    Brook bridge is so iconic, and the views of lower manhattan from the bridge is unmatched

    I am so impressed by the history of this project and the courage of its builder that I hope I will be able to see this bridge up close. I will try to get a closer look at it

    The engineers back then are on a different level; everything was hand drawn and visualized in there head. Plus everything was hand calculated, compared to now we; have all kind of computer simulation software.

    America's first mega-project was actually the transcontinental railway. 3000 miles coast to coast built 20 years earlier than the Brooklyn Bridge.

    I can really respect Washington for working with them . I cannot say much more cause this the only video I seen about him and the bridge but seems like a boss I would work for

    This is one reason Roebling was the best bridge builder in the World ! The Brooklyn Bridge is more famous , than its older sister (16 years older) , but she is still a beauty to the Cincinnati area residents . They know theyre about home when she pops into view at the bottom of "The Cut in the Hill" !

    Walked this bridge in 2012 9pm on a weekend. Came up the stairs brooklyn we seen a bum pissing on the subway wall entrance and got the he'll back to Manhattan

    How about that railway line from the west coast to the east or the telegraph line same place? Don't these classify as mega projects? Damn sure I would not want to pay for them. Oh and more importantly they came before a freaking bridge.
