On turn 22 Arthur tried to block port with rider when in fact correct play would be to build port in middle city and road giant from the mainland into it to kill cloak altogether with the splash damage. This misplay cost arthur North city.
@@TheBattleOfPolytopia Jacek had less easy access to cities, 3 compared to 4, one of the 3 being at the head of the choke point making it very vulnerable. His lacking geographic position pretty much forced him into the water, crippling his economy and ensuring his chances of winning were scuppered
Not really, like in civilisation, you have commercial hubs for land and docks for water, both increase income and you can only have one per city Since most of polytopia was influenced by civilisation, think it would work
Good catch! At that point, fishing and ports probably weren’t a priority for Arthur, and he also couldn’t know where the other cloak was. If he had, putting a port and sending the 36hp giant to the water would have made sense.
@TheBattleOfPolytopia After considering this more closely, I respectfully disagree with your analysis. Beige had clear awareness that the opponent could only deploy cloaks from two ports, with only one port allowing a cloak to attack "Ca el" on the following turn. By placing the giant on the port west of "Ca el," not only would this threat be blocked, but the second "discovered" cloak positioned southeast of the green player’s juggernaut would also have been destroyed. Moreover, examining the position further, you’d notice that if there was indeed a cloak on the port northwest of green’s "Catek" (as there was), its realistic movement options would be either northwest-which wouldn't place it in range of a city next turn-or southeast, near the battleship. Fortunately, this potential cloak would also be neutralized by splash damage if a giant were placed west of "Ca el." The 11:01 timestamp provides a helpful overview of the situation. Of course, it's always easier to analyze moves in hindsight with plenty of time. Great game and video, nonetheless!
These matches are fun to watch, I should do online more instead of just crazy bots so I can be as good as this
Playing with people will be much more challenging, that's for sure.
Wow! What a game! 😮
Yeah, what a play from both players!
Calling Jacek Džejsek when it's pronounced literally Jacek should be criminal xd
Anyway, great game and cast 🗿
Our commentators are from an English speaking country so they are not aware how to pronounce that properly. Thank you for watching 😊🙏
I was dying from the pronunciations
😂🤣
Beautiful balance game of defense and offense
Hardly a balanced game 😅
Yeah, pretty balanced. They went different routes and Arthur's approach, eco and knights, gave him a victory.
Polytopia is as beautiful as always
Thanks 😊

It's live games. Clock is ticking. You can't plan everything and always make the best moves
Are these LIVE battles or 24hours? Insane plays if it is LIVE..
These games are played LIVE.
Not the fairest game, Jacek was dealt a very bad hand
Explain how this game wasn't balanced?

The customs houses are not coming back but markets are doing a good job as well also working on dryland maps.

Wielka szkoda
Can you guys buff vengir? Pls
Not sure. Maybe we will at some point.
How though
11:15 thats not true. they could have moved that 36hp giant onto a port W from "Ca el" and killed the 2 cloaks with splash damage.
