  • It was a true honour to meet Lloyd Colbourne after all these years watching his TV show "Newfoundland Outdoors". He was a true pioneer of Outdoor and Reality Television. Getting an opportunity to sit down with him and chat to both him and his wife made for a wonderful evening. It was my first time in Twillingate Newfoundland and it won't be my last. This wonderful island has some many hidden gems of towns that need exploring. I hope you enjoy this little video. Cheers and all the best

Met Lloyd and Bryce several times up at his cabin. We were hunting the same area. He invited us to his cabin for a few. What a gentleman, a pleasure to talk to. We could listen to his stories for hours.

Thanks for sharing your history with Lloyd. I'm certain he sparked the interest for many NL RUclipsrs. I know we always tuned into shows when we could and set the VCR to record them when we couldn't.

“Bryce old man, you unload the boat, set up the tent, gather some wood and boil the kettle for some tea, I’m going to fill my pipe and reflect on this beautiful evening as the setting sun cascades its last light on the glimmering water”
Never missed an episode! Thanks Lloyd.

Thank you Charlie, for this historic video, a sit-down with one of NL's most iconic figures among the televised chronicles of outdoor adventures with Lloyd 'n Bryce. Mr. Colbourne was a pioneer of sorts, forging the paths and roads necessary to lead to the many NFLDers who, such as yourself, produce incomparable content depicting our province and the rich outdoor experience it has still to offer.
Thanks again, stay safe and I look forward to your next creation.

What an awesome experience and time spent with one of the last of that generation of outdoorsman. Funny how it goes, Without knowing his knowledge is passed to men like you. Then to men like me and then to boys like my son. The trickle effect of the love of the outdoors in Newfoundland especially ripples through time. His knowledge and passion lives on. I'll have to get one of his books.

I crossed paths with Lloyd & Broyce a few times over the years. I would visit some of their old haunts for some quality fishing and I wasn't disappointed. He is a great ambassador for our Newfoundland Great Outdoors. He is quite a talented musician as well. Happy moose trails.

That was awesome. I grew up watching Lloyd and Bryce and couldn't wait for the next episode. They did a lot of trout fishing down near where I grew up in Indian Bay. Lloyd is looking and sounding fantastic. Lloyd was a real pioneer in NL. outdoor film production. I have a copy of his first book and still pick it up now and then for a relaxing read. Lloyd didn't say where his new books are available. If you know or could find out I'd love to get them. Thanks again for that video.

Looks great. I read one of those books. He has his email at the end of the book. I had emailed him one day asking where I may find copies of Newfoundland outdoors. Eight o’clock the next morning I get a phone call from Mr. Colbourne as my number was in my email signature.
