    I am using 100% cotton quality cord from China. It is 4mm. I had all of the wood cut exactly to your measurements. When I mounted 16 cords as instructed, spaced them exactly as you did, the width of my entire piece with only cords mounted on the dowel, didn’t even reach the halfway point. I order cord from these people all the time and never had issues, but I can usually tell the diameter of cord 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 mm. I think if i used 5mm cord, then it would look exactly like yours. Chances are my cord may be mislabeled, but when I compare it to my other cordage, it is 4mm. I know cords differ greatly and our cords are different from what you might have. Cord made in Poland, Lithuania, Turkey, are incredible.

    300cm x 16 / 300cm x 20 .. ? Because I watch in your video..only 16 lines? ..please answer 😊

    • @kongskkomjirak
      @kongskkomjirak  2 года назад

      I used 16 lines. Thank you for asking me this question. I'll correct the error.

    • @kongskkomjirak
      @kongskkomjirak  2 года назад

      When I checked again, there are 20 300cm rooms, 16 are used as middle knots, and 2 lines are used as center ropes for hanging shelves.

    • @zehrayumurtaclar2070
      @zehrayumurtaclar2070 2 года назад

      Hi, didn't you use 150 cm rope as the middle rope?

      @@zehrayumurtaclar2070 Yes, I used the middle thread

      My question was the same this makes no sense wasted ropes I should have checked comments before cutting, still a beautiful shelf tho, but confused now wether to use the 2 150 lengths resulting in 70cm centre lines for the arms, or 2 of the excess 300cm cords to make centre lines 150cm each for the arms

    This tutorial does not match the product shown. The tutorial is for only one shelf. I wish I knew that. I should have followed his visuals and seen only one board, but I automatically assumed it was for the shelf pictured. So I am running out of cord. I tend to forget that a tutorial and a pattern are different things. He shows you everything you need to know to build more shelves, so the tutorial is complete.

      Hello, thank you for watching my video. Is there a problem with the length of the thread used in the video?

    • @staylor1244
      @staylor1244 2 года назад

      For the purposes of the tutorial, the video looks like maybe 6mm or even 7mm cord. The video uses thick cord, but instructions say 4mm. I cut wood to size given. When I mount all 4mm cords, the piece is about 7” leaving a lot of space on the ends. The video shows after mounting cords, that they almost fill the dowel. I made it using 5mm, still too narrow.

    • @kongskkomjirak
      @kongskkomjirak  2 года назад +1

      @@staylor1244 If I use a 5mm thread, the thread doesn't fit well into the shelf hole, so I used a 4mm thread. If you look at the video, the string might look thick.
