I have this love/hate thing with CDramas, but I can't stop watching them lol. The fact that there's probably like 4-5 scenes in this entire drama that took up almost the entire total runtime of people trying to convince the ML that he is not who he says he is, really makes me so mad that I'm wasting my time. But the short few minutes of seeing them realize their mistakes and regrets, makes it all worth it hahaha. Most CDramas are this way with the mistaken identities lol
True but I think this cdrama was pretty good and fairly well written. I've seen it multiple times already and I haven't gotten tired. I especially liked the characters of shen chi and Miss Jiang, they were both likeable, cool and attractive characters. Bei Fangwen and Zhao Huinan are great actors & considering that this short drama didn't really focus much on romance I think their characters had fairly great chemistry. This series also highlighted just how important trust and respect are in any relationship. You can see a clear contrast between Miss Jiang and the ex-wife.

Well not every series needs to have romance. But I mean Miss Jiang and Shen chi had a relationship that was based on trust and respect. She only met him days ago and still showed him more trust and respect than his ex-wife did in their 5 years of marriage. She had doubts about his identity but she was still willing to risk her life and everything for him.
Also considering that this was just a short drama I think shen chi and Jiang wanning had fairly great chemistry considering that the series didn't really focus much on romance.
The ex regrets her ignorance, all she wanted was the status, power, and money not the man- her insulting him and degrading his character under the disguise of “saving” him from “embarrassing” situations when he has already told her the facts says a lot about her and what little common sense she has so when she comes in with the “I’m doing you a favor” mentality she looks like a fool; she regrets looking and acting foolishly and if she had truly loved him then when they were apart she wouldn’t of insulted him, embarrassed him, nor would she have brought his character into question, she would’ve gave him mutual respect like he tried to do which is why her regret has less to do with him as a person but more to do with what he could give her, she regrets not cashing in and getting treated like a “princess”. I liked how the ML didn’t allow his ex to touch him, he not only didn’t want that touch but he didn’t want his wife to be to get disrespected, more ML needs to do this to SFL’s instead of feeding their twisted illusions.
Well I mean maybe she did love him to some extent. I mean she got jealous twice when she saw him with Miss Jiang but then again that could have just been because her ego was wounded that after divorcing him he got married to someone who was superior to her in pretty much every aspect & in no real time too. She also didn't seem comfortable getting closer to the other guy after the divorce so who knows. But in any event even if she did love him it was no match for her ego and ambition. Trust & respect are just as important in any relationship and she didn't show him these things. Even after being together for 5 yrs she never truly knew him or believed in him whereas she believed everything the other guy said without question including the lie that he was having an affair with Miss Jiang. Miss Jiang only knew him for a few days and showed him more respect & trust than his ex-wife ever did in 5 years. Miss Jiang was even willing to bet her life and everything on him even though she had her doubts about his identity. All the ex-wife ever did was belittle him believing that divorcing him was the best decision she ever made. She never even tried to defend him when her family was insulting him at the party.
The good part about this drama is how the ML have no mercy to everyone who really underestimate him especially his ex. I really glad he didnt let his ex touch him n didnt give sh%t.
I particularly like his "unconcerned" look when he was being, humiliated and peered at the investment banquet by the arrogant Mr. Qin. He just kept quiet and smiled while he was being insulted, until......
Even after his real identity is revealed they still doubt him🤦🏽😂 Even with all the evidence and backing up of reputable figures, they still are in denial🤣 Just mental🤦🏽
It never is. Despite getting many proofs of who shen is his ex family always finds a way to create doubt sighhhh even when the guy couldn't even get them into the banquet they still believed him over shen. Unfortunately this is not the first time I've seen thus exact thing. I've watched atleast 5 of these and it all goes the same way and ends the same way. One story line just different background and sometimes its a female instead of a male lead
The new way of videography only 3-4 seconds and change angle or zoom in really got me keep watching. storyline is ok. Invitation fakes replay 2x was a little redundant. Overall good short.😅

This short series has zero romance, it was all about his hidden identity! I would have enjoyed it more, if the FML and ML had more love relationship.
