards you want and filter out the rest
I tried barrin since a few months. The problem is the high mana costs. You have to cast a permanent, cast something to get it back to hand and maybe cast it again. And at the and, you pay 3-6 mana to get only one card per turn and that is only YOUR turn. He fits more in the 99 of something else, like every other ninja deck. Meanwhile I think he sounds more interesting then he is.
Subira is definitely very solid, mono red struggles with card draw so dumbing your hand isn’t a down side. Personally I would run this as a mono red tokens deck (obviously krenko exists but this is a different take on mono red tokens)
You have no idea how Happy seeing Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile in this Video made me, Demo!!! I've been working on making a Deck around her being my Mono-White Commander of choice, and other than choosing to make it a Kithkin Tribal Deck, I've been struggling with what else to put in the Deck while still keeping the Deck Fun/Casual while at the same time making it strong enough so I can have it keep up with the Players in my Play Group; I'm a Casual Player, so I try to have Fun whenever I play Commander whenever possible... Anyway, I'll be sure to take your ideas into consideration when it comes to Finishing my Brigid Deck since I've been working on it for quite a while now. Awesome Video Demo, and I'm looking forward to the Next One!!!! ^_^
Talking about Brigid and all the blocking combo potentials. One of my favorites is Valor Made Real, with target creature equipped with a Dead-Iron Sledge.
Barrin is a great card, but he does feel underwhelming. My buddy has a Subira deck, and it is MEAN. Love playing against it because it always turns to a whacky win.
I always love watching your videos we hold a similar philosophy of giving underrated cards the spotlight. I put Brigid in my Hawkeye deck and I put harmonic prodigy in my Spiderman deck I would be super stoked if you went and checked out those decks on my channel demo 😁😁

We will see doubles and triples first
This is easily the video I look forward to the most during the week
Thank you very much man

Yay! I've had a Brigid deck for a few years. I went with equipment too, but with a bit of a kithkin theme.
my friend has a super cool subira deck that doesn't go that wide but plays all the infect he can and firebreath and ritual ability, give unblockable to firebreathing infects for the kill and refill with subira if he runs out of gas.
All of those ninjas makes me think that you are excited about something coming up.
Love that Brigid deck as it has a lot of similarities to my Kamahl, Pit Fighter deck.
Keep up the great work!
Brigid actually looks really fun! Great video!
Ok, the Barrin ideas are super interesting and now I might build it.
I have Barrin in my Patron of the Moon deck as a blue landfall deck with a hand size sub-theme and he's one of the most useful guys in there
Wow never thought about Barrin with ninjutsu... Brilliant! I’ll give it a try!
riptide laboratory would fit pretty well in barrin

Blight Sickle is good with Brigid too for dealing with indestructible creatures.
Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar would also fit nicely in a Barrin deck....either don’t block and take the damage and I’ll draw a card or block and I’ll bounce the creature to my hand and draw at the end step.
This Brigid idea is awesome. Definitely looking into this.
My Favorite Decks And Ideas Always Come From This Channel, Keep Up The Great Work!!!!
Dismiss into Dream would def pair well with Barrin if you're down to bounce him back to your hand and then replay him. He basically becomes a reusable removal spell.
Also Null Brooch and Rites of Initiation seems like two great cards in the Subira deck :)
Great episode! Maybe adding Scytheclaw to the Subira deck?
I think Thriss would be a cool Commander to look at in the next poll
Been thinking about a Brigid deck for a long time, gave me some good ideas!
These commanders aren’t particularly underwhelming I agree! Still waiting for Major Teroh in the polls!
Love your content Demo.
So good to see brigid getting some love!
How about adding rionya to the subira deck ?
A really obvious include for Barren is Gush and Capsize.
Magnetic web would be great in brigid too
Always had a sweet spot for Subira. However, after all the testing and brewing I found that I was jumping through tons of hoops just trying to keep a full grip of cards. If the name of the game was keeping a full hand I would win but I need to focus on other things as well haha
Brigid would work wonders in most Gishath decks.
Suprised you didn't mention shrieking drake for the tollarian archmage

Gustha's Scepter could also be really good for hiding cards before discarding your hand.
Guildless Commons is a cheap self-bounce land. Useful to trade a land drop for Barrin's draw ability.
Subira is definitely very solid, mono red struggles with card draw so dumbing your hand isn’t a down side. Personally I would run this as a mono red tokens deck (obviously krenko exists but this is a different take on mono red tokens)
i tried subira + harmonic prodigy in arena and it didn't worked :( may it be bad programing?
yes. a delayed trigger is indeed a trigger. and the source of that ability is subira. so i see no reason why it wouldn't work.

I would not include the rage forger. That being said I think that’s a cool deck idea. Don’t think it’s underwhelming.
I feel like trusted adviser can be put in more decks then it is in. I have it in my lonis deck.
Man, Brigid is very interesting, but what do you say about massacre girl as a mono b bounce commander? ;-)
Talking about Brigid and all the blocking combo potentials. One of my favorites is Valor Made Real, with target creature equipped with a Dead-Iron Sledge.
If you can afford it, Oboro, Palace in the Clouds guarantees your Barrin draw
Barrin is a great card, but he does feel underwhelming.
My buddy has a Subira deck, and it is MEAN. Love playing against it because it always turns to a whacky win.
Bridget is like my Ben Ben deck, but there I swing with damage reflecting creatures and nukem with Ben Ben
Watch quest for the janklord for some jank Brigid fun lol
I wonder how cyberpunk Akkis will look like
If she was dual colored I wouldn't mind making an enrage deck around Brigid
