Saved By the Bell & California Dreams along with USA High and City Guys Peter Engel wanted to spice things up on the show Maybe Warren Littlefield wanted changes on the show and it worked
Anthony Anderson became big after leaving Hang Time he was pretty funny on season 3 his last season on the show as I didn't watch season 2 until now just finished season 2 EP2.
I was glad that ABC Family aired Hang Time even if it was just season 3 to season 6 surprised they didn't air season 1 or 2. I only watched season 1 since I had 2 NBCs at my first house as Wood TV stopped airing NBC Sat morning tween/teen sitcoms at the end of 94, WNDU aired the shows got to watch them until I moved to the new house and Cablevision only carried Wood TV no out of market TV station other than WGN & TBS.
The "A Different World" of Saturday mornings. New cast members, new executive producers, format still intact with some subtle differences, and a new theme song to signal the transition from the first to second season.
True. Didn't think of that comparison. A Different can in season 2 with a more hype and creative them song plus added a few new characters like Sinbad which boosted the comedy factor. Anthony Anderson and Vinny definitely added the comedy too.
@4:56- It's so odd to see Anthony Anderson (as Teddy Brodis seasons 2 & 3) on Black-ish (ABC) and to see where his career has gone. Great to see him on TV.
I liked the new theme song better and getting The Stadium as the hang-out place at the mall was good and not a store like in season 1. I was surprised that Mary Beth & Julie became friends since Chris dated both in season 1 maybe Peter wanted us to forget LOL.
this is brilliant but where are the last 3 of season 1???? thanks a lot for putting these up coz im sure its a hassle but would love to see those missing episodes :)
the coach never met his own godson??? thats mad!!! dunno how being a godparent works in america, but in ireland, its usually a very close friend or close relative...i see as much of my godson as i possibly can!!!
Earl, Michael, Chris AND Sam???? Always found this huge cast change bewildering when I first saw this way back when...still is confusing now, why so many actors left so early into this show...
Saved by the bell was actually a spin off of good morning miss bliss and Brian austin green, and jonathon brandis were actually on it before they redid it and called it sbtb and had mark paul g and Dustin diamond for s2
@@wifferstess2824 Correct, it was Mark Fink the show's co-creator and Roxie Wenk Evans was the Producer of Season 1 as well Roxie Wenk Evans worked as a producer on such shows as Malcolm & Eddie, Blossom, Archie Bunker's Place, 227, Diff'rent Strokes, Who's the Boss?, The Charmings, Living Single and Game Shows such as The Original TattleTales and Double Dare with Alex Trebek
When a new Executive Producer came in during the second season he made a lot of changes. One was firing half the original cast and replacing them with new people. Second was changing the theme song. 3rd was changing the uniforms.
So... the reigning state champs in Indiana lost the next season's home opener by 50 points? 50?? Even if they lost 3 starters from the previous year... wouldn't a team with a girl who supposedly would eventually play at UConn still be good enough to not lose a random game by 50 points? TNBC's executives and writers really thought their viewers were idiots.
The character of Amy was also portrayed as very ignorant or dumb. It doesn’t seem to be a coincidence that Kristy later on was supposed to be smart - probably to avoid any negative stereotypes.
You can really tell from the opening credits that the guy from Saved By the Bell took over this show
Saved By the Bell & California Dreams along with USA High and City Guys
Peter Engel wanted to spice things up on the show
Maybe Warren Littlefield wanted changes on the show and it worked
Mary Beth, Vince and Teddy had the best comic timing of them all.
He disappeared (literally) after he was let go. articles.latimes.com/1997-04-17/local/me-49653_1_time-missing-persons
Well Of course Teddy is Anthony Anderson. His comic timing is always great.
@@jovongarrison974 You could tell Anderson's star would continue to rise.

Thanks for uploading I loved this series, its a shame they don't air re-runs anymore
Hangtime airs on Amazon on the TNBC channel now!!
1:35 Julie be like "Say no more, Danny..." 😍
The "A Different World" of Saturday mornings. New cast members, new executive producers, format still intact with some subtle differences, and a new theme song to signal the transition from the first to second season.
Liked the new theme song for season 2 until the very end.

What feels a bit weird is he was playing a teenager despite being in his mid twenties.
@@wifferstess2824 most actors playing teenagers are/were in their 20s
You could really see how good his acting was even back then..
The cheerleading uniforms changed too

I was actually just thinking this!
I know right....
what happened to the last few episodes of season 1
Deering's biggest loss was actually Kuta - without him, they were never the same!

Season 1 cast were really good n shuda stayed for at least 1 extra season. Season 3 cast were probably the best of 🌠🌠🌠
@@mainpointzs9940 nah season 3 was annoying, Manning was an annoying prick, shouting too much
Wasn't Chris a senior in season 1. Yeah, I think they should've kept Michael & Sam I wouldn't have mind if Earl came back either.
does anybody know where we can buy the hang time dvds?
Mary Beth was right. The light blue uniforms weren't flattering.
Josh Sanders looks 35; 8:23 Julie looking mighty fine
Chris, Earl, Michael, Samantha gone; new uniforms new intro song new mall hangout
Anthony played the coach's godson
no episdoe 11,12,13 for season 1?
No three point line?
Even the into changed in s2
he might not have them but someone else posted them since ur msg
None of these kids look like good hoopers. I can't believe I used to think they could hoop when I was like 9.
Daniella was an all stater
The laugh track feels weird in modern days.
Julie said to Chris she didn't want to date a teammate cause it could hurt the team. Yet she dated Chris, Josh and Michael, all teammates.
Were chris and sam seniors in s1? What about earl and mike ?
Nah they were all actors that got changed for season 2
Chris was a senior not sure about Sam.
@tashagregory search for hangtimecentral they have the episodes
Julie Got Game. See how she crossed over and scored the layup. She's fine too.
coach Carter
technalology? lol oh wow
I wish Sam stayed.
Kimberly Tini Evans i bet they were fired and replaced, they seemed to have retooled the show after first season like boy meets world did
