I’m glad to see an H series getting the love it deserves. Great engines
Such a underrated engine here in UK
@@Gofast1234 same in the USA. Everyone wants to K swap everything because actual tuners like you are very rare to come by. K swaps are just a sad excuse. B/H/F series motors can produce a lot of horsepower too but most modern tuners are less knowledgeable. F series for example, people always say it’s “maxed out” well it no it’s not, it runs on the hot side of normal to trick the ecu to run a leaner A/F which affects the horsepower but helps it pass emissions. A simple thermostat and fan switch from Mishimito will net you about 3-5hp. The catalytic converter is horrible on the F series and typically with a test pipe and then you’ll see between 20-30whp difference around 6k RPM. Not to mention physically tuning the cams on the engine to affect the powerband. Because of electronic variable valve timing, tuners seem to have forgotten how cam gears affect the powerband. Sorry for the rant. I just get sick of the myths regarding older Honda motors and how overrated the K series is. Anyways, that H22 sounds like heaven. Good work
such a underated engine
Very 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That thing is sick.
Ah cheers mate ✌️
Fantastic car and motor. Always loved the ch1. I know you don't have this car anymore but description says this is a built motor. Could you elaborate on what was upgraded (such as balanced bottom end, pistons, crank, higher comp, block/sleeve upgrades)? Could a stock h22a7 with only the top end upgrades make this much power and handle 9000 rpm? In other words, were all the power increases achieved with the top end (cams, head, tune, inlet manifold) upgrades and the built engine (if "built" means the aforementioned bottom end upgrades) was just for reliability and longevity? or did the "built" part add power (such as if bottom end upgrades included a bump in compression)? Thanks. I wish there were more ch1's with modified n/a h22a7's to this level, at least on the internet. Wish you also had a video of this car running on the street or track.
@@Jeff_F7 - many videos of this car running on track and road etc on my page lol
Stock crank , rods , pistons , king bearings , rings , arp kit , all balanced with stock clutch and lightend flywheel and with harmonic pulley ,
Block just honed
Head skimmed , ported-polished and dimpled , b/c stage3 cam , skunk2 springs/retainers etc , ,
Ported inlet and then port matched head-inlet-throttle body
Engines in another car now , makes 280-290bhp with high comp bottom end
@@Gofast1234 Lol, you're right, you do have some videos of the car running. Engine absolutely screams. Where are those videos where you are on rural roads? Is that Wales? Love those roads. What car is that engine in now? I would miss that CH1 alot if I got rid of it like you did. Modern classic now. Would you ever get another CH1? We can now import those here in the US and I saw one being sold on an auction site here (Carsandbids) not too long ago. Might be the first one in the US, who knows. Hope to get one one of these days. Do you recommend? Reliable? Parts availability? Fun street car? Able to be daily driven even at 25 years old (at least the early models)?
@@Jeff_F7 - yea they are getting to 25yrs old now so you can import them to the usa ,,
Yea cracking car , great all rounder
Stock crankshaft? I'm curious to see if the h22a in the cl1 is capable of the same kind of performance with the same mods?
Highly appreciate how many man hours would've gone into this, cracking car!
Yea stock crank rods and pistons 🤘 ,,
The h22a just has domed pistons slighlty higher comp to h22a7 flat ones
When you say skunk2 head I assume you mean valves and springs ? What porting were done, these are great numbers.. did you delete balance shafts ?
Yea brian crower cam, rest skunk2 ::: ported the head and inlet manifold , and balance shafts in but no belt
@Luke James what pistons, conrods are you running?
- stock rods and pistons just pocketed and assembly balanced and racing bearings and ported oil pump
Hy where can i get carbon parts for my CH1, is there a site where i can order them? 👍
- try FIBREWORX ,, in the UK
Hey mate, if you still have your Accord, is the carbon bonnet custom or did you buy it? Would love to know where to get one for my own since I'm having a hard damn time finding aftermarket parts haha
Unfortunately dont have her anymore ,, panels you can buy from :FIBREWORX UK ,, 👌
@@Gofast1234 Thank you, that's a big help!
Loads of parts around ✌️
Hi There. H22A7? lovely build man !
Yea h22a7 ✌️🤛
Nice build! Can I know HP and TQ please? What rpm is your VTEC set at?
Vtec was high as it was stage3 cams ,, and 280s bhp
@@Gofast1234 👍 engine sounds beautiful
@@skromee - yea sounded the nuts fair play ✌️👌👌
🔥🔥🔥
Cheers dude
Hi luke, do you still have the accord? Need some advice on ECU. Is it simply p28 with a obd2 to obd1 harness then map? Or is there more to it?
And you need a B series IACV (2 wire)
@@Gofast1234 did you do most of the work yourself?
@@SDTBruce - yes mate
Do you still have it or have you moved on? Is it cool to add you on Facebook? Easier to messagr
@@SDTBruce - havent got FB , only instagram - PUG_K205
Iv stripped it now as i spun a shell on a track day ,,
Just the lightweight fibreworx bonnet and bootlid left for sale
Hello sir, which injectors are you using, and is this stock intake manifold?
Hi there 👏 ,, was 550cc gram injectors and stock inlet manifold but ported and modified
Are the injectors a direct fit? I have heard you need to drill out the injector hole for the type r intake manifold
@@frederikheiselberg6492 - no direct fit , simple swap and play 🤔👌 ,,
Even honda s2000 ap1 injectors will fit mate ✌️
Oh cool! Thank you so much for your advice brother 👍
@@frederikheiselberg6492 - a few fit , no modifying needed , just obv need to change plug on injector loom
Think the s2000 ones was around 30-40-50cc more than stock h22a7 ones
Wow thats a damn accord type R done right lol, but if i had one id probably keep the car bone stock with an air filter on it 😅💪🏼 nonetheless great car and nice mods bro!
To get good money for resale yea stock worth loads more 🤟🏻
@@Gofast1234 whats the going rates for em bro!?
@@uwkcal - all depends how clean and low miles you want etc , £5000 area + in UK
@@Gofast1234 i figured! Nice thanks for the replies bro!
Where did you get the carbon parts from?
They are here in UK for sale , bonnet and bootlid
With the Hondata is it literally straight into the ecu or do you have to convert to p28 and run a wiring harness
Yea hondata s300 goes onto the board , cut a little hole in casing for the plug / lead to map it , job done
@@Gofast1234 sweet cheers bud I’m planning on doing my own build on mine with itbs and a similar set up. But cheers that’s very helpful 👍🏼
@@danblackman1402 - only thing on H series ,,
Is the itb are really low and tucked down back of engine otherwise i would of gone itb route
Great car and love the H22 engines. But is 9200rpm not a little to much?
Engine was built , cams didn stop making power untill 9200
What pistons and rods you use in your built engine?
Stock rods , machined piston heads , uprated shells/bolts etc
@@Gofast1234 what compression is making with all the machined pistons?
@@migueljesus79 11-1 we worked it out to be
