I’m struggling to understand why this doesn’t have 3 million views. Dude this is amazing…. I’m a rookie at DIY, but I bought a house in September and we are doing the whole house. This will be my last project for basement and I’m totally going for this look. Amazing. Be proud of yourself.
Thank you so much, it really means a lot! Hopefully more and more people will discover the video as I do think it’s some of my best work in terms of design and finish. @@rgbking488 I’ll tell you it sure ain’t easy, but it’s a lot of fun. I started the channel a little over 2 years ago and published a video every single week on Saturday morning for about 100 weeks. It was challenging at times, but I think the consistency is what helped my channel grow. I now decided to ease up on the weekly uploads to produce more high quality content now that I have an audience. I also just had a short go viral which increased my subs several thousand. So that’s another way to grow your channel. Good luck!
@@GoldenKeyDesign Ha, I can't imagine man...DEF can't be easy. That's great to hear and I love the quality videos. It's a good strategy to have all of those videos and content, and break them up like you are / have been. This is amazing work. Learned so much from you doing this project and I feel confident to tackle it myself. Husband been wanting a whiskey 🥃 lounge in our basement and I think I’m going to go for it 😊
Thank you!! I was in your shoes not too long ago. You can totally tackle a project like this. I learned everything I know of off RUclips and the internet. Go for it!
Great job. I’m looking to make a bar for my mancave/shop. I really like the metal mesh that you use for the cupboard doors. What exactly is that material?
Thank you! I did build and paint the cabinets myself 😁 This video is the last episode in the bar build series. Go check out the other episodes to see the whole process!
Great build! I'm working on a similar project and wanted a black sink like yours. I did notice on the reviews for the sink that the rinse station isn't sloped so you get standing water. After having some time with it, what do you think? Not a big deal?
Thank you! My sink rinse station is sloped, so I'm not sure about those other reviews. It is a smaller pitch, but it's enough to drain the water. Any little droplets will just evaporate. I really like the sink and recommend it. This is also the only one I could find that was black and fit my 18" cabinet depth. The drink washing station is a really cool and useful feature as well!
I know I'm 3 months out from viewing this. But you could have used a custom LED sign or something for the light on the left. (If that is something you are into..) Otherwise good look and nice design. Very functional space. Love the concrete look behind the TV..
Thank you! I actually strongly considered putting a neon sign on that wall, but I couldn’t find anything that both fit the aesthetic and was a reasonable price. I might switch it out in the future though. Thanks for watching!
Can I ask what the floor dimensions of your bar area are? The square before you started? I’ve lined out a similar area and have concerns it will be too small. Thank you for the vid!
Check out the earlier parts of this series! I go through all of the details. I built the cabinets from scratch and had a local countertop company install the counters
Amazing! But is the countertops granite or quartz? It looks like it the fantasy brown granite. Can be flat or brushed (leathered”) texture. Quartz is like 90% glue, but anyways it looks f’ing awesome! 🔥
It’s actually quartzite which is real stone that comes from the earth. Quartz is the man made stuff. And it has a leathered finish with texture. Thanks!
Finding a decent pedant lights is an absolute nightmare. Most of them come with a ''designer'' prefix to excuse ridiculous price tag. I ended up turning wire mesh fruit bowls into light shades to get what I wanted for tiny fraction of what I would have to spend
Thank you! I actually built them myself 😁 I made a whole video about the process of building them and painting them. Check out the earlier episodes in this basement bar series

It looks great. I wasn’t going to say anything but anybody else considering I’d be honest about how much you really think you’ll use this. In my experience they are never used and people would rather sit on a couch tbh
Hi, your video is very well made, our ceiling fan fits the style of your video (you can see what it looks like on my homepage) we would love to feature him in your video, please reply us if you like it.
If anybody wants a quartzite, go through a local granite fabricator. It's almost as hard as diamond, and is a nightmare to work with if you try to do any work on it at home.
Amazing!
Dreams don't come true, they are built by one self.
Thanks! Great words to live by

This is so cool - very nice indeed. I think I would forego doors if it was my bar, but the styling is great.
Thank you very much!
Great call on the concrete accent. This looks so good, lighting elevates it. Great job!
Thank you! And I agree the concrete wall was such a good idea! Excited to show you how I did the lights next week 😁
this was dope bro great job
Thank you 😁
Amazing work.
Awesome job, as always!

This really turned out nice, great job!!

That turned out awesome! Well done!
Thank you so much!
Really nice work man. Looks great
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Awesome finished product! Maybe granite stamp the concrete for a more uniform texture but other than that, GREAT work!
Thank you! That’s a great alternative, but I really like the randomness and uniqueness of applying the concrete by hand
love the concrete accent wall!
Thank you! It is my new favorite design technique and it so easy and inexpensive!

Lighting makes such a HUGE difference. The concrete wall with the LED lights make a usually boring TV pop - well done!!
The lighting really does elevate the design so much! And the concrete wall was such a great idea 😉
That's a beautiful bar. Just the kind you want to have the buddies come over on the weekend and have a beer and play darts.
Exactly! Thanks for watching!
The handle jig is brilliant

Very cool!
Thanks!
Love this! What are the dimensions of the top bar?
Great job. I’m looking to make a bar for my mancave/shop. I really like the metal mesh that you use for the cupboard doors. What exactly is that material?
Thank you and good luck with your project! I believe the mesh is made out of brass
Great DIY build.
(also covering up those wood panel walls is a bonus!) 🫡
Thank you! And I agree, we have enough wood in the room already 😂
This bar is amazing! Could you share the measurement for walking space . Thanks
Thank you! I went with 36” between the cabinets. But you can adjust it a few inches either way to fit your space. Hope that helps!
I enjoyed every bit
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome.
Appreciate it!
Top notch all the way!!
Thank you, really appreciate it!
The concrete wall looks fantastic! Did you add color to it or is it natural concrete color?
Thanks! That’s how it naturally looks without any pigment. I have considered making in darker for future projects though
What'd you use for the bar top supports? What are the depths of your countertops?
Love it! How wide is the top quartzite ledge?
awesome ! how wide is the upper countertop? how much overhang? thx !
Great build, how much room do you have between the two shelves? As in the room for the bartender?
Total length of the bar is 9’ and each upper cabinet is 18”, so there is 6’ of space 😁
Handled that Black caulk like a pro
Great set of videos !! Thanks. What would be an approximate budget to build such a bar ?
Thank you! I believe material cost was around $6-7k but about half of that was countertops
Nice job , and looks great👍🏽🍻…. Cheers
How much did all this cost in total?
Beautiful work!! I may have missed it but did you build the cabinets too?!
Thank you! I did build and paint the cabinets myself 😁 This video is the last episode in the bar build series. Go check out the other episodes to see the whole process!

dope!

How much did the total cost come out too? Minus the tv
Try to find the barstools the link doesn't work
Can I ask what the floor dimensions of your bar area are? The square before you started? I’ve lined out a similar area and have concerns it will be too small. Thank you for the vid!
The tile is 9.5’ by 6.5’ and the cabinets are inset about 4” inside of the tile. Hope that answers your question 😁
What was the total cost?
Hi, what’s the dimensions for both counter top?
Big black caulk
😂
Where can I get those shallow base cabinets?
I actually custom built all the cabinets myself. The base cabinets are all 18” deep which is pretty rare to find but some manufacturers make them
where you get that pendant light
You should set up your electric before you start the job !!
You live and you learn 😅
Can I ask where did you get the cabinets and the countertop ?
Check out the earlier parts of this series! I go through all of the details. I built the cabinets from scratch and had a local countertop company install the counters

Dimensions for the total space? I'm looking to do a 4 person bar like you did and wondering the total space needed.
The tiled area is about 10’ by 7’. But this is with custom built 18” depth cabinets. Standard cabinet depths are 24” just FYI
@@GoldenKeyDesign yeah I was guesstimating 10’x8’
🔥🔥🔥
Ah that's a big black caulk!
Yea it is 😅
How much did it cost?
In materials, it cost roughly $7k but nearly half of that was the countertop cost. Labor was free!
Finding a decent pedant lights is an absolute nightmare. Most of them come with a ''designer'' prefix to excuse ridiculous price tag. I ended up turning wire mesh fruit bowls into light shades to get what I wanted for tiny fraction of what I would have to spend

How much would the counter run approx
Countertops are quartzite and were a little over $3k. There are many less (and more) expensive alternatives
Ok thank you , this is dope , I wanna do bar at my studio and found this video . Thanks
@@pgw1735 Happy to help! Good luck with your project!

Can you add the sketch up files
I can't add the files, but I documented each and every step of this build if you want to replicate it

Thank you! We have used it a ton actually and our guests love it! It's a great hang out spot
Black Caulk is better
lol black cox
**Builds a bar** “we’re not big drinkers here”, lol, WHAT?
😂 The bar was built as a hangout spot, not just a place to drink alcohol
What’s the walking space between the two counters? Obviously enough to open the cabinets.
There is 36” between the cabinets. The widest door is 18” so there is plenty of room
