I kind of wonder why 'feeling loved' is such a big deal to some people. I feel like Maddy doesn't care if people love her or not, one good thing about her character.
Her backstory isn’t the worst- I think it’s important to show people that many girls experience the trauma she has gone through and hopefully how to deal with it positively next season

Her mom should have never let her go out with those guys. If I went on a date in high school my mom drove me and waited in the parking lot for when I got out. No going in a car with a boy unsupervised. Parents also need to be clear with their kids about what their values are and explain these situations and why you need to avoid them.

I think one thing that we all saw in this storyline is how much girls need their fathers. Good ones. Your father should be a person who will teach you how you deserve to be treated and the worst thing is that however he treats you, you think you deserve it. So whenever another man in your life does the same, you think it’s normal....so please girls, make sure that you choose a right partner and boys, make sure that you show your daughters what they are worthy of. I wasn't willing to give her that because she sucked ass and she was boring she disappeared 🤷 So yes being with girls isn't any different or easier.

Okay but am i the only one who sees a lot of parallels between "Cassie Howard" and "Catherine Howard" , one of Henry the VIII's wives. She was also a young beautiful girl, who was sexualized and praised only for her looks. She was seen as a ditzy ballroom girl and she was used by her family and sexually abused by creepy men since she was a little girl. Both of them trust people too blindly, and they don't think the things they do throughout. So i feel like their treatment because of their upbringing and looks is very similar or maybe im just overthinking it ;-;
