Fun fact I'm pretty sure girls that sing the song every OP are the VA's also love how epic this show was. I'm trying to figure out how it got so popular suddenly out of nowhere. It went from having a 6 year break to having a new season every year. 2010-2018 were the glory years for anime tell me I'm wrong. I wish I could wake back up in 2012 and watch SAO for the first time all over again and fall in love with anime again.

Although I still find the plot embarrassing to explain to my friends when they ask, I have to say that I love this show to pieces.
Nothing to really be ashamed of with this show, it actually has a decent plot and isn’t just fan service like most others in its genre, though obviously fan service is still in this show due to what genre is in

I read the light novel and can assure you that its plot is good. Lots of foreshadowing present, including one that happened in Volume 1 and was given answer in Volume 17
The volume 18 is just gorgeous, really it’s gold

0:00 - 0:33 The whole song is my favorite, but this part is my absolute favorite. The beginning music is so powerful then it becomes iconic with the narration in it. That "Seirei" when the narration begins hits so hard. I've watched this opening so many times in these 9 years that I know the words by heart. There's a reason why the song is called "Date A Live". It is the series anthem. It will never get old.

And don't forget the visuals too. It shows us the silhouette of these young girls who could become a friend or foe depending on their emotions, while trying to live among humans. Then of course the iconic series logo appearing behind the white background to symbolize that this is the beginning of a journey.
