I live in Preston and to be honest. I prefer the Preston town. All city status has brought is destruction to rural areas. Waste of money Road network that causes havoc, industrial areas being thrown up when most current estates stand empty. Houses being thrown up everywhere, destroying the countryside and villages that used to be there own little idyllic places to visit. Preston indoor market gone and outdoor market turned into a joke. Preston council and Lancashire County council are a disgrace to the memory of past Preston and the hardworking people who built it. Sadly people today don't have the backbone to stand together and say, no more housing. Not needed. No more filling your own pockets with our money and try repairing our roads you bunch of useless idiots. Preston town had everything. Now it's all about retail parks. and car sales forecourts and houses that nobody can afford.days of being proud are gone. And don't mention uclan and it endless take over of every blade of grass for students accommodation. Surprised council ant took backhanders for Harris museum to stick some flats in for them. Free obviously.
