"Specifically, Dubai" mentioned, but the crypto tax law seems to apply to the entire UAE, so it could be Abu Dhabi or the rest of seven Emirates. Personally I find Dubai a bit too artificial and Abu Dhabi (the capital of UAE) is a lot more preferable as it's more laidback and there are many gardens and trees.

You forgot to include Hungary, lowest corporate tax rate in the EU, at a 7% and a Crypto tax rate at a 15% or even lower. I currently hold a Portuguese entrepreneur visa, but it has been pain in the a… to renew because the SEF not longer exists and the government doesn’t have $$ for a new immigration department.

You seem confused. AIMA replaces SEF. The change was not meant to save money, it actually translates into more spending

Ehm the info about portugal is wonky at best. Cost of living is rather high because of all the digital nomads. It is not longer a desired country for many with online (crypto) income... Also puerto Rico: PAY ZERO TAX... but you do get bad healthcare and hurricanes... really? :D Why on earth would you sacrifice your health for no tax...

Although Hong Kong gets a bad rap in the press for geopolitical reasons, it’s really a great place for crypto: zero capital gains tax, crypto friendly regulations, zero GST/VAT, and it’s one of the safest and most comfortable places to live on the planet.

Comfortable? Cold winters, humid AF summers, and busy/loud. I love visiting, but it wouldn’t be a place I’d want to live.

@ guess everyone’s definition of ‘cold winter’ differs but 15-20°C in winter on average would be very mild for most people

@@kenlewis2253 comfort ultimately depends on personal preference. Personally I’d say it means world class infrastructure, connectivity both physical and virtual (2000mb internet for USD25/month and rolling out 25Gbps fiber now), access to great food, world class medical and financial services… etc…
People who want to stay away from the crowds can easily live in quiet areas such as outlying islands, near country parks (little known fact: over 70% of HK is protected countryside) or near the many beaches e.g. in the many villages dotting the coastline or parts of the New Territories …

But if you’re from the US and you move to any of these countries you’ll have to file taxes in the US, and if you don’t owe any capital gains taxes in your new country you’ll have to pay in the US.
