Sorry I didn't get to reply sooner, but I took a step back since Saturday to relax a bit. I sure appreciate your support and nice words. I did step it up a notch this year after dabbling into making more of my own stuff last year, and relying less on what AtmosFX are offering. The funny thing is, that even though it may seem more advanced than previous years, it came together surprisingly fast in only two weeks. Maybe because I had the story ready and then didn't have to spend so much time on trial and error as previous years. :)
@@ProjectThisHouse No worries! You're talking to the guy that didn't post Christmas videos until June. I'm not exactly Johnny On the Spot. The custom animations are fascinating to me. @@sudman Thank you very much for watching. This is called projection mapping and I use video projectors placed about 35 feet in front of my house to do it. It consists of two parts: First the mapping, where you place a projector so its beam covers the whole house. Then you outline the shape and features of the house in a paint program on a laptop connected to the projector while it's being projected onto the house. You mark the placement of the projector, so you can repeat it when showing the finished video. Second step, is the creation of the video, using the "map" you made of the house. Can you run us through some details please? What projector did you use? How did you create the animations and get them to line up so perfectly to your house? What do you play after this show? How long does setup take?
Hi Jayant Mathur. Sorry for the delay in answering you, but I had a little thing called Halloween that happened last night. LOL. For the video you're commenting on, I used an Optoma EH460ST with 4200 lumens. The reason the video fits the house shape perfectly, is because I made/traced a map of my house to begin with using the same projector from the same location as when I show the video. I then used that map as a guide during my animation. As long as I just made content that fit the map, the finished video will line up perfectly with the house, when showing it. For more details, you can google "House Projection Tutorial" and a lot of informational videos will pop up. When a show is done, I have a buffer of about 2 minutes for people to leave and new ones to come in, before the show plays again. A basic setup would take me about 15 minutes, and that includes the projector, covering my windows with fabric covers, setting up speakers and pulling cables.
Instead of Donald Trump they should’ve done Biden that would’ve definitely made the kids either scream for their lives or run away in fear LMFAO besides that amazing video great job!

Hi @kac2868. Thanks for watching. I think there are some people who would like to have that in real life. :)
Well, words fail me. Outstanding! Simply outstanding! Your creativity and humor overwhelm me. You have some seriously mad skills! Absolutely loved it from start to finish. And your finale was epic! Astounding work. Don’t know how you’ll ever outdo this one.
Hi Margaret. Thank you for your kind words and your support. I'm right with you, I don't know either where to go from here for next year. LOL. :)

Wow Wow wow Did I say Wow? Amazing!! I think what I am most jealous of (besides your talent, creativity, and story telling and Adobe abilities etc) is the fact that you have a crowd that stays longer than 30 seconds haha! I am finding myself creating for the "hit and run" crowd.. Maybe it's time to move out west. Here on the east cost I hear "trick or treat...thank you..cool house.." then they are gone.. Love this video. Great job!
Hi Rich. Sorry it took me a while to get around to replying, but I took a couple of days off after Saturday. Thanks for the kind words. I'm happy with the result myself and it was actually a quick project to put together. It only took two weeks, so I must be getting better at this. LOL. Next on my list is to check out what you've come up with...but I still have a bunch of comments to review first. :)
Let the children enjoy it. It's 'their' holiday.
Hi @JayYoung-ro3vu, Thanks for watching. I totally agree. I'm doing it for them and it's just great to see them interact with the show in all kinds of different ways. Especially these days where most of their entertainment comes from a little 7" digital screen. :)
Hahaha the ending was great, very fun!

Hi Jim W. Thanks for watching. I'm happy you enjoyed it. Since projection shows are tailor made to the shape and features of each house, unfortunately they can't just be mass produced and sold. :)
@@ProjectThisHouse thats my favorite part about all of this. Its usually all custom made for your specific house so each one is very unique. Im sure there are some good editors and animators who could animate the same exact thing on to another house but it still would never be exactly the same because of the different features of the house and who would wanna go through all the work to do something thats already been done.

They all scream when Trump comes out. 😂
If they wanted to scare them, they should of put a picture of Pelosi with a witch hat on.
omg this is awesome I lost it when Trump and the kids started to scream
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Instead of Donald Trump they should’ve done Biden that would’ve definitely made the kids either scream for their lives or run away in fear LMFAO besides that amazing video great job!

Well, Trump has an orange pumpkin head, so it's fitting. 🎃
Nah, Trump does a great job at scarring kids and making parents laugh🤡. 😂🤣

Hi Troy Kristoffer. Thank you for stopping by and watching. I'm happy you enjoyed it. :)
simply put, best thing I have ever seen. I would love to know how you did this. amazing. great job.
Hi John Quick. Wow. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.
I use Adobe After Effects to make the video, and place the different elements so they fit the shape of the house. Textures are done in Photoshop, some of the animations are from AtmosFX, and some I make myself. This video is pretty advanced, but it's easy to get started with something simpler, and still get a great effect. :)
