Shu Tong's acting in this drama was outstanding. These roles suit him better that the violent ones he has been doing. Lan Lan performance was also outstanding. I've seen her in a lot of dramas and her work is fantastic. Well done.
Need to have a longer version of this with the same ML and FL and also yu long and Yang mei mei should do this type of drama but he doesn't be abusive to her he always protects her

Beautiful main leads, the story was good with an unexpected ending and for a short story I got everything except the big baddie didn’t get punished. Got a nice wedding even though it was abbreviated. The brother and assistant were so funny the aunt was a good foil for the ML. I liked that the FL got to show a good range from the mute girl to a badass. The ML looks, talks acts like a CEO not a kid playing dress up and my heart broke for him at the cemetery. Well done to the crew for a good story going on my list to rewatch.
shu tong can act! no question about that, lan lan can too, im just bot sold on their pairing for some reason, i have seen the zhu yiwei and bai xinyi version, itheirs feels more complete, maybe coz the editing doesn't feel rushed. this one feels rushed for some reason. ive read somewhere zyw and bxy are real couple so maybe part of that why their version feels more spot on due to their chemistry. shu tong and lan lan feels okayish compared to theirs. they look good together, act well together, but i don't feel as much chemistry between the two.
*_although he leads[shutong/lan lan] have done a good job, the cutting of certain important scenes and the worse subs, make you lose that TOUCH with this type of story..this is again a remake of that "medicinal woman, whose blood will save my life"" kinda story..the other version had very good actors and the story was explained in greater detail too the dad dies along with the mom of the ML, who was kept alive using the body freezing method and the entire research was done by the dad of the ML, because of which an entire village including the chief of the village who happens to be the fL's dad, were wiped out ,leaving the lone survivor --the fL....the subbing is very bad and loses touch of what the actors actually mean to say.but this is ok for a one time watch_*

This was too short. Too many details are missing. Could have been great but unfortunately this made it mediocre. The acting was top notch.

This was an Okayish Watch, a remake of another longer one I had seen starring Zhu Yi Wei and Bai Xin Yi, that Version was way better than this 😊.
