I run pmags in mine and they run flawlessly. They even drop free with the mag release, even thou some people claim they dont (might have to do with adjustments made in the production of the gun?) I had mine threaded and run a can on it perfectly. With my nikon 1-4 scope, I consistantly shoot 2 inch groups at 100 meters both with handloads Hornady 52 grain amax and some bought Fiocci and Sellier & Bellot, so I guess thats what you get accuracy wise. Nice rifle for those who cant get an ar15 where they live.
I come here from the Benelli italian site and it seems to be still produced. So don't worry about replacement parts. If some weapons are no longer produced/sold in the US is maybe due to customs duty. For example Beretta doesn't sell ARX-100 in Italy anymore, because it's produced directly in US for US market and it's too costly to ship it in Italy (in the opposite direction in this case). That's crazy if you think that Beretta is an italian brand. For Benelli, maybe it's the result of protectionism adopted as economic policy in the US the last years, but i'm not sure, i'm just supposing.
are they banning all semi autos or just some? its weird i'm in the middle i'm for some gun cotrol for the us because our laws are crazy lax, but i dont support stricter laws if they were vlike canadas, if laws presetly in efect were enforced prperly no new laws woud be needed, am i wrong?
@@MrBillcale Are you nuts? Gun laws are more restrictive here then you realize. And yeah, punish those of us with those semi-autos cause of someone else's actions. -_-
Great video, I will make a slight correction however asinine it may come accross. STANAG mags are made to a specific agreed NATO standard to allow for use across all STANAG compatible rifles. However not all magazines for the AR15 are STANAG. For example the P-Mag will not function in many STANAG rifles, the E-Mag (Export Magazine) was produced specifically because of this and you can see for example that the UK purchased E-Mags for use with their STANAG SA80 rifles rather than P-Mags.
Thats good info to know! Thanks i will remember the difference. Going off your definition i think the MR1 was designed for STANAG mags. Cus others report problems with some polymer mags.
Hey, nice rifle. when you removed your rear sight did you find a rail section to screw in where the rear sight was to mount your rear scope ring? or is that just left blank and you mounted it just to the rear of the factory rail?

Benelli mr1 all day long if you’re buying it to be something you can count on after thousands of rounds in shit hits the fan scenarios. Reliable as all hell in comparison. If it’s a range toy (and there’s no shame in that!) then whatever seems more fun to you
I dont believe the MR1 is in use by any military. It was marketed to Law Enforcement in Europe so its possible it got picked up in its shorter version by an agency over there. Its hard to compete with AR variants or surplus ARs for Military and LE contracts
Here in the states we can have ARs so there’s no real reason to buy one of these but for the royal subjects to our north it seems like a pretty good choice be nice if it was in a heavier caliber though 223 fine for deer but Canadian moose or large bears i’d want a bigger caliber
@@3DVIDEOSMurray i still need to watch this one, my girlfriend isn't quite as into firearms as I am.... tomorrow though. Maybe if needed we can figger out the SLR.
On the break down the tab on the hand guard is made exactly for removing the spring. I bought mine new about 9 years ago and that’s how the manual shows disassembly. When you took the front sight post off, is that a permanent mod?
3-D VIDEO'S sorry I jumped the gun on my question haha. I wasn’t sure that you were going to address what you did to it and I watched further and finished your video. Yes very permanent indeed. I was thinking you got a different hand guard that didn’t have sights.
As he said in video, he doesn't have the tri-rail, instead he glued the rail to the bottom. You can screw a rail down there with proper grinding/sanding.
3-D VIDEO'S I own 4 of these Beautiful rifles with 23 factory mags. I also have the pic rail kit. I have not yet install it as I just love the rifles look as is. I’ve removed all my gun videos off my channel in fear of further reprisal. I wish I never left Alberta. But my job made me move East.
Why the hell did they not chamber this in 5.56?????? Who the hell manufactures a rifle like this in .223???? Huge deal breaker for most people on a rifle of this price.

the best benelli mr1 review ive seen so far, thank you!

First.
Let's press F for all rocket launchers in Canada.
Excellent video, it's the best youtube firearm review video I have ever seen.
There is also a very cool 12.5" barreled version. It is apparently uncommon as just photos online of it are rather elusive.
The image at 2:55 is the 12.5" version which is restricted and available in Canada at some stores
From the small amount of research I've done the mr1 isn't on the new ban list

Which Pmag magazine are you using? Gen2 or Gen3?

Aren't alot of those guns mentioned in the same price range on the ban list or in serious danger of being added to the ban list?
It catches my attention that I've nevwr seen one in the US and are very popular in Mexico.
Brilliant. So very well done and high fidelity. 🇨🇦👍
I was curious how you feel about the Benelli MR1 compared to the WK180C?
Id pass on the WK180C given the many hit and miss QC issues ive read... but would say that the WS-MCR > MR1.
@@3DVIDEOSMurray thank you, Great review!
is the MS-MCR a newer varient?

Great review, I got to 14 minutes. Benelli needs to remember the K.I.S.S. principle.
Well done review. very thorough.

Just bought one! Year is 2023 and i paid $2,305.00 + Tax.
Great gun though and id recommend it
A great well built rifle but a little heavy to carry in the bush for the day.
so is this gun any good?
Hey Murray, are you by chance getting a BCL SLR? Would love to see a review of it by you........
Not sure if I myself will. But I know a few buddys that may. SO there is a good chance ill be able to review it in the future.

Was this filmed a little bit ago, or are gun stores in South AB starting to open up again?
Filmed Pre 2020 ban. Not sure about stores. I know most Albertan outdoor ranges never shut down tho.

I swear these are rarer in the us than those holy grail pre ban “assault rifles”
Whats the finish on the barrel?
Hey buddy how did you install tri rail on it and then bipod on it can you share please
