I don't care what anyone says or thinks about this car, I just bought mine and I am IN LOVE!!! I couldnt have asked for a better car than this. Its a dream come true this vehicle.
While the car doesn't look near as good as new models of cars nowadays, it's still mind boggling that BMW was able to make this car with this type of technology in 2002. No wonder these were crazy expensive!!
Seems like im the only who thinks this car looks really good. I dont think the E38 is ugly, and I like the E31. But these designs started to get boring and repetitive, I like the change of design.
The 7s pretty much nail it when it comes to blending performance and comfort but gosh I've heard some serious reliability issues. The good thing about this one is that since it's older and has higher miles most of the major problems have been corrected. Car looks well maintained too.

The features that this car has on the navigation is pretty much the stuff my moms 2009 Toyota Camry has but only has heated front seats and no cooled seats or heated steering wheel at all.
I have driven BMW 745 Li just like this one before, great car! When compare to Mercedes Benz S350, Benz suspension is softer and 745 is more like sporty. Driving at more than 120km/h on freeway feels good. Engine is responsive and handling is great. Interior is spacious and back seat can be tilted. If you are around 50s or 60s years old, you might buy a Benz, but BMW is more like for younger people.

Be EXTRA careful if you are considering buying one of these. If you watch Hoovie’s Garage on RUclips, you will know that he bought a 2005 BMW 7-Series and constantly ragged on it and proved how unreliable it was. BMW inflicted this one on themselves because they were really struggling to keep up with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class of the same time period and were desperate to attract more customers, they said that the car only needed an oil change every 15,000 miles (seems sketchy if you ask me), but both BMW and 7-Series owners found out that the cars can’t run reliably when performing oil changes every 15,000 miles. This mistake caused the oil seals to get brittle and would break and oil would get into parts of the engine where it shouldn’t be such as the intake manifold and the combustion chamber in some cases.
The E66 was an improvement, but the Lexus LS 430 was the best back then. Both BMW and Mercedes-Benz quality was in the toilet during that era. The Germans didn’t get their quality in check until around 2009 or 2010. I wouldn’t buy either a BMW E65/E66 7-Series or Mercedes-Benz W220 S-Class unless I had money to burn and wanted to make my local mechanic wealthy.

i have the 08 750li same body style as the 745li the only difference is the tail lights on the back.this cars runs strong and has a lot of torque.common issues,stem seals,leaks on alternator bracket gasket,cooling transfer pipe.all these were taken care after the 2012 models.All in all its a great luxury car.

Most of the modern technology in the interior of the cars today were put into effect starting 2002. but at a slow rate...HOWEVER this BMW frikin' has all the "new" stuff at once even back in 02'! Very impressive, I gotta buy me the 2005 (latest) model.

This test drive is awesome, just plain great, everything about it. 100 thumbs up. I only saw a BMW 7 in white like 2 times, most of them are in black. anyways the white looks awesome!!! Gotta love this car
I have a 96' 740i, I believe mine is pre vanos, it only had one owner before me and was looked after well, just before I bought it the engine was replaced, I've had it almost 3 years now, no major issues, guess it's luck.
im from germany im 18en , excuse me if i do some mistakes cause my englsih isnt so well.My dad have the same car.and i can say its wonderfull ,you got so much place for your legs and despite this strong engine the car isnt noisy.bmw stands for comfort ,sport and prestige.and if you want to be the king on the street buy this car :D.i know what im talking about.

or a 745 with warranty, i got the short wheel base and with sport package, gives way much sportier look, i think the long wheel base if you care about you're passengers cause the leg room is awsome.
after tons of repairments thou i have an 05 745i sport and still get some trouble on mine, i also had a 645i but just sold it to carmax and got me 2013 accord EX L V6 now thats a reliable car lol
