    Vault 76 was never meant to house the “best and brightest”, it was a vault full of maniacs. It’s the only explanation for why there’s a naked man dancing on my house.

    I think its important to say the Raiders only blew that dam that flooded Charleston and killed so many because their leader David tough he lost his girlfriend Rose on the attack. Little did he know she was alive and kept prisoner , and he killed her in his rage.

    Despite everything with 76, the map and world is amazing and very well done, in my opinion.
    I think the 25 years after the bombs instead of the 200, make it more realistic and believable.

    • @fartkerson
      @fartkerson Год назад +2

      While I enjoy Fallout 76 I disagree that it needs to be either realistic or believable. To me it was always a scifi fantasy RPG series complete with Knights and Scribes of a Brotherhood, similar to the knights of the round table. It was never supposed to be realistic, but rather a science fiction fantasy series, like the Sword of Shannarra, or the old Heavy Metal animations combined with Mad Max. Of course, Bethesda slowly transformed it into a realistic FPS.
      Still an enjoyable game series but not the Fallout I truly want deep down in my heart of hearts. I always imagined the Fallout world slowly evolving into something more akin to Shannarra, which was also a post-apocalyptic earth that morphed into a fantasy world, but rather than 200 years in the future it's 2,000 years after the bombs and people have mutated into new races.

      While I do see your reasoning, I heavily disagree. While it does mean that there are reasons for why it’s not NCR levels of civilization, it also is weird that appalaica is an eco paradise so shortly after the war.

    HONEST REVIEW for a new player in 2024.
    In short the game is awesome in now in April- May 2024 BUT
    BUT...
    In 2 weeks I powered to level 100 doing mostly event, a few main and side missions as well. Needless to say i got a good overall picture and engement.
    I realised this game is like I jumped from a helicopter into the middle of the ocean without knowing how to swim. (Which i really don't know how to).
    I agree there is much to do, go, see, and explore ... the map is alive and interactive... BUT
    BUT there's a flip side to that
    Unless you buy fallout 1st to get an unlimited stash size AND CREATE your own custom world to make the game more simple/ fun/ less grinding... you'll be in for a very frustrating grinding experience.
    The problem is its too grinding to just enjoy half an hour or four hour without worrying about repairing stuff or drinking stuff or eating stuff and counting your bullets.
    It's very hard to solo the game unless you spend a lot of time to level up your XP to a god tier (bloodied) build and PLAY and PLAN towards the end game meta.
    You need to know what you're doing with your perks cards, perk points, legendery cards, mutations, food/aid items... know about armour, weapons and craft and grind a lot for stuff like flux, treasury notes, bullion... getting caps for plans, finding plans, getting resources to fix everything you use to play.
    You need other people for events to really get end game loot/ materials... you need to launch nukes in certain areas and that requires some doing... but even if it's easy for the experienced and long green player... when you get there you'll still need a few people to take down the scortched queen beast for example.
    Everything breaks, everything needs fixing, you gotta find plans for everything, crafting legendery takes a lot of farming of PUBLIC events and the craft effects are RANDOM , you don't get to keep or attach the crafted module... you have to re roll it 10000 times for the 3 star legendery effect you want. Trust me there's not enough time in your life to roll ALL of the 3 star legendery effect you want.
    Fallout 1st is the only solution to either play in A CUSTOM WORLD to turn off the grinding and put a lot of stuff to easy, free, god mode, more damage etc. That way you can focus on the story.
    Not everyone wants to pay $20 a month subscription to have a couple of hours of fun on the weekend and very few want to grind for materials to fix their weapon and gear breaking or worry about food and water.
    It takes itself too seriously in a short attention span world with infinite other - micro transaction or online subscription service - games trying to grab your attention and wallet.
    If you don't mind being unemployed to put in full time hours to not just play but find everything and fix everything... then you've got a game you can play easily for 5-10 years. This is probably why the game is still kicking... thy end game is a constant grind YOLO RNG to get the loot, gear or legendary effects you want.
    PLEASE BETHESDA... package it as a SINGLE PLAYER - let's us customise the world without the grinding, easier to play it solo i.e. solo events. You can release the MAIN story and current or future additions as DLC.

    Story of this game is really bad ( but really, really bad). I has no deep theme, it is composition of loose ideas that contradict each other and it is infantile just like all npc's in the game (especially overseer - she is so uninspiring character). I wonder what happened to places like Foundation after the events of 76. @@IrresoluteCartographer If Foundation does survive, it would be interesting. I imagine that, if it’s still around by whenever Fallout 5 takes place, it would be one of the oldest cities on the East Coast. • @ConnorSpears
      @ConnorSpears Год назад +22

      Rightly so, the "story" brakes the brotherhood lore of fallout and is in short, a lazy attempt at fan service that's mainly told via terminals. Terminal tales and unmarked quests used to be a fun interesting way to add extra life to fallouts open worlds. Using that solely to tell your main story, with some holotapes to give the illusion of life was/is the most disappointing attempt at story in modern gaming. I haven't touched it since the DLC but I'm pretty sure they ended up adding NPC's two years after release and still messed it up, too little to late

    • @xxxTHEHALOMASTERxxx
      @xxxTHEHALOMASTERxxx 8 месяцев назад +6

      Prior to the addition of the brotherhood to fallout 76 there was established lore that the brotherhood did not exist yet at this point, so them showing up in 76 breaks that and Bethesda had to rewrite the Brotherhoods origins because of it

  • @ConnorSpears
    @ConnorSpears Год назад +5

    Hate that the brotherhood are forced into this game, could have came up with a unique faction or double down on a separate enclave faction hiding there...instead I'm supposed to believe the brotherhood where in contact with their west coast origins and travel across a recently wartorn America to arrive on the west coast to isolate for years before a separate group heads east for Fallout 3/4 etc....why do this !! Who would have thought the "story" of 76 would end up being the worst thing about it

    Now that it’s been out a while and they’ve added a bunch of stuff since release. I’ve been very interested in the lore.
    I noticed that when you play it’s not always told to you or explained properly, as it depends on the player but also players. So it’s a bit foggy at explaining things at points, but I think that makes it more interesting to ask other people what they think is happening.
    This was a good video, interesting run down on the majority of the main game.

    I will never understand how people can complain so much about video games, I think fallout 76 is fantastic and so was fallout 4.
