Super cool pedal and great demo! I'm on the hunt for a new Fuzz and this pedal is very tempting. I think the reason it doesn't clean up that much in the second mood area is because that area is based on earlier Tone Benders, which are known for not cleaning up as well as the Fuzz Faces. The third area seems like Fuzz Face territory, and the fourth area is Big Muff. I'm just guessing, but that's what it sounds like to me. No idea what the first area might be based on.
I looked at a bunch of other videos, and apparently the first area is apparently based on broken speakers that has been cut into, like on the original You Really Got Me by The Kinks. Is there a manual for the Moho? Would love to know if it goes into more details
@SashaIvantic - I got mine to go with my Ridge. It’s pretty good. But the 3rd mode is EXTREMELY noisy with single coils or Humbuckers if the FUZZ is above 12 o’clock. A bit annoying tbh.
It's out! Awesomeness!!!! I can imagine that using this on your studio desktop and capturing the tones you come up with could be a really good workaround to using it with midi.
Thank you Sasha for this review! I love the technology in Kernom pedals but I would be lost in dialing this thing. I wish Chase Bliss could release an automaton version of Fuzz. I prefer their approach when it comes to user interface, more intuitive to me.
I have the automatone as well and I have to say they’re both as intuitive. The kernom feels even more like a traditional pedal. With the chase bliss you can see your settings change though, that is a big plus.
how well can this go into muff territory? I am looking for a do it all fuzz atm and have my eyes set on a Source Audio Kingmaker but this has caught my eye!
Great playing and great tones, but I ask again, please play some more chord stuff, as I feel that can often reveal way more dramatic differences between fuzz pedals for me and be the deciding factor. And yes, I recognize here alot of the time was occupied by glorious octave riffage. 🔥 Thanks. Also wish it came in a different color like white, but that seems to be occupied by their drive offering. For that matter not a fan of the whole aesthetic but having midi flexibility with all those presets will be tempting.
I’m not a jukebox. There are probably other channels that suit your needs better. And you can always go to a store or purchase a pedal to try it with the notes and chords you’d like to hear it with. Thanks for watching.
