Would like Wilson back: he played well when called upon on D, lead the team in ST snaps, and plays every snap with the enthusiasm of a rookie. He added quality depth while playing on vet min deal last year, wouldn't break the bank.
Why do we avoid the picks that fall to us. TJ Watt, Creed Humphreys. If a "edge" or skilled CB falls to us and we don't select them I'm gonna chug a Carry the G beer with passion and frustration
Packers always been an offensive minded club… If we wanted to draft good defensive players we needed a good defensive mind in the building Hafley’s presence has been pretty obvious with Coop, Evan, Bull! We’re a defensive team now
@@ninjalbatrosswho considers him good? He’s regarded and graded as one of the worse starting centers in the league. In the most generous opinions he might make it into the upper teens in rankings which is below average.
@ Most sources do. You’re just misinterpreting information. And there are a lot of good centers so saying he’s outside of top 15 doesn’t mean anything if the talent from 15-1 is nearly the same.
@@ninjalbatross oh okay. I’m just misinterpreting no one being high on him, and I’ll trust you since apparently outside of 15 just means he’s almost number 1 lol?
I would1 keep them all if team friendly prices are in order. Stokes is good in the dime, Myers only played bad in away games against good teams because the nose guards got the jump on him when the ball was always snapped with one sec left. Wilson and McDuffie are both good depth and special team pieces. I would let dillion walk and also trade Lloyd for an extra pick since our backs position is loaded.
There’s no sense in keeping any of them unless they are taking vet minimum which the only one who qualifies is Wilson. Meyers stokes and mcduffie are all below average replaceable level starters or depth pieces whom you can replace at a fraction of the cost, and even if these guys would take next to no money it’s simply time to put investment into guys who will be at least possible contributors to the future, rather than expensive placeholders.
Lloyds not gonna garner much in a trade, he didnt play. He has a burst that gives us something the others dont, they want to see what their highish pick has when healthy.
Yea, if you trade for them... it's at least 2 first rounders plus big money to not be able to keep Tom and Walker.... there's a lot of key guys coming due in the next 2 years....oh, and people think we should also go big on a FA WR.....
Keep Slaton, kicker. Dillon is gone I think . Nags I agree with you on Myers. Stokes gone. Keep McDuffie and again I agree with you on Wilson. Read where Lloyd has a positive attitude about next season, which is good but man oh man he has his work cut out for him because of Wilson and Brooks! GPG!!
Unsure about Slaton. He was mouthing off in the Philly game and you could see Matt tearing him a new one on the sidelines. If he was a more dynamic player with more consistency, I could see that being overlooked. However, I think they might let Slaton walk and give him a team-friendly deal if he doesn't get signed elsewhere. They just brought in Nesta Jade-Silvera to a futures contract. They could opt for Jade-Silvera instead and let Slaton explore free agency.
I think a lot of the FA decisions are gonna come down to, not only who the Packers want to pay in the future, how much draft capital they want to spend on positions this year. For instance I don’t see the Packers resigning Stokes, Wilson or McDuffie if they plan on making multiple picks at those same positions in this years draft. Sort of like last years draft when the FA safeties were allowed to walk and they were replaced by 3 draft picks.
Our offensive line is not very good and we need a #1 wideout. We have an excellent tightend but cant send him in a route because we cannot hold up upfront and he has to block and block longer, limiting his route tree. We need a #1 pass rusher and a #1 corner. We rely too much on average players and hoping they make a jump and either dont or cant stay healthy. Every game we lost it seemed Jlove had almost no time to go through his progression which during the course of a game and season lead to him forcing the ball because of the score and or being way behind the sticks, which also lead to bad habits. All our running backs made our OLine look far better than it was. We can beat average teams, but we couldnt beat the best teams even on are home field and that has been the case for years now. GPG!
They don’t NEED to sign any of these guys. How about actually drafting a first round pick that can contribute next year? Stokes, Walker, Wyatt, Van Ness Morgan. Except for Walker that is pretty pathetic.
Gute's record is a good one if you look at everything he has done. If getting good first round picks is a problem for him (as it was with Ron Wolf), then trade your 1st for a 2nd and 3rd rounder. More bites at the cherry = more success. Plenty of very good picks can be had on day 2, it's just a matter of picking the right one. You could even trade your first rounder for a high class vet.........though that is not ideal, as you also take on a very expensive 2nd contract, without ever having had the benefit of that player on their cheap 1st contract.
Pretty sure he drafted Jordan Love... definitely still think that was a hit. Cooper wasn't a 1st rounder but that dude looks like a potential star. Bullard also looks like a dude with really high upside. Van Ness seems to be a but of a bust.
I'm holding onto to the thought that AJ is back. Would love to see him with Jacobs!
Hope they keep McManus. Preseason and early season was a shambles before we signed him. Don't want to go through that again.
Would like Wilson back: he played well when called upon on D, lead the team in ST snaps, and plays every snap with the enthusiasm of a rookie. He added quality depth while playing on vet min deal last year, wouldn't break the bank.
I appreciate that there aren't really any critical players on the list.
We’re losing the fewest number of snaps to free agency (~16%) of all teams in the league. Not a bad spot to be in.
Why do we avoid the picks that fall to us. TJ Watt, Creed Humphreys. If a "edge" or skilled CB falls to us and we don't select them I'm gonna chug a Carry the G beer with passion and frustration
Josh Myers was a better scheme fit. And we needed a corner over an outside linebacker which is why the team traded down for King. Easy answer.
@jake8169 yeah I guess but both of those guys didn't produce as expected. It's not a good pick if we don't want to resign you

@@HireCoop not complaining about passing on Pickens lol. We don't need divas
Problem with letting Myers walk is he is an instant upgrade and obvious target for the Bears. I would not want to see that happen.
Is one of the considered worst centers really an instant upgrade? And one that would cost a decent salary? Bears can overpay for Meyers if they want

I pray that GB opens their darn pockets and go after Crosby or Watt for an edge. We haven't had squat since Reggie White.

No he should not. As long as he keeps making the playoffs he will have a job. You have to make the playoffs to have a chance.
