I just got this today and saw a part of the instructions that showed how to put the insulation for the cup holder back on, so I did the reverse to take it off and we'll use it with just the bare plastic. It fits her thermos sippy cup perfectly that way. Thumbs up! Thank you so much for your review. It pushed me over the edge to purchase today. I've been researching for what feels like forever and wanted to buy during the Babies R Us Trade In this month!
I'm about to buy my daughter a second seat & I found this super helpful, I think I'm going to go with this seat instead of getting a second Grace 4ever, after watching this I just am in love with this seat & you explained everything so well! I now have a final decision, lol. Thank you!!☺️☺️
Thank you for this review! Very informative. I'm getting ready to buy a new car seat for my 1.5 yr old son and I've been looking at a billion reviews, my head is about to explode! Haha. I'm also not crazy about the insulated cup holder, I wonder if they sell the regular cup holders from the other versions and if they would fit on the Zip version? That would be awesome! I can wholeheartedly say that your review put my car seat search to an end. Thanks again!
+cherrychiri Awe thank you for watching! I'm glad it could help(: I did the same exact thing, it's overwhelming all the options out there, haha. I've never seen it for sale out and about in stores but I'm hoping maybe eventually it will be!
I actually just got this carseat today and saw in the instructions that the insulation was just a cover (there were instructions to put it back on), so I just took it off and will use the bare plastic. Much better! :-)
push the yellow button labeled "latch" downward to open it without having to force it. Over time, opening it by force can cause it to drop open by itself.
+Devi Seecharran Thank you for watching! We use the Chicco Urban stroller. We love it! I actually have a review of it as well on my channel(: it's right here: ruclips.net/video/92tcySJFuz8/видео.html&lc=z13uzpe5zlq0uj5vm23wgr2jtovixdgpy04
VERY helpful!!! Thank you. I have been wanting to purchase this carseat for a while now! Planning on getting it with my last check on Wednesday and was looking for some place with a coupon!!!! Thanks so much :)
How do feel this carseat stands up to heat? We live in Florida and the sun can be brutal (especially since this is left in the car permanently). I see they now have the NextFit Zip Air but it's nearly impossible to purchase it.
+BrittanyMayBee Since it does have the memory foam padding, it is a little hotter than other car seats. Where we live, it's not bad but I'm not sure about Florida heat because we've never used it there. I've seen the Air version at my local Babies R Us and I've heard lots of good things about it!
THank you so much for this awesome summary of features and review (and for your tips about where to get it cheaper!)! Question - How easy is it to get your child in and out of the car seat? When you sit them in, do you have to try to get the belts and buckle out from underneath them or do they stay out of the way pretty well? (Thanks!)
+Emily Samimi Thank you for watching! We have a Subaru Legacy and never had any trouble getting her in until recently. She'll be 2 soon and she's still rear facing so we have to hold her like an infant and kind of sling her in there. The hip buckles always stay outwards, sometimes the shoulder straps get tucked behind but not too bad🙂
Thanks for the review! I know this video is a few years old but I'm wondering how long you were able to keep your child rear facing? (I have a very tall son and I'm trying to decide between this zipfit and the zipfit max). Thanks!
Happy to help momma! My oldest refaced until she was 4, my middle until she was 3.5, and my youngest who is 2 is still currently so! Our middle is very tall for her age and she had no problem rear facing for awhile!
I am in love with the zip cover wow I have the older version maybe I can order the cover. I love the color. Oh the shoulder straps are on the wrong sides and upside down. Lol not sure if you saw that later. The black top pieces in your video actually go be hind the chest clip :)
Please add to your caption description the model, because not all NextFit comes with the waist pads or the double clip . This model you have Is NextFit Zip Air Max Extended Convertible Car Seat. I just bought this upset thinking they forgot to put the waist pads and then I read the manual and it said with selected models only. 😔 that model is $130 more.
Sorry you ran into that! We do not have the Air Max, those have completely different fabrics in the back. Our model is no longer made because this video is over four years old. I’m not sure what model you bought but if it’s the most basic $300 right now, Chicco has the Comfortflex pads available for $20 on their site that will be compatible with that model. They also fit other model numbers so just check yours against the description of the listing for the pads and I’ll link that below! We’ll update the description box to explain more for others coming across the video. Thanks! www.chiccousa.com/parts-and-manuals/replacement-parts/nextfit-convertible-car-seat-comfort-kit/126147204.html
I have read that the higher sides on this seat make it difficult to put your child in and out. Do you find that to be the case? I am short (5'3") and have a Honda Pilot, which is kind of tall so I struggle with my chunky baby. I am trying to decide on a convertible seat as we are graduating from the Chicco KeyFit 30 for my 20-pound 5-month-old. Any opinion would be appreciated! Thank you for the video!
I have heard that too but I don’t think so in my opinion. I’m 5’5” and we’ve used this car seat in both a sedan and now our SUV. Neither were an issue getting our daughters in and out. And my youngest is super tall for her age (90th percentile). I think it’s a good option but I’d try it out yourself. If you have a BuyBuyBaby near you they typically let you try car seats in your car as long as you leave your license with them. That way you could install it and try putting your baby in to see if it’s an issue for you guys. Just a thought!
Yeah, I just didn't want this to be an instructional video. But there's a bottom panel that goes up 3/4 the back of the seat that opens up and you just pull the straps through. Nothing too complicated. After doing it a couple times it was easy for us. Hope this helps!
excellent review,i ve an older son and i m looking for a big seater.i feel this one will fit for him. can u please give me the measurement of seat to shoulder height, height between the seat(where the babys bum sits) and the top end of shoulder strap(on maximum lifting),so that i can assure whether my son can sit without bending his spine.hope u got what i wanted.it will be very helpful for me,i will appreciate so much .thank u alia
Thanks for the review! Did you notice the overlapping headrest (because it adjusts up and down) pushing your daughters head forward or anything? All carseats seem so similar except how comfortable it is for the little one which is hard to figure out when they dont talk! Any thoughts on that appreciated!
I think if u have a premie the doctors give u a special seat that lays flat since the baby doesn't have the neck strength to sit up right without their airway getting blocked off
+Happy Crunchy Mama The color name is: Ibis. It's more of a neutral pink color. It depends on what you consider gender neutral but I've seen this car seat in a classic black pattern as well!
I'm not sure what you mean. Of course your car seat needs to be properly installed and cannot just sit inside the car. But if you're talking about using a car seat in multiple cars it is absolutely safe as long as you're correctly installing it according to your car seat and car manual instructions.
@@MommaAlia The chances of you installing it correctly every single time, are extremely slim, moving it around too frequently can lead to incorrect installs more often than not. It can also weaken installation straps, or your cars seat belt.
Thank You Thank You for your thorough review, this is exactly the kind of review I was looking to see.

We got 2 of these way back I think 5 years ago because of this video

Hi and thank you for the video!!
Can the cover of the headrest be removed for washing?

can the 9 inclines can be used looking forward? thanks
+mela33 As long as it's within the range on the levels for forward facing, yes.
Great video! Thank you for the info!
Happy to help!!
can the headrest be removed to be washed too?
I'm not sure about that!
You can remove the cover to the head rest to wash it.
+Nichole Huppman thank you!
Can it be used for a new born ?
As long as they fit the requirements!
How do I get more harness strap mine too short?
+Ramzi Sayfadeen Try pressing the yellow strap release button that is near their feet while pulling on the harness straps(:
can the cup holder insulation be removed? (Sorry, I didn't have time to watch the entire video).

can this ship to australia
+Kaio firme That would depend on where you buy it from I suppose
No this is approved for US use only. It would be illegal for you to use.
Yes as I have one :)

Where do you get these from?

Momma Alia thank you😉
Do you have problems adjusting the harness strap at all? Is that chest clip difficult to pull up at all?
Nope, none of that is hard for us to adjust. I noticed they started to move easier after a month or so of use after they were more "broken in"
