Jp instruments are absolutely safe for longevity. I bought the jp274 euphonium 3rd hand which is more than 15 years and it is untouched. It sounds absolutely amazing. I am considering buying this model. Thank you for the video
I test played the 333 before.. it plays great!!. Totally worth it as a school horn, a doubling horn, first bass.. etc.. -Bruce in ATL (yes that Bruce) lol
Hey Christopher/ the trombone god, I was wondering do you by chance have a contrabass trombone, and if so what are your opinions on it? Ive been finding specifically contrabass trombone interesting so I wanted to hear your opinion on it!
The only horn I’ve played that is better than my JP/Rath 230 is my Rath R1. And though I don’t have it anymore, the best King 3B ever made is a JP/Rath 231. Trombone, 65 years and counting! At 75 I still have a few more good notes to go before...
Yo are you a Persona fan at all? I think it'd be really cool if you could make a cover of one of their songs! (Probably something like "Last Surprise" or "Beneath the Mask")
Either it's really great or my bass playing isn't good enough to know the nuanced differences. I'll be playing a full arrangement on it in a few weeks so you can decide for yourself!
@@classicaltrombone ight I really appreciate I'm currently looking for a bass that the price isn't to hefty and the price is really good for a double trig so thx for the opportunity to learn more and help me with my research
Nice and informative video 👍 This is a pretty nice Basstrombone for the money. Still if ,,you" want to be a pro one day and if we talking about Rath, there's one of the most world famous models: Rath R9. Beautiful basshorn, amazing quality, brilliant customer service from Mike Rath 👍 Unfortunately you can't drive a Lamborghini paying in the same time for WW 😜 With two words...it's expensive .
Russell is right, but using the 2nd trigger by itself is a compromise usually. If you tune the trigger it's the same as a 5th position, the low D will be a bit sharp. If the D is in tune, the 2nd trigger will play a flat 5th position note
I own that exact same horn and I absolutely love it
Me too! It’s great.
I do too! It’s a fantastic horn
I love trying to play the tuba parts on my trombone in my high school band! Nice video!
Yesss, been waiting for this since the tenor review came out
Really glad I watched this video! Can't wait to buy my own bass trombone!

Good luck in Seattle with my fellow bandmates throughout the week jealous that I can't go but I love what y'all are doing.

Can you make a video about how to play Bass Trombone? I can’t find any resources explaining how the two triggers work compared to one
Thumb Trigger changes the Key to F middle finger changes to F# both changes to D. There are several bass trombone method books that can help you out.

Was on time and wasn’t late cause of homework this time squad
There aren't many basses I would trade my JP333 for.
Yea boi bass trombone
Does anyone know what song that he played a bit of at (1:48)? I swear ive heard it somewhere before.
Senorita
@@josh9395 thank you so much
