    Ableton's Operator is a super powerful beast of a synth, known for its crazy FM functionality. We all 'want' to know how to use it, but often people shy away because of its confusing appearance.
    So I thought I'd dedicate this one to some practical uses of Ableton Operator so you can actually start incorporating this synth into your tracks and workflow.

    First time ever I see a video that makes FM so straight forward to people more used to analog subtractive synthesis. I'm just past half the length of your video, and I already love it. Congrats and thanks

      Totally right! FM should be practical and fun, rather than all this theoretical content that you then forget to use... Glad it's helped :)

    Thanks for going beyond the usual knob turning and basic info. I've been trying to get into operator for a while now but always end up using something else. Can't wait to get on it and try it out now. Cheers.

    That basic bass line tip was super useful. Layering is the key and great point re: operator making that really easy all in one device. thanks Luca!!!

    Great video, but what the hell to people mean by 'transients'? Are they notes, harmonics or what?

    • @ermwhatdaheck
      @ermwhatdaheck Год назад +1

      it's just a brief section of audio that's at a high amplitude. Look at the waveform of any drum loop and the peaks are the transients.
