I watch these videos with audio only sometimes, and I can still understand what you are doing and saying because you describe everything with so much detail
Hi Courtney. My husband and I received a Green Cheek Conure rescue today. He's two years old and I named him Newt and he's going to stay, I think... because he's too cute.
This video really helps! How do you always manage to make a video right when I need it! Just yesterday my bird was chewing on my earrings and I was thinking of looking on youtube for help!
Thank you for this, I didn’t even know I needed it! My quaker is about four months old and he is VERY NIBBLY. I figured he just cant help himself and theres nothing to be done about it.
I let our birds play with my gold chain while I'm wearing it sometimes (so it's supervised). All our birds love playing with it and running it over their tongues lol. Any other jewellery, or anything dangerous we just take off (as you advised!) or re direct them away through targeting or giving them something more fun to do!
My bird likes my Freking Earlobes, he will not stop trying to nibble them (For thoes of you who have a lovebird, you know how much they hurt!!) Idk why he loves my Earlobes so much!
I am closely bonded with my four month old parrotlet! However one minute she is sweet as pie and the next she will bite me as hard as she can! Is this normal for a very young bird? I spend a lot of time with her! She has a large cage and lots of chewing toys, gets enough sleep at night, and is on a healthy diet!
My parakeet got my necklace twisted around her neck! I was watching TV at the time and thankfully saw it before she tried to fly. It could have been tragic!!!
My ears never seen ear ring but it doesn't stop my lovebird to chew it. Most of the time it's just soft preening bites but sometimes he give me a surprise xD
Hey! I know this is a bird channel, but I know that you're also a dog trainer so could you please do a puppy training video? Thank you! I love your channel!
Hello! Thanks for the great videos. I love them!! Question though: My bird is obsessed with my shoulder and bites my neck when they get on. They are fairly hand tame, they step up nice and they rarely bite, except when they are on my shoulder. I do not willingly let them on my shoulder but sometimes they get on because they are sneaky.. What can I do to teach them that they shouldn't bite my neck? They know not to bite my hands, but how do I get them to have the same behavior towards my neck? Thank you! We appreciate all your hard work!
He’s likely a hybrid maroon bellied conure and green cheek conure, presents physical and behavioural characteristics of both species but he leans more to the maroon bellied conure side!
I think it's fine if they stay on her shoulder as long as they are willing to come down. When my bird wasn't bonded with me and didn't know step up, I tried not to let her on my shoulder. She easily steps up and down now and will come off easy, so I let her up sometimes.

The toy necklace is a great idea!

I’ve found quakers overall are *very* nibbly. It calms down with training but both of mine enjoy it too much to completely remove the behavior😂
I wonder if this would work for my neck too. My quaker is pretty nibbly naturally and likes to chew on skin, moles, etc.

It could have been tragic!!!
My bird loves the big hairy mole on my forehead. Through negative punishment he has learned to chew it gently :)
bahahaha the 'tragedy' of having your birds too well trained already xD
re: neither of them actually nibbling your dangly earring
What if my bird doesn't want to be touched? He's not a new bird, but i wanna screech him ah xD
My ears never seen ear ring but it doesn't stop my lovebird to chew it. Most of the time it's just soft preening bites but sometimes he give me a surprise xD
Plzz make a video on desensitization of a bonded bird
Love behavioral solution episodes!!!!! Thank you so so much
Do you recommend any books or websites on conure cares that you found helpful?

Don't put your bird on your shoulder.
I think it's fine if they stay on her shoulder as long as they are willing to come down. When my bird wasn't bonded with me and didn't know step up, I tried not to let her on my shoulder. She easily steps up and down now and will come off easy, so I let her up sometimes.
My bird prefers sitting on my head.
Yall need to realise he's saying it as a way to avoid them biting earings / necklaces
HI
